If you watch closely at the stranger’s performance you can see that it’s like a modified version of Mizong Quan. (Lost track boxing) it’s similar to Jet Li’s performance in Fist of Legend when he finishes learning from the masters son. It contains elements of Xing Yi, Taichi, Bagua, Long Fist, Pigua, and Baji.
This is my favorite scene in the movie. It was really cool to see former Hebei Wushu Team members Xu Xiangdong (who plays the Baguazhang master) and Li Yanlong (who plays the "challenger" and only cameos but steals the show for me), as well as the late former Zhejiang Wushu Team member and actor Ji Chunhua. I recognize modern Wushu Fanziquan and Bajiquan in Li Yanlong's performance at 5:02.
I studied martial arts under great masters and often wondered if there were moments when a prospective student gave off such an evil vibe that the master refused a demo because he could not bear the idea of his skills being used for evil.
Your opinion is understandable, but be aware that the reason why the master refusing to show his skill was because of his duty at that time - the head of that bodyguard firm.
Hello I am from Turkey.I love chinese traditional fighting art since I was child.I think it seens a good film.I watched "Yipman" film series before. They were legend film series for me.I heard "Wing Chun" technic first time over there.I will watch this film. Are there any more film like this film you prefer?
There is a reason why when it come to Chinese martial art nowadays, regardless in Asia or Hollywood, the instructor are just the few names. They are indeed genuine disciples of true Chinese martial art. To question moves they choreographed isn’t necessary.
Just goes to show, it's always the eager cocky lower ranked students who likes to show off who get their instructors involved into all sorts of trouble in the end. Which is why discipline was the first thing emohasized and taught to beginners in the traditional arts, not techniques or sparring right away.
Discipline is the guardian's job. If the children have no discipline they don't get taught in the first place. Respect is demanded. Control is the first thing taught. Don't hurt yourself. Don't hurt others. It's the first thing taught because it takes a long time to master and everything else depends on it. Often there's overlap because temples and schools make good orphanages for kung fu stories.
When I asked the Almighty for peace, The Almighty showed me Earthians living among religious menace. When I asked the Almighty for strength, The Almighty gave me problems to face. When I asked the Almighty for happiness, The Almighty showed me the sufferings of poor, When I asked the Almighty to which religion to follow, The Almighty showed me the madness of religious slaves. When I asked the Almighty for wealth, The Almighty showed me corruptive service slaves. When I asked the Almighty for favour and help, The Almighty showed me corruptive humans. When I asked the Almighty to save the people from distress, The Almighty blessed Earthians to live with love and affection, Finally the Almighty gave me nothing or any thing, But the Almighty showed me the right path to live without religious menace.
Good to see bagua represented, I don't encounter it in enough movies as I'd like, I always enjoy seeing it. Some of the hardest kung fu I ever practised (closely followed by dragon style) Can you help me find somewhere to watch the film? All I'm getting searching for the Opera House is concerts at various opera houses and not the movie. Maybe the Chinese title will help me find it?
His moves are so fluid and quick. I've never seen that in a long time. His fighting style remind me of Bruce Lee, every move is a counter attack. Does anyone know what's this title of this movie?
The entire move is in my channel too. Please check my channel: High side at Wang Gao. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HTlxIEYF7JY.htmlsi=Qlvpv2gkK3AzG-rm
Cool movie! These two older guys never fight, though. In fact, you never see the crazy one again. Since this movie is about feelings...I feel that was pretty lame. I'm sure there was an alternate plot where these two's rivalry was another issue in the story.
