Very server friendly mod too, as it is all closed storage. What this means, is that whenever a player runs/drives/fly by a base with these kinds of storage containers in it, they won't have those long lags that will send you stuttering all over the place. With open storage, when you come near a base the server renders each and every item inside it as individual units, 3d model, quality, quantity, position in storage, you name it. But with closed storage it all just counts as one unit, potentially reducing your base from several hundred or even thousands of units down to a couple of dozen or less. Remember that every single item, whether it be a door, campfire, item on the ground, all count as individual units. This significantly reduces not only server load but also the lag others feel when they get close to your base. This is great for both parties as it doesn't bother others, and it doesn't give away the fact that your base is nearby. More and more mods use this feature, which is overall great for everybody.
This a cool idea. Since the survivors are random people, you would expect most of them to be civilians. Most player bases look like the owners fantasize about running the Wagner Group
Thanks for posting, not many proper Base Building mods videos out there. Should be noted, unlike the Wooden CRATE, the OLD Wooden BOX is NOT Flag protected, it Will despawn if not placed in a container/cabinet. I havent tested it, but I built a Old Box, and it had no Flag marker when hovered over. It was empty at the time. UPDATE - YES the OLD Box despawned. Stay gold.
Hey Mark, lovely video! Some people in our community were asking for clothing storage options. Like a locker(for example) that could store 2-3 of each type of the different clothing pieces: jackets, pants etc. but without the option to access those item's inventory. Have your come across something like that?
have you got any server recommendations. Id enjoy a server where this mod is on and maybe some codelock mod and thats it. More survival based servers but not to hardcore

Cool mod , I really like it overall , just seems to be really time consuming. In the time it took you to make all these I coulda built a full size base.
As someone who works making things out of pallets, this would be wonderful. It’s the end of civilisation in chernarus. Improvised stuff would be rife. I kinda wanna see a single shot zip gun or pipe gun, or maybe the ability to make improvised explosive out of ammo, or petrol bombs

@@Marks12 no it does not. But combined with the mmg storage mod it's awesome. Inside the mmg mod there are some storage options that fit the Vanilla theme and can be locked. Just disable the rest!
