This is one of the MOST comprehensive videos I've seen about MooseHaven. I had the pleasure to visit there this last 4th of July after attending our International Convention in Tampa, and I can attest that it is as lovely as it is portrayed. The residents have everything they could ever want! I purchased several handmade things from their gift shop, and I can tell you that the residents are really as sweet and thankful as they are in the video. This is what happens when people take care of other people and don't expect the government to do it. God bless Moosehaven, Mooseheart and the Fraternal order of the Moose. It is truly great work that we WOTM and LOOM accomplish for our seniors and children. I'm proud to be a member.

In 2005, I was privileged to script, narrate and produce this video on Moosehaven. As another commenter notes here, it is now, sixteen years later, significantly outdated. This was two years before John Capes came in to begin his dozen years as executive director; under his guidance, the campus has been significantly redesigned and significantly improved. Lithos film should be removed as it is so outdated. I have never seen waiters or waitresses, don't know where a clothing store would be located like what is shown. Anyone considering considering entering Moosehaven should know this film is not the Moosehaven of today..

What if you wanted to buy clothes , make up or skincare? They have control of all your money. I believe my mom said they used to give you 30 dollars a month to spend on what you want. That isn't squat. You could barely buy a pair of pants with that, let a lone a high end cleanser from Este Lauder or Lancome. Do they get your social security, retirement check , 401 k and IRA.? That could be a lot of money that they get!!! But if you had a little social security check and that's all this would be a good deal, Also, I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I wonder if there is a limit on how many pets you can have.
