I use discord on quest via bluetooth connected to my computer, when I turn on my oculus it discord switches its input/output to the quest automatically

can You see on that app the cardboard headset view on a oculus screen?I mean full screen app and split it to different eyes and maybe sync movement from headset to app too? I am searching for this fuctionality, but no luck Yet. Even started a Oculus uservoice idea :P
How do we resize the screen of Vmos? I tried changing the resolution in app and it didn't do it and when I stretch it on the screen with the controllers it just pops back Into place

How is anyone getting the most unlocker because I've tried two different versions and it's not doing anything and I even checked on my phone to see if the unlocker was there so I could just snatch the APK off my phone and there's nothing in the Google Play store that says vmos unlocker

So to answer why discord needs you to select a device for people to listen to you. Discord mobile always defaults to "phone" and it messes with things on your quest. Setting it to speaker enables your microphone and speakers to have access to discord.
I did all you said, I manage to install the VMOS but I can not install any applications using the Play Store. Is only waiting for download... Am I doing something wrong?
hey this is not a problem with any apk or anything from this video but on my oculus my mic randomly just decided to not work could you try to help me? I have factory reset turn on and trun on the mic and nothing seems to work.
It being android, going through vmos, couldn't you adjust the sound settings to then be assigned to your headset (speaker)? And so when it's closed the sound won't close out as it's probably set on default?
So I tried this and when I realized I had to put the apks into the quest I tried to get the apks out of vmos files but each app has multiple apks that go with it including a base, split_config and more apks sometimes is there a way to download them as one or should I also download an apk extractor in my vmos app to extract them first and then move the files around in side quest
I wish Android could emulate the Oculus OS, then we could do all of the petty tasks without getting the battery of the headset down to 20% and heating my head up to sweaty times.. Imagine an 8 inch tablet, split screen, Sidequest on the Left and the home screen on the other side...? Loads easier and more pleasant

no, you wont get banned for using SideQuest. You cannot get beat saber from sidequest, but yes, you can install and older version of beat saber, to downgrade it to mod. I'm guessing this was your question? You need to have paid for BS anyway, and yes, SQ will check against a database.
Now can we Get the Coculus Home Screen OS to run on Android so that we can do all of our, downloads, file management, video editing and sharing! (That is a big one, sick of having to Don the headset then take it off then out it on and off and on, just to upload a little video to Facebook)
Yeah but you don't have to sign in with your actual Google account. You can just create a throwaway. It's not like a iTunes account where you have to have a credit card linked.

i think it would be awesome if the oculus menu was a virtual phone/tablet you can hold in a hand to do everything while in a game. and then you can drop it or throw it away to unpause

I have heard you can listen to Spotify songs in the background while you play games. However, the only way to get it to work is to have a premium account. As for why discord isn't working in VR games I'm not entirely sure. It could have something to do with the game overriding the microphone and speaker priorities. If you wanted to get that working I suspect you'll need a third-party program designed specifically to act as the default mic and speakers in order to fool the games. This program would then need to send inputs from the mic split it between the game and discord. Not sure if that's the best solution but that's just what I could theorize for now.
I still want to run two Quest VR headsets on one computer. Viveport + Steam, think! We just need to get TWO instances of SteamVR to run at the same time...
You have to pay NVIDIA for licenses if you want to have virtual GPUs. You want to divide your GPU's resources between 2 VMs? Youll have to buy 2 licenses. It can be done if you wanna pay.
with that logic u could run a full android system inside a quest that is also running quemu windows and inside of that runing some windows arcade emulator

Vmos is a virtual Machine for Android not an emulator I've had it on my tablet for years cuz it gives u a completely separate version of Android that you can root and run apps on without hurting your main operating system, I would never thought about putting it on the quest tho what a good idea
Since this is a year old, has anyone had any luck running old google cardboard APK android games on the quest 2? It had some gems & I would love to play again on my quest if possible.
