In all fairness, i have seen Matt give more then the seller has asked! Matt is a super fair man, hes bot trying to get over on anyone! He's definitely a fair man!
Yo Part Time, *PLEASE READ: The craziest thing happened this weekend!!! I'm up in Humboldt, and I went to a sale on Saturday and said "would you happen to have any video games?" A guy visiting from Livermore responded: you sound like my good friend. He's on RU-vid. He goes by Part Time Picker have you heard if him?" I said " I said "I watch all his videos!" We talked for a bit. Super nice guy. I forgot his name though. P.S. I asked him what your traditional job was and he wouldn't spill the beans haha! Now that's a good friend!
@@PartTimePickers I wish I remembered the names. It was a middle age/slightly older couple from Livermore that came up to Humboldt for a visit...that's all I got...
The worst thing about meeting fans is that they blow your cover. It's one thing to be a RU-vidr recording vlogs on daily life, it's another thing to be a resaler. Some people may reduce their prices for you, but others may up their prices since you aim to make a profit off them. Best advice I can give to a fan is to wait until they purchase and/or leave the sale, and catch them on the sidewalk on their way out!
Yeah it’s tricky sometimes. Usually people are pretty considerate, but it wouldn’t bother me either way. I’m always running the risk of them spotting the obvious camera on my chest haha
That was an awesome haul, indeed! Your nephews are learning from the best. The way they are going they will be reselling soon unless they are now. Good to see your dad with his fine as well.
I’ve done it both ways at yard sales and flea markets. Honestly, I find that I make more sales without stickers. It makes people come to you and it initiates conversation / possible negotiation. If I got something for cheap or free especially, I’d rather make $3 than nothing at all. Whereas a flat price comes off as “it is what it is” and some people aren’t comfortable haggling.
I really felt sorry for the two young boys for selling all that for $7.00…they didn’t know what they were doing. I don’t think I could have just given them $7.00 I would have given them more
Very first garage sale you went to you man you did real good !! I couldn't believe what you paid. Now that was a homerun. You done very well !! Another great video. 😊😊😎
10:34 Ever seen “The Californians” skit on SNL? Vocalizing your planned route for getting somewhere as if it is relevant conversation is actually I thing. I’m shook.
Yeah, thinking the same thing and hollering "Grab it!" After the tripod he hovered his hand directly over the horse and then grabbed something to the left. 5 minutes later he was on the other side of the table and reached towards the Breyer horse but picked up something else that was next to it. I swear, he touched everything within 6 inches of that horse without picking up the horse itself. Too bad, I get a minimum of $40-45 on those here in Texas. But, it's impossible to know everything.
Your popularity is very widespread. I live in the North West Territories. I was in a local thrift store with my wife and I was playfully whistling your jingle and the guy beside me said, "right on, part time pickers".
Holy moly!!!! Now that’s wat I’m talking about!!! Hell yeah!!!! I love the Disney mugs!! Do you ever buy from other sellers online? I’m going to message you on Instagram…I enjoy your deals on all your videos 😎
Matt- Have you ever picked a hoarders house? Seriously, like as bad as you see it on TV. However, new in boxes, packages. Amazon orders, Hush puppies. The place is a mess and there is two homes. I can give you more details but we are located in Sonoma. Reach out to me if Interested.
Omg are you guys valley locals? Lol love your channel and it’s so funny to hear your phone call talking about Tracy and Modesto cause I live in Tracy and I’m so familiar with the area esp Great Wolf Lodge 😂 great finds and awesome vid as always
I need y’all to come to my area. We have over 5 huge boxes of baseball cards in our garage. My stepson took what he wanted and the rest are just sitting there. We don’t know any trustworthy person to get them priced so we’re looking to just sell to someone else.
Was curious because I am trying to rebuild my childhood stamp collection that was cruely sold by an exwife. Thought maybe yardsales may offer a cheap way of getting started again.
Wow! what a come up! I Love and hate watching these videos, I get the itch and can't wait to go picking, especially after Last weekend. I went to 8 garage sales spent $85 and hopefully I'll make $200-250..disappointing.
I always wonder: why don't you bring reusable shopping bags with you? It seems like you're often struggling with carrying lots of stuff or hoping the sellers have disposables. Seems it would make your life a lot easier (and be good for the planet!)
"I'm just gonna make a pile because I feel like you're just trying to get rid of stuff". Odd way of saying that's too cheap to pass up hell yeah I'll take advantage.
Big Fan. I used to go after old stuff mostly until I started watching your videos. How do you make sure someone doesn’t buy something off your pile while you continue to shop? If the sale was large I would take my blue painters tape out off my pocket that had sold written on in and stick it on my items! 😝
I'm all for getting a good deal but $7 for all that stuff from those guys???? That's ridiculous... I, personally, would've offered them $20... I love watching your videos and seeing all the deals you get but I was a bit disappointed in that transaction...
9:57 SEVEN DOLLARS? people really undersell their stuff, I get its a garage sale but that keyboard alone couldve bumped the price up to 30 easily and even that wouldve been a good deal
