In Sham Shui Po in Hong Kong, I saw a fake that looked identical to the real thing and had a box that looked identical to the real thing too for $300 (HK). I then went to Mong Kok (which is the BEST place in the world to buy genuine authentic toys and figures, seriously it's better than Akihabara in Tokyo) and bought the real thing. The real thing had no horns and swords as they only apparently came with the limited edition pre-order. Kind of wish I'd have bought the fake, for the $900 (HK) I paid for the real thing, I'd thought a sword and the horns would be included.
Nope! It's not a "factory defect 1000toys hellboy". There are waaaay too many differences. 1) the plastic used in the KO is shiny. The original is more of a matte red finish. 2) the original has double hinged joints in the elbows and knees. The KO are all ball joints. This is the reason why the KO is noticeably shorter than the original. 3) the patch on the trenchcoat for the KO is like ironed on. The original is an actual patch. 4) there are more paint bleeds on the KO. 5) There is an ab crunch joint inside the stomach of the original. The KO only has a balljoint on the waist. 6) and the obvious difference, the KO has the long horns and excalibur sword included in the limited edition 1000toys Hellboy. (This is the major reason why some people buy the bootleg even if they already own the original)
The main differences in the bootleg and the legitimate product are: - Lower quality stitching of the coat on the KO - KO has single jointed knees and single jointed elbow on the left arm while the legitimate figure has double joints for both knees and elbows - KO torso has only one ball joint at the base of the waist while the legitimate figure has a ball-joint at the base of the waist as well as a hinge in the middle of the rubber torso to allow for a highly functional ab crunch. Awesome vid of a pretty solid bootleg!
Since no ones posting the difference, I will because I have both. K.O Cons: Has revoltech joints (this isn’t a con, but I just wanted to point this out), the knockoff’s belt and shins are much softer the authentic one, the joints are loose (though this varies because mines are surprisingly okay), the paint job is either sloppy or caked on which causes some cracks in the paint in certain areas of the figure, the coat’s stitching is done hastily and different from the real one. Lastly, the ab crunch has way less range than real one. K.O Pros: Funny enough if you can bypass these flaws then you can buy this figure for half it’s counterpart’s authentic’s price and receive WAY more accessories for your buck. Also it’s accessories are pretty much a perfect match from the authentic version, plus you get flaming effects that you can clip on to the figure itself for more styles of pose ability
I think 1000toys decided to not do a lot of detailed painting on the authentic figure to give a more comic book look so the bootleg looks so good because they only had to remold everything and only do limited painting
If this is a bootleg figure then it really looks awesome..but what if..you got an awesome deal for the legit figure and you had no idea! if only..anyways great video man!

This is by far the best bootleg i've seen 2date, oh and also it's a frowning face he don't really grin a lot in the comics but he does a whole lot of frowning haha
a lot of early run knock offs are actually just unauthorized copies. this looks to be the case for this one. i've got a few factory defect Mezcos that way, that barely had any defects.
I have both the original and the KO. Bought it for the long horns and sword which came with The dark horse exclusive. It’s a decent KO but there are some differences. First off he’s a little smaller maybe 1/4” not much seems like it’s the lower legs that are slightly smaller and everything else is the same. Second he does not have the ab crunch the original does. Third the coat is very similar but different material, not as well tailored. Cuffs around elbows is missing and collar material is thicker. Lastly the joint over all aren’t as tight. I thought I’d be able to swap heads but the neck cup joints don’t work with the 1000 Toys. 1000 Toys snaps on tight were KO is loose and doesn’t stay on the 1000 Toys version. Over all for the money I spent I’m happy got the horns and sword exclusive and a second figure so I can display sort and long horn versions together. That said when holding the two the 1000 Toys is clearly better quality but from a distance you don’t notice without a side by side close inspection.
You didn't receive the box coz some package carrier requires the item to be removed from the original box and packed by their own box to be shipped to you. That bootleg is amazing the only difference from the legit one is its a bit shorter due to have it has diff small knee joint single the legit one is double joint, the legit one got a ab joint and a complete downward head joint... rather than that the coat is easy fix just remove the excess threads and put it on display nobody will know its fake... thank you for an awesome review more power...
There are several differences between the bootleg and the real Hellboy the major difference is that the real Hellboy has waist torso neck and head articulation, the boot leg just has neck and waist articulation also the real hell boy has butterfly shoulders
I got K.O Hellboy n gotta say, was very happy with it, excellent quality 4 a K.O, -PS. I think dat alternative head looks like a grinding teeth expression 🤣😂🤣😂

Ever thought about getting the NECA batman 1989 7 inch version that is a bootleg on eBay. I got three at separate times and all there legs broke off. I managed to fix them all using superglue and small metal wires but quality control was pathetic. My best 89 batman of the 3 is my definitive batman and looks pretty good for a bootleg unlike one of them which has a warped face. I'm just saying since you like to review bootlegs that the NECA 1989 batman would be a fun review because I had a lot of fun with mine.
Its a good bootleg but its way, waaay far behind the authentic one. I hoped that you did your research better man. You can find comparisons online already. You cant just say its a factory defect. It will mislead people. Btw, I love your bootleg reviews!
