This Is My Story (PTSD & Homeless)
Thank you all for your support over the years and for being a part of my story. Please keep in mind I'm making this video to bring awareness to specific issues like homelessness and mental illness. I'm also making this video as a way to be real with everyone and let you into my life to see who I am and where I came from. Everyone likes to show only the best on social media, and that's just not something I agree with.
I also want people to understand that I'm not complaining or saying woe is me. People go through much harder things every day. We all have a story and we all have struggles/hardships that we face every day. I'm hoping that by showing you my story you'll be inspired to hopefully share yours.
No matter what happens in life things can be better. You aren't alone!

Life can be so hard for some and so easy for others, and even the people with the easy lives think life is hard. It really is amazing and inspirational to see the person you've become!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how you did it, but I do know you're really amazing for doing it. What a story!! I'm so proud of you dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm left speechless.😢 You persevered. While watching this, I did everything not to cry. What an amazing story of strength, determination to eventually get yourself out of a bad situation. From watching you in your videos, live streams, and Facebook chat groups, I had no idea what you went through. I see in those FB chat groups that when someone is putting someone down about their guitar playing or lack of knowledge, you're the first one that takes up for them. After seeing this, I think to myself, what a stand-up guy. I wish you nothing but success because you most definitely deserve it.❤

Thanks for sharing Lester! I also suffer from anxiety,depression and PTSD and it is very difficult! GOD has definitely blessed you with a gift of music!! I find that playing guitar is definitely therapeutic.. You are such a great guy with a fantastic attitude brother!! GOD definitely has a plan for you! Keep playing and don’t change who you are!!

God bless you, bro. I'm going through it now, have been for almost 8 months, with My dog, living in My car. Besides Jesus, music is the only constant in My life. I sold My Gibson RD the day we lost our house, then literally lost My acoustic in August. Now I have a literal child's guitar that I get to fool with until things change. No drugs, no diagnosis of mental health issues. Just bad situations and happenstance. Thanks for your story and inspiration. 🤘🏻

@@LesterMitchell I truly appreciate you and your determination. No need to feel sorry for Me, God has us in His hand. We've not gone a day without any need. Scripture tells us that if we have food and covering (clothing, shelter) then we are to be content with that. I am. I trust my Lord completely for every need, and He never fails. He gave me the gift of music (I got My first guitar at 16 and figured out a Skynyrd song in a few hours) and I want to use it for His glory. Thanks for having me. 🤘🏻

Bro , this was hard hitting ! I took was homeless from 2003-2005 except unlike you , I was addicted to crack cocaine. Many nights I lived under a bridge in Dallas, TX. Finally in October 26th 2005 I gave my life to Jesus and stopped the drugs. Recovery was a long battle but I made it. Today I own my own trucking company with my own truck.

I really love hearing your story here. You are truly an amazing person and have overcome so much hardship in your life growing up. Your talent is so unique and your songs as well. LOL.... Listening to you songs... I would say you were born with a guitar in your hand. You are truly a master at playing the guitar. It's has been a pleasure to come to know you as our son-in-law. I’m sorry for all u went thru you really strong 💪 and I’m sorry for ur loss of ur mom 🫶 ur talented in playing the guitar and I encourage u to keep playing it for the Lord. Satan tried to kill, steal, destroy ur life but God’s not done with u yet. God tugging at ur heart (he won’t override ur free will tho) God has plans for you & u can use ur gift to bring heaven to earth. God can heal u if u let Him. He healed me from severe depression miraculously when I prayed to Him. Haven’t been depressed since. Some attacks are spiritual (devil). If u want to go to heaven we have to repent of our sins and make Jesus our Lord & Savior. We are saved by faith. God wants our heart. He a good Father who can guide u & protect u. Jesus is the answer. I pray u have an encounter with Him & God bless u 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

@@Learnguitartoday For the right eye no. I guess the impact from when I got jumped not long before caused it to detach. That next morning I woke up blind in that eye. Definitely freaked me out. Luckily the left eye was fixable but I still have certain things that won't go. Certain visuals and floaters etc.
