There's some dev commentary where they talk about how their least favourite combo in sts is dead branch/corruption because well... it really does make you turn your brain off. However I personally think that Ironclad was meant to be played full unga bunga, and love that combo for that reason.
Is there any extra benefit for beating the heart on A19? Since you can’t skip past A20 do you just win? I think it’d be cool if you got to add some kinda buff to yourself instead of just winning the challenge or getting nothing, like you could pick any relic one relic to start with or something.
Funnily enough I feel like he just recently addressed this in one of the latest prismatic videos. He said even if he beats the heart on A19 he'd still do A20 since that is the actual finish line. I like the idea of an extra relic though or some kind of boon if he beats the heart on A19, maybe you could suggest this in one of his streams.
Maybe I missed it from the stream but why not do a custom run and start with Diverse rather than Prismatic Shard? Would allow all the cards to be any color, not just card rewards.
There's less strategy and diversity between characters, since everything is varied instead of just the card rewards. It's not a bad idea, it's just not what Frost wanted to do here.
