👍, when i heard the word “haggis” i knew it was gonna be awful, my dad once fed me haggis and I didn’t know what it was made of💀💀💀(when he told me what it was I threw up)
@@keenari0470the lungs are just fine with a healthy live Stock Its a super Food rich with Iron and many countries love it American live Stock usually sucks thats why the Organs have parasites
I ate cow lung back in New York accidentally. Now I wonder how they got it in. If I got a parasite from it would I know by now? It's been over 10 years
@@breathless_siren Generally cooking things solve any parasite and other mircos problems. The exception of course being *prions*, often found in animal (and human) brains.
@@jennlynnperkins Because a lot of the organs tend to get hit by juices during process and are really hard to decontaminate reliably. So a lot of them banned for safety reasons.
Yeah, I was wondering about the lung law too. I know you can buy freeze dried animal lungs for your pets. They actually love them. Weird. Not that I particularly want to eat animal lung.
In Italy we usually eat these ingredients separately. So the stomach to do “trippa”, the liver and the lungs to do “gnumareddi” or “cazzomarro”. I can guarantee you that they’re delicious haha
For anyone wondering why it was banned to have animal lung it is because compared to other cuts of meat it contains a lot more microorganisms and since the lung has a leather structure it causes the meat to be hard to cook, which led to a lot of people getting sick so to start this both in the UK and America it was banned to consume animal lungs
it was from several highly contagious and deadly diseases which started to spread through undercooked lungs of animals. The law was designed to possibly save millions but isn’t necessarily needed anymore.
But why????!!!! Yall had so much of that sheep you coulda ate instead. On the flip side, we in the African American community apologize for chitterlings and scrapple. 😢
@@MelB868 Well I don't know, maybe he was insane or it's some weird ass delicacy. But yeah, it was pretty disturbing to see. He really ate it like it was no big deal, like it was just some afternoon snack.
And delicious. You won't find a better cut of beef than the heart. A bit tougher than usual, excellent taste, excellent nutrition. Add a bit of worcestershire sauce in a marinade to soften it up and its just the best. Plus, you gain its power after consumption.
Portuguese person here. This maybe gross when poorly explained but its not as cut and dry. If you wish to search the name of the dish and the preparation you may search for "Maranhos" we use the stomach of the animal with meat, but we also stuff it with Cooked rice, Salt, sliced onions and in some parts, some spices. Its usually served with Fries or Chips. Its a delicacy in the interior parts of Portugal and some regions of Spain. Pretty good!
Bruh, it's not that bad, btw the sausages that y'all Europeans love so much were originally made using stomach lining or animal guts too, so y'all should be already used to that.@@Shadow_YT267
Haggis is just sausage, it’s throw away cuts of meat stuffed into intestines with spices so that parts of the animal don’t go to waste. Yes it uses a lot of organ meat which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but to consistently act like it’s any less culinarily appealing than your standard hot dog is frankly ridiculous.
What are u talking about, hot dogs are disgusting. They are equally gross and I think most ppl know that, if they dont then tell them and they will agree. And btw Noone compared it to a hotdog anyway😂
@@tristanmathison9934 I got bad news for you bro, most people eat hotdogs despite knowing they’re gross. That’s the entire point of the comment, I am comparing haggis to hotdogs because they are a common food that people know have less than appealing ingredients but don’t make a big deal out of it. I’m sorry the simple concept of simile is lost on you
@Lacucarachadefuego everything you're saying is on point. This is the most fucked up disgusting looking haggis I've ever seen in my life though, and being born and raised in Scotland I've eaten a shitload of haggis.
@@boshboshbosh1 I mean, I can’t account for this haggis in particular, I’m talking more about haggis in general I suppose. The “royal we” of haggis, if you will

🎅🎅😺 and 🎅🎅🥕🐡: The most iconic sound effects. Usually it means santa is either wrong or right. 🎅🎅🤔: When santa is confused, or not wrong or right, hence the "huh" (again, either that or its just picked randomly) 🎅🎅🦀💵 good ending or money : Usually found in the "would you do this for 1 million dollars?" Sometimes swaps place with 🎅🎅🥕🐡. Often is the "good ending" 🎅🎅: a rarer version of 🎅🎅😺 and 🎅🎅🥕🐡that usually is followed by a sound from the video itself (no longer used) 🎅🎅😫: usually used for something sus, but not too serious. In my culture we make a food similar by using the sheep stomach, filling it with rice that’s been mixed in herbs and we add soft meat with it, we then roll it in a ball shape and sew it shut, this is only cooked on very special occasions (once or twice a year) and we usually make about a 100 of these and slow cook it for a few hours, we don’t eat the stomach lining we just open it up and eat the rice inside and let me tell you it’s one of the best rice you can taste. Smell 2/10. Taste 10/10
@@Mothobius as I said we do not eat the stomach simply the contents inside, it’s like a dumpling but less appealing looking, some people do eat it and I used to when I was a kid it’s actually very tasty but extremely chewy
@@Mothobius not really since I I grew up with it and have seen it all my life, I guess it’s just normal to me and my culture but would be strange to yours
We eat that in Tunisian but we add rise and vegetables in the staffing and we eat it in top of couscous If you want to search it write Tunisian couscous with 3ousbane😅
This is the popular China food . Chinese People usually sold this outside , in the markets or some Walking Street . They dipped it into a red sauce include oils , chili satay and some peppers
No it's not it's Scottish. The Chinese barely eat haggis as that's what it is a haggis pop. It's basically mini haggis on a stick. Haggis isn't Chinese. They may well eat plenty things similar but it's not haggis.
