Hi Martin...loved the video. I've been detailing as an avid amateur for many years. One tip (and noticed this has happened to owners in the comments) is swirls and scratches on their acrylic windows. To avoid this rinse your windows with water before cleaning. You can then spray your cleaner onto the damp window and wipe with a clean microfibre in straight lines to avoid swirls then dry with another clean microfibre again in straight lines.. Once you've cleaned your van get a bottle of Gyeon Wet Coat which is a ceramic coating and costs about a tenner...simply spray on and then rinse off...the rinse water activates the ceramic coating leaving your gleaming van with a protective ceramic coating so bugs , bird poo, dirt , water spots etc. don't stick to the van easily and future cleaning is easier. Another product to try is Gyeon Bathe Plus ceramic shampoo (its not Bathe which isnt ceramic but Bathe + which is). This adds a ceramic coating when you wash your van preferably with the 2 bucket method so any debris/dirt/grit from your van doesn't scratch as you clean as this falls below the grit guard in the bottom of your rinse bucket and leaves the shampoo bucket with clean water everytime you dip the sponge in.
Excellent results there Martin 👍. I use Autoglym Aqua Wax on the car which is sprayed on after washing but before drying. so will give their caravan cleaner a go. Cheers Rob
Looking good, glad you enjoyed using the Caravan & Motorhome Cleaner. you can use it on the inside surfaces too, the idea was to develop a product that can be used on all areas of the vehicle and can be used at home and away on trips. A small detailing brush is a great tool to have to agate the edges of the lockers and doors to draw out dirt form the trap areas. Fast Glass is a great window cleaner too, free from abrasives, there is nothing in there to mark the windows, just make sure you use a soft cloth - worth noting some microfibres can put in marks if you rub too hard. For even more shine, one you've cleaned it, Super Resin Polsh is superb for restoring gloss to duller surfaces, or if you want a quick spray and wipe to boost the shine, Rapid Ceramic Spray is very quick, easy and rewarding too!
Hi, yes I noticed on the instructions that it can be used inside and on upholstery. Very versatile. Will be trying the other products you mentioned. Thanks
I've used that Autoglym cleaner before and yes it's really good. I tended to rinse it off with water though afterwards. Caravan looks nice and clean Martin 👌 Looking forward to the next video 👍
@@TheCaravanNut I also tend to wash it over with Autoglym Shampoo and conditioner..puts a nice film on which keeps the dirt away for a tiny bit longer 👍
Hi Martin. Caravan is looking good for 13 years, mate. If you're using good products like you are, it will make all the difference. Cheers, Paul and Sarah
Great quick vlog that Martin. Even with the limitations of the camera the Auto Glym looked to have done a great job! Thanks for sharing that. Regards, Mo 😊👍
Great shine. Will order some I think. Hope it works on our Bailey pheonix with grey sides 👍I’ve also used auto glym super resin polish on the windows. Does remove slight scratches and rain just runs off the windows.
Well we thought it was great. I’ve used the resin on our old van but not used it on the current van. That’s a summer job! Thanks for comments and watching
Great job - Autoglym are hard to beat in any of their products. Has anyone out there mastered cleaning their windows without getting the swirl scratches? I have used the best cleaning products with super soft cloths and no luck. Once the sun shines on them it really frustrates me at the amount of scratches - maybe I just need to chill 😅
I’m always frustrated with the windows, clean them then look out of them and find something I hadn’t noticed before! Will see if there’s anything out there to stop the swirls. Cheers
Yes I’ve thought of that. I’ve used T-cut to get scratches off my watches in the past so know it works. Will have to give it a go. Thanks for comments and suggestions. Cheers
I’ve used quarter of this bottle, didn’t do the roof so I would say a least 4 washes. I did buy two bottles of it as I wasn’t sure how much I’d use, but I got plenty to last me now! Thanks for watching
I’ve still got 3 quarters of the bottle left, the cloth got that much on it I just used that towards the end. I’m going to try T-Cut! Thanks for comments and watching
