Love this video as well as the music, but I'm a house music type of guy. Wonderful work. Cant wait to get my hands on the Mavik. My wife would love a place like this.
Very nice job! I'm looking forward to doing a lot of windsurfing and skydiving all over Europe July 30-September 04.. Hoping the Mavic Pro 2 will be released soon, as I need to place an order before the Euro trip. Really excited & looking forward to all the awesome footage I'll be able to play with. :) Cheers! 🍻
Great video! Very well done. What an amazing place. It is definitely on our bucket list! I just switched from the Phantom 4 to the mavic. Looks like it will do just fine 😁👍
Of all the islands, you went exactly to the one I went! there is a wild brown bird there, that lands on your shoulders if you don't make rapid movements. This place is called Angsana. There is an Is;and on front of it, with a local village. I wanted to go visit, but slept too much, missed my boat.
Wow - Excellent video!! Will definitely use it as an example of the type of quality video's I hope to make some day. I do have a question: When you travel and plan on making a video, do you or your travel partner ever find it cumbersome taking the time to get the shots you're looking for? How do you plan your day around the shots you're looking to get? Also, the kayak overhead drone shot, where did you land the quad after that? Hand? Thanks - great work!
What camera did you use when stepping in front of the camera around 1:27? Also, did you color grade that footage? Using Final Cut Pro X myself. Love the video!
Thats some footage! What settings did you use for the Mavic Pro please and what MD Filters did you use? Really love this style, eager to try it out as soon as you will respond to this post :D
very nice clip by mavic pro (y) I have Mavic pro. Can you guide me how to install video to be able to shoot the movie as beautiful as yours? tks you so much
What are your camera settings for this vid? I've seen other mavic vids (including my own) whose colors don't pop like this. The image quality in this is what I hope to achieve when I take mine tropical.
This was absolutely beautiful! What are your Mavic settings (contrast/sharpness etc)? Also, did you shoot 1080p or 4K and what frame rate? Would really appreciate your help!!
Very nice video & a beautiful place to shoot. Just wondering what color profile you were using on the Mavic? I read you said you did no color grading. Thanks in advance.
Great video Kove!!! I will receive my mavic in a few days and will be going to Kuredu Island. I was wondering if you can give me some advice. Should I film in D-Log and then colour grade my footage or just film normal? Also any tips on slow motion using the Mavic. Did you use 1080p 96fps to do slow motion? Thank you
I used D-Cinelike for the footage, D-Log was too flat. I did not color grade the footage, just worked on the exposure. For the slow-mo i used my iPhone 6s. Try to film within the golden hours, this ist the best light for your shots ;-) Greets Kove
Thank you for your response :) I will be doing the same. I have seen that you have been to Florida and Dubai also!! I went to Florida years ago and just got back from Dubai over 2 months ago. You are well travelled ;)
kove oh I thought it may have been the case! Did you use the iPhone for the slow mo? I ask because I've been wondering how to get slow mo the mavic footage without stepping.
My question is, of course, a joke ! How did you use the mavic underwater ? You didn't of course. So you should state all of the gadgets you used to do this movie. Perhaps you should also include the software to edit it.
I used a Canon EOS 70D with a 50mm Lens, a 18-135mm Kit-Lens, a 10mm Sigma Fisheye (first shot where i open the door), an iPhone 6s (Timelapse and Slow-Motion), and a GoPro Hero 4 Silver (for the water shots). Is there a specific shot you want to know which camera i used?
Thank you! I did not use any ND/PL Filter, but i tried to Film within the "golden hours" (sunrise and sunset). Im having an eye on the PolarPro Cinema Series for the Mavic ;-).
You've certainly shown that you don't really need ND filters but then again, mid day...?? finally got my Mavic back today and looking forward to some unique shots&video. Curious what you use to edit your video's? Been doing video editing for a long time? Great stuff.
Well i have to say the lightning conditions on the Maldives are amazing ;-). The shots on 0:22 and 0:27 were filmed Mid day, wished i had some PL Filters, especially for the reflection of the water, but its still ok. Im editing on Final Cut Pro X for a couple of years now, but just as hobby.
