This is the Knotts Berry Farm of the Six Flags Chain (well, until Knotts Berry Farm itself became the Knotts Berry Farm of the new Six Flags chain.) But both have the best appearance and even arguably qualify as true theme parks. And their coaster collections are quite good even if not the overall best. Fiesta Texas feels like what Six Flags ought to be. They actually use their IPs well.
Actually funny enough, the park president Jeffery used to be the marketing director for the near by Schlitterbahn Water Park before he went over to Fiesta Texas.
@@The_Bau5 Jeff is who I was referencing, lol. He was in charge of public relations at Kings Island before that. The voice on the Beast's 2nd lift hill that tells you to keeps your arms inside the ride is him.
Except for the fact Kings Island has amazing and diverse array of meal plan food including healthy hearty choices, and focused on operations over lame theming which is boring if you're over 13, has a much better waterpark than Hurricane Harbor, and isn't in a 110 degree summer climate. Oh, and Kings Island doesn't make you wear your flip flops on the likes of.... Invertigo, Banshee et al. And Fiesta Texas has NOTHING after Iron Rattler, I mean Wonder Woman is its second best coaster which isn't that great, and it's down 60% of the time. It's my off-season home park, sadly, along with Sea World San Antonio. Yeah the Joker is a better Frisbee than Delirium but otherwise Kings Island SMOKES Fiesta Texas.
Totally agree. We just went for the first time last month, the day that Kid Flash opened. I must have said a dozen times "how is this a six flags park?". The theming is amazing and it's run so well. You can tell that Jeffery Siebert really cares about his park. Got to meet him, super nice guy as well
SFMM is my home park, and I love it for what it is. After visiting SFFT, I agree with you it's the best all-around Six Flags property. Love you Saylor!
Give me SFMM all day. So many A and B tier coasters galore. SFFT has one A tier coaster (Iron Rattler). and a bunch of C tier coasters. And SFMM has many better meal plan options.
This is my home park and I think Six Flags Fiesta Texas might need more trees to hide some of open areas and it might make most of the park look larger. Fiesta Texas is great park ❤️
I used to live beside Fiesta Texas in those orange roofed apartments. That was before i became an enthusiast. The park became my destressing place from work and life. I go there 3x a week. Helped me so much with life and also the reason why I eventually became a thoosie. Honestly a beautiful place.
Great shots! The cinematography is very well done and y’all are super fun! Love it. This is my home park and I love seeing all the great changes. Thanks for showcasing it! Keep it up!!
We were rained out for most of the the afternoon, but, what we did experience during the morning and evening made us all fall in love with this park. Happy that Holiwood Nights and Rodeo are 2 different weekends so we can do both.
So happy that this is my home park. Although every time I’ve gone Kid Flash has been closed. Also WWGLC was running 2 trains but one train had 3 usable seats and the second train had the front and back seats out of order. According to the ride ops it’s a common occurrence and the trains are the majority of the problem. I’ve never really had an issue with OTS restraints but the ones on WWGLC feel like they’re trying to crush my collar bones. Can’t wait for these gen 2 trains.
Glad y’all had a great time! Can confirm that the team there from the park president down to the team members really care about the park. I just got a job at Universal Orlando so hope to see y’all more around the parks :)
Everything you listed apart from Iron Rattler is a C tier coaster. You could make a case for WW being B tier but its lack of reliability that makes Maverick on a steamy Sandusky Saturday seem like an emblem of reliability by comparison, drops WW a peg. Iron Rattler is definitely A tier, but Six Flags Over Texas has 4 B-tier coasters that are better than Fiesta Texas's #2, and Titan is arguably A tier.
It’s the only Six Flags I’ve ever been to. I was in San Antonio on business this September (from the UK). Having heard that Six Flags parks are a bit sparse on the theming, I was pleasantly surprised by how well themed it is. Dr Diabolical is probably the second-best themed B&M dive coaster in the world (after Baron at Efteling). I don’t get beyond vertical drops, though. And seeing the track below doesn’t have the same thrill as Oblivion or Baron.
This was a huge vlog! Almost as big as Texas itself. This is honestly one of my most wanted to visit parks. I remember being blown away the first time I saw footage of Iron Rattler. The way it comes over that wall, just stunning. Definitely one of the most picturesque coaster out there. The rest of the ride line up looks wonderful too.
I'm itching to get out to Fiesta Texas! I'm struggling to name a park formerly in Cedar Fair with this level of theming and the quarry wall gives outback Australia vibes! And the coaster collection is just 👌!
The best SF park for sure. I used to live in Texas and went several times. Also go to ZDT's about 40 minutes from there in Seguin. They have the Switchback roller coaster.
Six flags fiesta texas is a very fun park, we got to experience it during Feliz fiesta!!! But quick question how were you able to record on some of the rides (six flags doesn't allow recording on the rides) and get access to restricted areas like the quarry wall???
I'd rank it third behind Great Adventure (if fully operational) and SFMM. After that Over Texas and then toss-up between Fiesta Texas and Over Georgia. New England is up there, too. The main issue SF Great America Chicago has is staffing shortages because it's much closer to Wisconsin than Chicago and Wisconsinites don't want to be double-taxed and Chicagoans live too far. It's in far north Lake County IL and that's a problem for staffing.
While I love Fiesta Texas, I HATE the freespins. Whenever I ride them they trash my shoulders and neck. Miserable experiences. This park really could use a hyper
GOD... this is something i really miss about my old hometown. my family and i went to fiesta texas SO many times, i've been on almost all the rides and god it seems like this park has only gotten BETTER since i left. the last ride they added before i moved was daredevil dive, which i got to ride like 3 times in a row early!! if anyone's thinking about visiting san antonio, this place is DEDINITELY worth the stop (incredibly inflated prices since i last went notwithstanding...)
Hey guys! It was great to hang out with yall at the park and meet you. As a little fun fact trivia, there actually used to br a roller coaster next to wonderwoman where pandemonium currently sits. It was called Jokers Revenge (I believe) but it was a corkscrew coaster that operated with the entire train backwards!
No, WW is only a few years old and Pandemonium used to be Tony Hawk's Big Spin. It was around a lot longer than WW or Batman S&S 4D Spin and Rockville was completely re-built. Iron Rattler was a Rattler that made Mean Streak seem smooth. Gee, you are young.
@jandrew1994 the old vekoma used to be next to where wonder woman is now. The station for the ride was why the big warehouse building above the gokarts was made. This same warehouse now hosts the new Tangled Haunted house and the station for pandemonium. It was removed in 2001. This is my home park and has been for many years.
Omg I was just as surprised as you when I saw the themeing for Dr Diabolical. The inside literally felt like universal. It did not al all feel like Six Flags, but it was! And the ride was really good too. Dr Diabolical and Poltergeist theming make this park not seem six flags, it's truly amazing.
I agree Fiesta is an amazing park, their coaster line up is good, I am thing a mack spinner and a hyper/giga interacting with the quarry wall would round out their lineup and make them a top tier coaster park. The problem with the hyper/giga is how to fit it in without pulling a six flags over Georgia and ruining the overall appearance of the park.
How would SFOG be ranked if there were to be a ranking of every Six Flags park. They’re so underrated and have so much potential to be a top top tier park with the merger happening
@@oneshadyalien79yeah magic mountain has good coasters but no theming and also wwgl is better than wwfloc, iron rattler is better than twisted colossus unless u duel, and Tatsu is not that great, only thing I can agree with is x2
INFO NEEDED THANKS. whats the best park to go to feisty are six flags over texas ? i love thrill rides, and some great shows, and senery. any info would be great on the park, getting passes, places to stay, and any FREE TIPS on saving cash, thanks again
Love my home park, only problem it has is that it’s a sweat box in the peak of summer. The spring and fall are the best times to come, combine that with the nearby mall and shopping center literally across the street, it makes for fun times
I can agree that fiesta Texas is a beautiful park. But imo MM is better. The line up of coasters is there are definetley better than the other six flags parks have in terms of coasters. The other six flags park that I think is better than fiesta Texas is probably great adventure.
In terms of a park, it is probably the best. In terms of rides however it is pretty average for six flags and when going to a park I look at the ride collection and not the atmosphere or even the theming, although that does make a difference when I am there
Can’t wait to return to SFFT now that DD is open. Such a solid well rounded park, especially for a Six Flags park. Always throughout Superman is severely underrated too!
The sad thing is, is that this level of theming is something every Six Flags and Cedar Fair park can have for all of their attractions, if not at least their major roller coasters. They don’t need some extremely complex animatronics or randomly generated sequences to have a well themed queline when what they have for Fiesta Texas’ Batman, Dr. Diabolical and Poltergeist would absolutely suffice. Aside from that, as an outsider who’s never been to this park, the only thing it seems to really need to me at this point is a pure airtime machine with no inversions of any kind. Like maybe a Mack somewhere in the 150ft-200ft range.
I can't even believe that gorgeous park is a Six Flags. Wow. Fantastic rides with theming, clean, good atmosphere. If only Six Flags St. Louis was like that lol
I personally prefer Fiesta Texas over Kings Island but they're close to each other in my rankings. But that's all just opinion. But you're funny comment does make me wonder when and if people will start referring to them as all being the same chain in common discourse. I mean, some people still talk about "the Paramount parks" but generally Cedar Fair parks are all talked about collectively. While legally we all know these will be in the same chain, I still think people will still talk about the chains separately for a while. Will the parks all keep their current logos or will they have new signs with the Flags and new fonts? Will there be Six Flags parks with Peanuts gang and Six Flags parks with Looney Tunes? Or with they become more homogeneous? We have yet to see but the more they keep the parks distinct the longer I think it'll be before people commonly refer to them all as "Six Flags parks." My guess is that for years to come people will say "the old Cedar Fair parks" and "the old Six Flags parks."
This video brought me a hundred joys and a million tears of happiness. Fiesta is a great park -TOP OF THE LINE! It was fun watching the two stars of Coaster Studios become perfectly satisfied by the Park's leadership, great employees, and the great and glorious Obama-esque mind of company leadership - Selim Bassoul. Selim Bassoul has titillated the juices of Sarah and Taylor's Guilty Pleasure!!! and it's only gonna get better and wetter with Cedar Fair on Board. YEEET!!!
HEY COASTER STUDIOS! IM A BIG FAN! I THOUGHT I WAS SUBBED BUT I WASNT SO YK I HAD TO CLICK THAT BUTTON! Also did you know you’re on the twisted Timbers photo?
I've been a fan and a follower of coaster studios for years and watch your videos and im so pleased of your video of my home park..(i live in san marcos tx about 50 miles away)I am also a rollercoaster/theme park, amusement park enthusiast and also work in one waterpark (Schlitterbahn)Im so glad about everything you said about it. I have been to over 50 amusement parks and im working on 50 more in the next 5 years i live for amusement parks and you have been a great help to me in all your reviews...Thanks for all you do..And enjoy them rides for me..Maybe one day ill run into you and if you happen to visit Schlitterbahn this summer be sure to ask for Jose.. Garcia...
Magic mountain might be the best coaster park .. but I was just there tonight and oh my it’s just so horribly operated. It was dead, no one there , no vibe so many things closed on a Friday .no shows , no good merch just sadness and great coasters of which half are closed
That’s so cool that you guys love this park. I love it to my favorite ride is road runner because I like the family rides more than the crazy roller coasters. That new flash ride looks amazing.
