About putting your picture in your villagers’ houses, I think you can do a custom design of yourself and customise some wall decor to make it the custom design you made of yourself. That way, you can hang your photo in your villagers’ houses :)
Yeah I really love this feature and its way easy to get Nook Miles. I finally give villagers whom I have ignored because their outdoor setting a chance to live on my island with proper designs that I think they should have.
There's a lot of little Japanese folklore in the game :) the Kappa of course, but have you wondered why the little baby is inside the bamboo? It's from a famous Japanese folktale called かぐや姫 (KaguyaHime), which is about an old man who finds a glowing little girl inside a bamboo stalk. Same thing with the peach decoration that has the little boy on a spring popping out of the peach. That's a reference to a story called 桃太郎 (MomoTarou) {Momo is Peach in Japanese} and has the same beginning premise with the old man finding a baby boy inside a large peach. :) Gathering a bunch of these little tidbits and presenting them would make for a somewhat interesting video I think.
I think I wouldn’t have done the large cardboard table, but rather another cardboard box or maybe even a standing plant in that far corner. Just so that he would’ve had one tile to get to the couch but the spot also wouldn’t feel empty. But what you did is nice too! You left other spots that he can walk to.
the matching tile to the bathhouse wall is the aqua tile!! 😊one of the customization versions of the square bath is also made of aqua tile, it's so cute all together!

if i would change anything i would use the bamboo groove wall it’s so pretty and i think it matches tobie’s green color scheme a bit more🥰 maybe keep the windows too! the thought of my villagers living in window-less homes makes me think they’ll get depressed with the lack of sunlight😔 besides that i love the decor you chose liss! i would definitely just move the screen & sofa back so it’s more walkable😁

You can create a custom design of the player and use it on the framed poster item to be your character's photo. It's a bit larger than villager photos, and I don't think it can hang on the wall after using a custom design, but it can still be put on a table. I did this exact thing for one of my player accounts.

I love your videos! To give the villagers walking space, try adding 2-4 more blocks to the room's size while keeping the arrangement. You might find some room for a rug where the bed is and next to the tub. Great room either way
