It’s difficult to have her on a video like this. Not only does she pride herself on being different and weird, but she also was born in China and is 100 percent Asian. I grew up with my Asian mom cooking most of my meals, and the things I was used to and liked made my American friends gag, if they were even willing to try it. I think if she and Damien were on together, they would have more similar tastes, as Damien has more of an eclectic palate, and doesn’t stick to norms.

@@petrichor3561 LOL early on when keith and courtney were just starting to work with each other, they had a new office. courtney wanted to rearrange the desks so that they were all together, but keith wanted to keep his desk the way it was. courtney did it anyways and keith didn’t forgive her for like a long time. like he was so mad and they had beef for a good while. this was years ago tho at the beginning of their smosh time.

@Existential Crisis Core on Infinite Earths Alright, here’s constructive criticism. The concept is good, I think it could work. In fact, Damien and Ian literally ranked stuff together before and that was really fun. However, it’s not fun when 3/4 people agreed and the one ended up making the decisions anyway. I don’t think it’s her personality, but the bit wasn’t funny, it was awkward to watch even if it was just a joke. Fans are allowed to criticize something they don’t like regardless of the cause, and they’re not attacking Olivia’s character, they’re just saying this whole bit just wasn’t appropriate here. Criticisms alone isn’t going to doom a channel, what CAN doom it is the refusal to listen to criticism

Olivia doesn’t work well with the others And it isn’t about taste, it’s about performance tone, it’s constantly across all episodes Like the editors are pointing out the hypocrisy in what she’s saying, she’s being deliberately obtuse It happens in the TNTL eps, she doesn’t “yes and” and try’s to entertain by being an odd ball rather than building a scene with the others she’s working with Same thing happened here

I don’t think TNTL is a good comparison for this because TNTL isn’t really supposed to be based around team work (traditionally). It CAN have teams and scene building, but it can also work fine on an individual level the way it is intended to.

That, and on top of the mental health issues it sounds like shes in therapy for (good for her) probably are why she is the way she is. She fit in back when smosh was a lot more unprofessional and uncoordinated, but now that the rest of the cast have grown and evolved as performers, and shes stayed the same... she kinda sticks out like a sore thumb. Nothing against her personally, but I really think she needs to find her calling, cuz improv comedy and being a personality in content... idk she at least doesnt mesh with the rest of the cast anymore.

I agree with you! And I appreciate that you gave constructive criticism of Olivia’s attitude rather than ragging on her as a person, which seems to be what everyone else is doing in this comment section. Olivia clearly has a very different taste preference than the others, which is a good thing cuz you have a wide range of opinions! But I think the ranking system needs to be fixed so that one person can’t influence the whole rank if everyone else is on the same page

personally, i think Pringles are an E-tier snack. Especially when compared to crisps made out of actual potatoes, not potato starch. but if someone offers me Pringles, i won't say "ew, no thanks", i'll eat maybe a couple to be nice. i never get them myself though.

I'm not gonna lie, I feel like this would've been way better if there were less people. When Ian and Damien did this a while back it was more fun to watch, because they disagreed a lot but ended up having to compromise. This video was basically just Olivia disagreeing with everyone, but still getting the final say because she would get upset if everyone ganged up on her. Even if it was just Olivia and someone else, that probably would've given a more fair result.

My suggestion in this kind of content is to show variety of tastebuds. I also kinda understand why Olivia's rankings are different from the others. Asians tend to love seafood and spicy and I can attest to this (I'm a Filipino, btw). Next time, you can put Olivia, Keith/Jackie, Noah/Saige, and Kimmy to try it with her and to have a different perspective to what they're tasting. I think that we cannot judge people based on their preferences but also brutal to see how Olivia treated the others esp. when they didn't want to hear what they wanted to say.

Don't think it would've worked out. Rhett and Link are two and they can make things even. Here there are 3 people against one. Olivia would still be pissed because the ones she likes were going to be down on the ranking

I think they should just adopt the number system, and add them all up in the end, like R&L do. That usually gets the most fair rankings, and especially with 4 people.

If you do more of these, keep the arguing but make it more "fair" and let everyone's vote count equally, then average it out. It gets a bit hard to watch someone overruling constantly, even when it's done like a bit and for fun.

This felt soooo long and almost painful to watch: you can feel the general atmosphere in the video dropping a little more after each box. The cast seems more and more bored and not really wanting to be here anymore… except Olivia who's having a blast but who is really despicable here by being mean when someone dares to have a different opinion than hers.

Honestly did not like this, I know Olivia is kinda a little crazy and usually not a prob for me because I love chaotic energy. However, in this she was an absolute brat and it was uncomfortable to watch this. It's ok to have opinions but God this was over the top, if you guys rank stuff either don't put her in it or have individual rankings because this was awkward af to watch and uncomfortable.

i love olivia with all my heart, and usually if shes in a video i click on it but this entire video had me wanting to scream, she didnt let anyone else do ANYTHING the only ones that courtney, shayne, and spencer liked she said she hated just because they didn't like the only one she liked, and when they tried to compromise with her she decided that she was going to make the final decision, it gave me younger sibling vibes that does whatever they want and everyone just goes along with it, and it just made this whole video so uncomfortable.

The system that Rhett and Link use on Good Mythical Morning for this kind of things works way better, give it a grade from 0 to 100 and then just sum it all up, that way everyone's opinion counts the same. Then again, Smosh Crew they may have done it the way they did it so as to not do the same and do things differently.

But by the end of the ranking, the mood was so bad, especially Shayne was clearly really annoyed and kinda mad. I think the thing that went wrong here is that their opinions didn't really cooperate and how the rankings didn't feel ok for them. But regards to that i think they should still consider Olivia's opinion since what they're stating aren't entirely facts but just they're opinions. Altough this isnt a survey. They're a group, olivia should've tried to understand them and they should've considered her opinions. The vid context was a total misunderstanding and 'confusia'. the problem is the tier system. Olivia had multiple odd flavors she wanted in A, S or B. but the others wanted C or D or E Olivia would have tried some rare flavors like Prawn, and it would be more normalized to her. but the real problem is the other 3 had far too similar of tastes. while Olivia has a more Diverse pallet. so I see Olivia's frustration at being outvoted EVERY SINGLE TIME

I love everyone at the cast, but I swear to god Olivia was so annoying in this one. Literally putting her opinion over everyone else's and telling them they are in the wrong. I kind of felt like she didnt care about their point of view at all. You may either put her on a different table and compare her tastes to the rest, or straight up dont have her.
