Everyone is talking about the girl on the bucking horse but no one is mentioning the other girl. She did the smart thing and stopped while the other horse was freaking out
@@Deejaay83urj38 I don’t think this was pigrooting. You can’t see the initial on set of the fit so we won’t know for sure. But the fact she had the horse’s head turned at the beginning wouldn’t suggest she was asking for a canter.
A few years ago I didn't wear a helmet when I rode. I thought it was much cooler riding on the beach without a helmet. Until one day I fell off my mare because she got scared and galloped across a road dodging a car. Fortunately it was my hip my thigh and my left elbow that took the shock and not my head, I didn't break anything but my arm was bleeding, I sat down on the side of the road and I saw my mare go full gallop in the opposite direction to return to the stable. A kind woman caught her a little further and her husband came to pick me up in the car so that I could take my mare. Everything ended well but it could have been more serious. Even an excellent rider on a very well trained horse can have an accident, it is sometimes better to forget the aesthetic side to choose safety..
I'm glad it wasn't your head It was my head At 10 I've lived a fraction life all these decades. Excruciating head pain, banging my head against a wall. Vision effected. My body thrown with such forceful vomiting. Constantly falling asleep. Having a few hours conscious, then . . Not Your lucky. Aquired Head injury. Can't be fixed
When you got it, you got it, and there's no pretending you don't, and no halfway. Your horses are beyond gorgeous, beyond powerful, and it is beautiful to see it.
Looking at this more carefully. Has he ever been ridden with the partial blanket with under-tail strap before? He may be trying to get rid of that sensation ?
My opinion about the helmet: I personally always wear a helmet. BUT, she knows the risks. So, leave her to decide for herself. Sure, if she falls she may regret it, but we can’t dictate what she does. Most people do not wear helmets, and though it’s dangerous, it’s their own decision.
No. Its never her to decide, if she want to wear a helmet or not. What about the persons who has to Pic her up, when her head is badly damaged- or maybe she is dead? Those persons will forever be traumaticzed.
thank you, people don't realize that it's a preference and they can't dictate what others do. People know that helmets are safer but it's there choice, it's really annoying how she is getting hated on for a choice that is hers to make
Why are helmets for equestrians considered a preference? We stopped that for any other mode of transportation by introducing fines. Sure driving acar without your safety belt is more comfortable but it's bit a preference
It’s a frosty morning, he’s with a friend, his spirit is high ~ your balance is pretty good! Hey, where’s your riding helmet? At your age I took a dive during a canter~buck, flew over my boy’s shoulder, landed straight on top of my head on a macadam road. Without a helmet. Knocked me out cold. I awoke to my boy huffing breaths up my nose. It’s just not worth it to break a neck or face later Alzheimer’s from head injury at a young age. Stick around to love your horses, wear a helmet!
When people say jumpers and barrel racing horses are high strung. All jokes aside this is why people say a horse can never be “bomb proof” there wolf animals at the end of the day. There flight or flight animals at the end of the day. And to a point unpredictable in some situations. Which is why u never ride other people’s horses which out having someone there or knowing the horse. Because if probably a Grand Prix trained horse can act like this being so highly trained and disciplined then someone’s everyday horse can be just as bad or worse not saying the horse is bad just saying more reactive depending on the weather and environment.
Please leave her alone!! It’s her decision if she doesn’t want to wear a helmet or not! She has been riding over 20 + years!! She knows how to handle these kind of stuff!!
My horse does this all the time and once I rode her bare back in the field without my helmet because I left it at my friends house when I went to ride there and I fell of and my head hit a sharp rock and I think I had a cuncushion and my head bled so much
I see people mentioning helmets and I'm 29...i never even knew wearing helmets was a thing until i was an adult because growing up no one where I'm from did. I was 5 years old on a horse with just a shirt, jeans and boots
Helmets always ♥️. Husband with bad head injury with new helmet in his closet 🙄 That has to be the dumbest ever . Later in life died of complications of blood clot in his brain . You think maybe the two could have been connected ????????????? Still I wonder 🤔??????????????
1. Wear a helmet! 2. If your horse is ever having an issue like this, GET OFF! If he runs, so what? You go get him after. Its better to be alive, then be on a horse that could potentially kill you whether intentionally or not.
@@Delete000 Just getting off isnt JUMPING off the horse and getting off and away from the horse isn't gonna hurt you nearly as much as being thrown and trampled.
There’s only one way to get off a bucking horse. That’s thrown off. And potentially getting a foot stuck in a stirrup on the way down. She did just the right thing, stayed balanced and got her horse quickly under control !
@@Aurora_is_my_pup trb, she is riding a 17+ hand horse jumping 3 feet in the air and moving fast. IMHO, intentional jumping off isn’t a viable option and shouldn’t be. As a last option, getting thrown free is probably safer. Horses rarely trample riders, they move away if they’re not interfered with by grabbed reins. Sit the buck and then get control of your horse. Which is what she did. And all were safe.
Do not get off, if something isnt wrong with the horse and they're being difficult or stubborn, do not get off. You'll end up teaching the horse that they'll get you off by doing this and thus creating a bad and potentially dangerous habit.
Wow - wie kriegt eine Reiterin soviel überschüssige Kraft aus ihrem Macho heraus? Aussitzen und zur Ruhe auffirdern - sommacht es die Reiterin hier in perfekter Weise. Toll gemacht!
I can understand the poor horse getting frustrated & upset. Give the animal a rest! I suppose the rider is wanting the poor animal to do those STUPID unnatural steps or force the horses head back to its' chest, where the poor animal CAN'T breathe properly. I'm on the horses side. Let her/him walk, run naturally.
Looking closer I see the strap under his tail. And that's a lot more of a kick to get rid of it and a buck because he's feeling good. No helmet is just no sense.
Then you were lucky! I've been bucked off of several horses more than 10 x and each time wasn't fun!! But back in my day, I rode western and only people who rode English wore those helmets. I'm very lucky at the time I didn't end up with no head injury. I did have a bad fall from doing barrel racing where the wind was knocked completely out of me and the had to undo my belt and pants to pump my stomach n chest to get air back into me. I wouldn't hesitate to wear a helmet now tho! Safety first!
