that's because sonic is skipped the loading trigger, when he's goes to certain area, everything will becoming invisible except solid objects like spikes, enemies and item boxes, everything will becoming visible as you progress through the zone

Sonic's true speed is the speed of sound,so if we consider the atmosphere on a standard day at sea level static conditions, the speed of sound is about 761 mph
