Wonderfull place,i used to give bus outings in the 80's and 90' once a year out there, very poor people but cleanliness and warmness in abundance amongst the people fishing village community and whenever we pull up with our one or two busses to spend the day on the beach the fisherman will go into the sea coming back with crayfish, however its seems much upgraded to the benifit of the rich tourists and wonder if there is still any coloured communities left on that beautiful beachfront dorpie.
Absolutely. There is a warmth in this place which is amazing. The community is still there, but it seems they’ve been relocated to make way for the guest houses and hotels on the beach front. Thanks for watching 🙏
The koekemakranka (Gethyllis afra or G.spiralis or G. namaquensis plus a few other ) is a South African indigenous plant, nou almost extinct, but still occuring in the dry semi-desert areas of the Cape interior such as the Richtersveld and in Namaqualand.
I thought the prices were reasonable though. But I guess it’s a tourist destination, so some prices are inflated. But overall, great experience. Will look for the bordello next time 😜 thanks for watching 🙏
