I think hair should be cut how you usually wear it. If you wear your curls cut it with the curls. If you straighten it often cut it while it’s straight.
@BaziltheBeans, hello it's best to cut straight so that way you can see all the areas that may need tweaking also you can see your guide much better. Usually if someone doesn't know what they are doing and they cut curly hair more than likely their hair is going to come out way shorter than they wanted it. Black hair is best to cut straight and dry, if it is curly hair you can cut it damp but don't put too much tension while cutting it. The water will draw it up some as well so just Becareful and safe so you want be sorry.
I have curly hair and I wear it that way the most so I do curly cuts… the thing is you have to know where the dead hair begins and stops otherwise you’ll cut too much or not enough. I cut my own end though so it’s easy for me to know. In the very rare occasions that I straighten it (for length checks maybe once a year) I very rarely had the issue of seeing more that I should cut. I think it’s mainly due to no real tension on my hair, keeping it moisturized and slight manipulation daily. Plus, I do go weeks with protective styles so that helps with less breakage as well.
It depends on the desired cut and hair texture if you're layering straight and if your getting rid of dead ends straight if the hair is naturally curly and the desired look is curly then cut it curly if someone doesn't straighten their hair and they always wearing it naturally then cut it curly ❤
After having it done both ways, I would have to say that straight is the only way to precisely cut our natural hair. When mine was cut curly, it was cut much too much!!
It should be cut in its natural state. Its just to cut curly hair you have to know what tou are doing and dont put twnsion on it as you cut it (curly hair) because you will end up cutting too much off ..
Definitely straight and pressed out and do not cut with a side part or middle part make sure you cut the whole head never cut your hair on blow drying out bushes hair straighten it out first that way you can get it even n to see all the dead ends clearly.
Her hair was not spilt. It was uneven. But i didn't see not one spilt end. All are strands of hair are growing straight. Spilt is your strands is growing in different directions.
