Ohhhh guys, this has made me homesick! I'm from Warkworth/Matakana but living in London and everything about this vlog made me go 'aw'. Omaha is my favourite beach to walk and i always stop at the little stall that sells mandarins lmao. My Dad built the Brick Bay glasshouse, my partner built the outdoor bar there and also asked me to be his girlfriend there 5 years ago. Making me nostalgic about my home. Love it and hope you enjoyed the area!
If it weren't so isolated and so expensive - for real estate especially - I would move to New Zealand tomorrow. Such a beautiful country. And such nice people. And the accents give me a linguistic hardon.
I'm from New Zealand but I'm living in the US. And I'm just like you, I went adventuring in another country before travelling my own, lol. I miss fish n chips so much and the pies and blue V energy drink. Following this journey because it reminds me of home.
The first time my fiancé and I lived on our own together was in NZ back in 2014!! We used to live in Island Bay, Wellington. We miss eating at Bays Takeaways and HELL Pizza! And we had the best view of the water from our tiny studio we rented from a lovely family. We toured both islands and some of our faves were Zealandia, Hobbiton, Rotorua, Waitomo, Christchurch, Napier, Franz Joseph! Aloha from Kauai! 😁🤙🏾🌺✨
I'm so happy to see you'll be showing us more of NZ! Chances are very high that I'll move there this year and I've never been, so I AM STOKED THANK YOU
Glad you guys are finally exploring your home country, a really beautiful place. That tiny home looks great, definitely more spacious on the inside than it looks from outside. The ice cream looked lovely, worth the seven dollars I think. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Never biased! Thanks for showing how insanely beautiful NZ is. Well glad you are doing the NZ leg of your trip. Before I started my SEA trip, I traveled the PH islands as much as I can. Showing you some stalker love from your avid fan in the PH stuck happily in VN 💖💖💖💖💖
I loved this video, and I can’t wait for the rest of your NZ series! It’s not a bias, this is truly one of the most beautiful countries on Earth (I haven’t visited yet, but from pictures and videos I’ve seen...)
@@DanegerAndStacey yes! Look up New Buffalo, St. Joesph, Saugatuck, Holland, Leeland, and Traverse City. Wineries, breweries, distilleries. Fruit farms. Also look up dune buggy rides in Saugatuck and Silver Beach. So much to do!
Welcome back home! It is beautiful. I like cool climate. New Zealand is on my retirement list besides Costa Del Sol Spain, Brisbane, Australia, and Cambodia. The tiny house is very nice. Awesome Video!
Yay! A NZ tour! Really looking forward to this series 😊 When I was a student I was kind of obsessed with NZ bands, but I think most of them were in Dunedin. So that’s just one reason why I would like to visit NZ some day. Until then, I’m living vicariously through you guys!
Okay...I was a *huge* fan of Bailter Space, who were The Gordons before that. Love them! Like many NZ bands, I think they moved to NYC. Who else...The Chills, The Verlaines, Straitjacket Fits, Alastair Galbraith, Tall Dwarfs, The Terminals, pretty much anything on Flying Nun or Xpressway Records. I am yet to see the film about Martin Phillipps - think I’ll have to order that, because it sounds great! You guys are younger than me though, so this may all be before your time...🤣. So, I’m hoping you go to Dunedin when you get to the South Island, just so I can see what it looks like 😊
Have you guys been to Akaroa before? There is this awesome place called the giants house up the hill which you guys would probably love. Akaroa is about 1hr and 30mins from Christchurch 😊
Now this is going to be a special series. Firstly, it is already apparent from this video that NZ is a stunningly beautiful country. Secondly, hearing your assessment of your home land is going to be super interesting. One question - have your extensive travels around the world had the effect of making you look at your homeland through fresh eyes? Even 2 - 3 weeks away from the UK always makes me re-appraise home, so I can only imagine what your level of travel might do!
Love you guys and all your videos. So happy you're doing a New Zealand series because it's at the top of my bucket list. Just curious as to what brand sunglasses you have? I saw them on Flying the Nest and now you both have them and I love them.
I see what you mean about New Zealand & Scotland looking so alike! I could easily feel at home down there, especially with those beautiful, deserted beaches! Just like Scotland! 😁
Yay!! I come from kerikeri, but now live in gisborne!! I use to drive to the Cape all the time, you guys have to check out Takou Bay and Matauri Bay, that's my family land and the beaches are pristine and so beautiful 😁
Awesome.. finally you can show off NZ the kiwi way,the place i call home even though i live in Hong Kong at the moment.. awesome vid.. bring it on team.
Its always the case of hardly ever exploring where you live! I moved to New Zealand from the UK last year (living out at Parau) but its made me realise I've seen so much of NZ now but hardly anything of England.. but its only a plane away :) new subscriber here. ♥️
So true. England is bloody beautiful as well, I don't think a lot of Kiwis actually realise - they think it's just London. But Devon & Cornwall etc were breathtaking.
Maybe you've not here right now (last time it properly rained in Auckland - 5.2mm was mid January) in the Nth of the NI but it's certainly not raining, there is a total fire ban from Waikato to Cape Reinga; however if you've in the SI you may be trapped at Milford Sound in the floods, or on the West Coast between Haast and Franz Joseph...also trapped.
Wow, you're so close to my Snells Beach I'm wishing I'd known so I could have had you visit our Huhu animation studios there. But I'm guessing you've driven on? So fun to see beautiful NZ 😀😃😁🥰
Hi! I wanted to ask you where you find the tiny homes that you stay in? They are so beautiful and unique! We will be coming back to NZ in a couple of years and wanted to stay in some tiny homes, but I don't know where to begin looking. Are they listed on AirBnB, or is there another site in NZ that lists them? We will be traveling around the South Island this time. Thank you!
Yay!! I'm so happy about this new series. New Zealand is one of those places that just fascinates me, I hope to one day be able to visit. But, for now, I will enjoy your videos!! (๑˃́ꇴ˂̀๑)
