I wouldn't say they're going out of their way on this one. They just didn't take the time to round the edges for the wrapped model. They didn't have a board meeting where they specifically decided "Hey, let's give the wrapped bales straight edges to piss people off" or something
I was told two times when I submit the mod, that the mod was not realistic, so on that basis.. I just submit again (and perhaps that pissed them off :D ) Eventually it was released.
Devs added all these fields, tractors, combines, tech, shops, crops, places just to get claimed as "unrealistic" because the bales are 3 pixels off. Wtf bro
Anyways, here's a brownie recipe. Ingredients 10 tablespoons (142 grams) unsalted butter 4 ounces (113 grams) semisweet chocolate, chopped* 1 cup (200 grams) granulated sugar 2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cup (95 grams) all-purpose flour** 1/4 cup (25 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4 teaspoon fine salt 1 cup (170 grams) semisweet chocolate chips Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a metal 8-inch square pan with parchment paper. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate and butter. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each burst, until the mixture is melted and smooth. Add the sugar to the hot butter mixture and whisk vigorously until combined. Allow to cool until just barely warm. Add in eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, and whisk for about 1 minute, or until very well combined. This helps create that shiny crust on top. Use a rubber spatula to stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Pour into prepared pan and smooth out. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick entered in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool in pan 30 minutes before slicing.

Honestly, lifed my whole life next to our local farmer, saw more silage bales than i could count and NEVER noticed that they were "not round enough" in Game
Except to be accepted as a mod you have to show that it is a real life piece of equipment and that it operates exactly as shown unless it is very plainly written unrealistic
If you want a real farming experience go play Professional Farming: Cattle and Crops. That game has ground defirmation, advanced AI and way more detail.
Farming is limited mainly so that as many people as possible can quickly master it because farming is not that simple in reality. This is shown, among other things, by the "precision farming" add-on or the Maize Plus mod
I think the maps are not great i want a small farm with tight roads betwwen fields and a city no we will make you a big map where there is one single field
