Shout out to Best Jeanist though. The way he noticed Bakugo crying and immediately went from "Let me patch you up we still need your firepower to win this" to "Let me see your arm, you've done enough we'll handle the rest somehow" is a great character moment that really put him up a few spots in the ranking for me.
@@EskChan19 I strongly agree. Especially since the audience, too, is so shocked to see it. I respect and admire him a lot; Bakugou was ultimately just a kid.
This is another reason I hate AFO. If Shigaraki was in full control of himself, he would've probably just killed Bakugo quickly and let that be the end of it, because he's not emotionally invested in tormenting Deku or anyone he cares about. But AFO is 100% the kind of person who would brutalize Bakugo just to make it look ugly for when Deku arrives.
I have to disagree there, Shigaraki is still a psycho who wiped out cities without a second thought lol, he may not be passionate about it but he would have still killed him if he fought against him.@@thecarismatik
I just want to give you a BIG hug right now!! 😢😢😢 I’ve been watching anime for a long time (age 51, here). Of all the anime I’ve watched, My Hero Academia has risen to be one of handful of favorites, if not my TOP favorite. It’s made me cheer and cry as much as Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist, Sailor Moon, Magic Knight Rayearth, Gunbuster, and several others. But MHA is special! Hold onto this: Kohei Horikoshi has said that MHA is ultimately a story about “Hope.” It’s supposed to be a hopeful series, especially when all seems lost. (I won’t say much more than that, because I read the manga.) When I read this chapter, I was DISTRAUGHT! And then ragefull! Because Shigaraki NEEDS to be beat to shreds for this! (And all the other atrocities, but this especially!) Hopefully you’re resting well, and watching something happier to help soothe the shock of this episode.
I know its been two weeks since I posted this video, but this message made me cry all over again. TY so so much for this. HOPE. Its needed more than ever now. I did get some much needed rest. TY again so much for this. Sending a big hug your way!!
I personally thought it was in reference to Bakugo not liking the rain, like his mom said. He liked blue skies, but because of what happened in this episode.. no more blue skies, just rain.
Amazing ep from start to finish. I'm happy they did it justice, even though it hurts. "goldfish poop" is a literal translation from the Japanese, but it's actually a metaphor for “an unremarkable person who is just being pulled around by another (more remarkable) person". The official Eng release of the manga did a good job, I think, by translating it as “Izuku Midoriya’s hanger-on-a minnow in One For All’s wake.” One more heartbreaking thing about the manga panel of that last scene, you could also see the bruises from Shigaraki's fingers on his neck. Horikoshi was out for blood when he drew it 😢
Ohhhh TY for the goldfish poop metaphor! That actually helps a lot. Someone sent me that panel of Bakugo and it broke my heart. All that detail that was put into it. It hurts to look it, but you can see the torture that AFO put him through through Shigaraki.
His heart did not explode. I’m a manga reader, too. Shigaraki punched a hole in Bakugo’s chest and he was blasted back by the impact. In no way did Bakugo’s heart explode in that instant.
Lemillion's face is a joke though but not in the mean sense but the obvious. he looks like if a Pacman character was a human. He looks great and I love the guy though. Shigaraki's face looks fooked up but he still looks cool. I think Horikoshi sensei made fun of that ironic situation intentionally haha.
