I’m thankful to have found a Copilot review video that isn’t sponsored and actually goes through uses with the app while presenting with the user interface. Very much appreciated. This was very helpful.

It’s because every app that has to do with business tends to always have paid referral program. So every RU-vidr is just out for the quick bucks and doesn’t ever give honest reviews or in depth reviews with quality content.

@mattc16 I’ve only been offered one sponsorship by a fintech app and turned it down. All I’ve gotten is a few free months of using Copilot from people using my link, which isn’t worth much (but I am grateful nonetheless). But I get your point that a lot of RU-vidrs try to shill financial products for personal gain. Not me though. Honestly, the only fintech app I’d currently do a sponsored deal with is Copilot simply because I’m a huge fan and long term user of the product.

When people say sponsored much of the time it includes a referral bonus. Nothing wrong with that and he is no exception. With small time apps like copilot I highly doubt they are actively looking for people to send paychecks to.

This was immensely helpful! I had a trial for YNAB and it just ran out-unfortunately I've been super busy so I've only had a few days to set up my initial budget categories... Revisiting budgeting tools and came across Copilot. I really liked the idea of the zero-based budgeting that YNAB focuses on, I did read on reddit that it wasn't initially a priority for Copilot, but looks like their Dev / Product team is responsive with requests based on a quick glance of their subreddit. I too was wondering if they have sinking funds (saving for a particular goals)-mint has this too, but IIRC the limitation I remember was that you can't use an account for more than one goal. It'd be cool to see if there's support for goals to be aggregated / grouped to their respective accounts for funding. I'm excited to see how the NLP helps with categorization because reconciling transactions in YNAB, just like mint is time-consuming even though it tries to get the category on its own. Cheers.

Glad you enjoyed. There is a page in the app that shows all the upcoming features being worked on so I think everything you mentioned is indeed planned for the future if not already implemented. As for categorizing transactions, this is where copilot really shines. It’s so easy, it gets them right quite often, and even when they’re wrong you just click the categorization and all your other categories pop up - then you just select the right one. The UI makes it very intuitive and easy.

How do you tag or categorize a transaction when it’s for example a Target purchase consisting of clothing and part groceries. For the purpose of budgeting in Copilot
@AlekseyG
@AlekseyG 2 месяца назад
You can split transactions and then categorize them differently.

How often do you have to verify accounts?
@AlekseyG
@AlekseyG 10 месяцев назад
Very infrequently. Certain institutions make you verify more often like PNC is monthly or so but other accounts I’ve only verified a few times and I’ve been using copilot for 3+ years.

$95 billed yearly, expensive
@AlekseyG
@AlekseyG 6 месяцев назад
I don’t disagree, but by having an accurate overview of all your money, you make decisions differently. It only takes one purchase change to more than make up for the cost, and then some. Compound that over a year and I definitely find it worthwhile.
