Love your videos. The only watch channel showing watch in different straps. Other watch channels are great. But this is what im looking for in a watch review. Kudos.
I see most of the comments here are from two years ago. I have two things to say. First, this gentleman can sell me on any watch with his quality of videos. Second, the SNKL23 is available again. I just bought a SNKL23J1 for 104 usd from Jomashop. I will keep this video as a documentation regarding my watch.
An elegant timepiece considering its price. You get your money's worth coming from Seiko. The 7S26 movement may not be the most accurate but it does the job with its robustness and durability. Was fortunate to purchase one 2 months ago at $80. I replaced the bracelet with a Seiko Jubilee from the SKX series.
Thats great to hear, it seem this watch is becoming harder and harder to find. Don't forget to check out our site if you want to change the look of your new Seiko. www.watchgecko.com/
There is a reason why it is called ‘the poor man’s Datejust’. Mine has a dark blue dial, and is looks stunning! It is true though that the quality controll of Seiko is dismall and dull, but the 7s26 movement is easy to regulate, with a little patience you can do it yourself, to my opinion Seiko is now really stepping up the game with the new 5 series they want to go to another level and charge swiss brands
Excellent video. I agree wholeheartedly... no need to break the bank to get a gorgeous automatic on the wrist. As you said, it will garner much respect.
WatchGecko : Tough to choose as they all look so good. If I had to pick only one, I would go for the vintage leather strap... it really enhances the look of the little Seiko in a way I have not seen before. My second choice would be the mesh bracelet.
Looks awesome on the Kington Vintage Leather! I have the SNKL45, almost exactly the same but without the stripes. And that mesh! You have a sale right there!
Seiko 5's are great value watches if you are looking for a mechanical watch which are relatively cheap. I have two in my collection, one similar to this one but with the crown at 3 o clock and a sportier watch with the crown at 4 o clock. I purchased the latter watch from Ebay at around £65 but in a jewellers shop they are currently at £120+, it's worth shopping around to pick up a bargain. A good alternative to a Seiko 5 and at roughly the same price are the Orient 3 Star range so worth looking at those too. Like the Seiko 5 the movement in a Orient 3 Star is also in the Orient Mako diver watches and they are very accurate movements.
I will start with an Invicta, a Seiko SUP880, a Casio for 20, and a G-Shock Neo Tokyo. After that a Zeppelin Graf Zeppelin and a Casio Edifice. If I am going crazy a Beluvar moon watch.
Brilliant videos. Love your narratives and watch strap variations on the watches you’re covering. These are clearly working, as I’ve bought way too many straps from your fine shop. 😜 Keep up the great work! 😊🍻
I know you don't like to be corrected, or told things because you're a bogan sort of twit, but "Mil" is a term that means "thousands of and inch", not "millimeter" which is... right.
Just got mine snkl23 last week.... I believe seiko had bring back this model for production. Super loving it, what a surprise is the accuracy only lost - 2sec or - 3sec perday. Maybe im just lucky
I have a 6.5-inch wrist and find this watch size perfect for me, but I have to mention two factors that I’ve noticed over the 50-plus years I’ve been wearing watches. A wider band will distract from the watch size, so my 42 mm Orient divers wear smaller than my 40 mm divers because the Orient has a 21 mm band, whereas the standard band size for my other divers is 20 mm. Secondly, I personally feel a ‘tapered’ band contributes to a dainty, more feminine look. These are two things that I feel improve the look of the watch (for me).
Bro, am American and your British Accent is mesmerizing and makes for great narration. Everything you said about the SNKL23 is 100 on point. I am actually wearing mine as am typing. Best of luck. Cheers! P.S I just subscribed to your channel.
I have just bought this watch from long island watches, and it's a beauty, although i don't mind the bracelet, i think I'll buy that tan leather strap cos it really makes the watch stand out beautifully
Black stripe matches well with a black dial. With brown looks a bit strange. I think these two things should match. Presentation was fab but would be happy 😃 to know more about features and a price.
The Seiko SARB033 is a stunning piece! If you haven't already check out of coverage of the SARB here ; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kx7ydTjv1vI.html - SARB Review ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GVY_FqqooX4.html - SARB Strap Showcase
Finally ordered one of these yesterday. There seems to be a new batch of these produced in the past few months. Love the mesh strap on it. Great review
I have the SNKL45, which is exactly the same watch except for a red second hand. I decided to wear it with its stock folded link SS bracelet, though. It's not fancy, but for me it's very convenient.
I purchased this watch a while ago as my first watch. I'm thinking of getting a SARB033 as my next watch, although I'm not sure if it will be worth it since the watches are so similar. Anyone have any thoughts?
Thank you for the support! we have many videos planned, make sure to subscribe with the notification bell turned on to be notified right away when we upload. :D
Where can you buy this? Im not that much into watches but i want a nice piece for not too much money. I really like the look of it but idk where to buy.
amazon, ebay. Though numbers of sellers who sells this watch is quite small, so keep that in mind. If you don't to get a bit of risk, look up to the asian e commerce such as singapore or malaysia
I've not been able to find one of these watches for under £130 + shipping (08.10.2019). Gets a thumbs down from me as there are no links or pointers to where you can buy them from in the £80 - £100 range. A bit misleading if you ask me.

@@ankitmadan they've monkeyed around with the movements so much with these movements the 7S26 series movements went through so many phases. If they would have stayed with the original 7S26 it would have been good. The latest 7S26C has thinner bridges and lots of plastic components for the calendar works and such. Many problems with day date rollover at times. ( Mostly from people not setting the watch properly). So many variations in the movement. Some kept good time while others lagged. Such high production movements and possibily lack of quality control as the last models rolled out. Outside appearance looked good in some instances, but the newer Seiko 5s seemed to have had issues. The SNKL23. Was a limited production watch. However mechanics is the same than any modern Seiko 5.
I have this entry level seiko and happy to wear it as a dress watch with a vintage leather strap. Really good bargain for the price but may be unavailable now in this configuration ?
