Man do I miss A-Mart, his absolute genuine love for Bass fishing is matched by few. From the odd socks to that laugh when he was on'em. Pretty good at the head game also. Thanks for the drop shot tips. Ever try a bullet weigh and with two rubber line stoppers on each side for the weight? I can change the depth quickly and the bullet weight taper helps it come thru weeds/cover. I will drop a glass bead above the weight also... That little click can really help.

I'm a Bass Fisherman but a dropshot is a good technique for Bass, Brim, Catfish, trout, etc.. It keeps the bait up off the bottom w live bait or dead bait..

Thanks MDJ! It funny you mentioned how the bass set up in shallow water before the spawn . I have been catching fish the last month in a local lake in nc. These fish have been less than a 1 ft of water. They are so tight to the bank you nearly are pulling the bait up on the bank and they smash it. I was thinking they up,there feeding before spawning. I never thought about them warming up their eggs before spawning. I caught a 7.5 pounder on a mayor swim bait this afternoon, the fish literally about swam on the bank before he got the bait. Sorry to,be long winded,see y’all at Chowan in June!

I’ve been throwing a drop shot with a really short leader. Use to use a shakey head , but I don’t get as many bites anymore. That short leader drop shot works really good though.

Drop shot catches year round. I fish for largemouth so I go Texas rig and it comes through everything. Sleeper bait is the zman hula stickz. Great video

Once I decided I really needed to add some spinning rods and reels to my arsenal I bought the best Falcon and Lews had because I already don't like using them to start with so they had to be great or I'd really never want to use them at all... Now I have multiple drop shots and a couple other finesse presentations tied on at all times because unfortunately they really are that good. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

Been trying get better with the drop shot. But boy let me say this. It ain’t an ohio, hearty Midwest kind of technique. That tonic to dirty water that’s found out this way, makes it tough to reach for when it’s tough. She’s some light on my thoughts please
