Thrissur is an interesting place, of course there are all kinds of religions present too as we have learned from Kerala and India in general. There are a few things I want to do in this very nice city which apparently is also the richtest in all of Kerala.
The Bible Tower is situated in Thrissur city of Kerala, India. It was inaugurated on 7 January 2007. The tower is the tallest church tower in India and 3rd tallest in Asia after the church towers in Philippines and Lebanon.[citation needed] It is also the tallest structure in whole of Kerala.[1] The 79 metre (260 ft) tower stands behind two towers of 42.5 metres (140 ft) height

The Hindu temple that you crossed in this video is Vadakumnathan Temple. One of the oldest and the most important Shiva temples in India. You should visit that next. Although they might not let non-Hindus inside but I bet you can film inside if you persuade the devaswom officers a bit. It's a beautiful and ancient temple that is at least a 1000 years old.

Beef eating is made a political issue by a particular political party in India. That particular political party don't have very strong foothold in Kerala. That's the reason why eating beef is not a big deal in Kerala. But in other states of India, don't even dare to utter the word beef. No one can say what will happen to you. There is one state in the northeastern part of India called Nagaland where beef eating is not an issue apart from that it is a dangerous subject.

Wow! That's awesome. Never knew about this church though I am in Kerala. By the way saying that Christianity is from Europe is an abomination to us because we fought with the British to uphold our traditional christian indigenous ways and we won. Moreover, we knew Christ 1000 years before europeans so we are proud of it. Also because of our access to the middle east due to supply of spices since ancient times helped in fostering Christian values as many of our Bishops still to this day are from Damascus and other close areas.

What a beautiful church! Thanks for sharing, enjoyed watching this video! I remember having been to the Notre Dame church in Luxembourg and Paris. In the case of the latter, the exterior was as interesting as the interior! The St. Peter's Basilica in Rome (the Vatican City) was breath taking! Jesus is taken off the cross and is placed in his mother's arms - is something I see in many churches, but the one in Vatican is carved by Michelangelo - LA PIETA, and such a masterpiece! Brought tears to my eyes. The guide explained that it was only his "visiting card" before he churned out his legendary work. The idol of Jesus that was perched over the crib is the very famous Infant Jesus. But of course, the Hindus will be the only ones to talk about others' food so liberally. I have had many Kerala Hindu, Christian and Muslim friends. I have never seen the Malayali Hindu families eat beef or support eating beef in any manner. But I have known a Syrian Orthodox family that doesn't eat beef at all. They told me that many Malayali families in their denomination do not eat beef as they have descended from Brahmins! In my personal experience, my grandfather never allowed us to use the word. So, it is not such a light matter as some are making it out to be. But in the north-eastern states, I am told, many Hindus eat beef too. I know a few Hindu restaurants in the southern part cook pork as well. But many of them will tell you that they only cook it but do not eat it. Some even have separate vessels for the pork. In Karnataka (I think in other places also may be), one can often find "Hindu Military Hotels". That specifically means that one can find there chicken, mutton and pork also, cooked in genuinely indigenous style, with a helping of rice, idli, dosae and ragi balls. (every other meat but beef). India is an intriguing land, even to me, who is as Indian (Bharatiya) as possible. Enjoy it, that makes me so happy as I staunchly believe GUEST IS GOD - ATITHI DEVO BHAVA. Atithi stands for one who has no date or appointment. So we generally drop into the houses of our friends and family without intimation or appointment. Such a guest is a God to us!! It is this beautiful theory that you see at play when you go to the various regions of the Subcontinent! 🙏🙏

For listing and ranking communities as Castes, and converting people to Christianity, For promoting christian missionary education, For sterilizing the poor people to decrease the population and to test English medicine on humans and agriculture.. After the destruction of Gurukula education system by Mughal. Christian missionaries started their round of replacing the old educational system with English system.. And now Hindus don't know their history, and they don't know the treasure like ancient knowledge and the great language Sanskrit.. such a pathetic situation.. After all these pains and their ignorance, they still hindus smile at everyone and treat like their family.. that's why these much religions exists in India..

They just want to look so cool and liberal and progressive, but they secretly worship God in many different ways. Thank you very much for showing us this most wonderful century old church. Especially after seeing the most amazing interior of the church, it felt like it was the most legitimate place for Christians to worship in India. A truly amazing religious fervor was building up inside the church.

It is a syrup made out of Saraparilla roots just like the root beer flavor. But root beer has lot of sugar and very less of the actual root flavor. As I have sid before Kerala is a backward state with no compassion for any animal lives. Goa is the same. All western countries, alomost all asian countries like China, Japan, Korea etc fall into the same category of backward countries when it comes slaughter of billions of animals every day. Many states in India evolved in the most conscious way to develop the most elaborate, exquisite and delicious vegetarian cuisine. South Korean farmers are protesting aginst the ban of dog meat being proposed by their govt. The world is a terrible hell for all the other species because of humans. BTW, during your short visit in India, I hope you would make a choice for vegetarianfood and encourage and motivate your viewers to make a compassionate choice.

I do not visit India shortly, we keep coming back but we can only stay 3 months at a time. I am not a vegetarian but I mostly eat vegetarian as also my mother is a vegetarian. But it is not my goal to influence people in any one way but to show the culture and the food.

Kerala has ancient history of Christianity, the earliest in India and including the world. But you would have to to search for it, there are Pre-1500 AD church's and Mosques pre 800AD. There is ancient history of the Arabs, Jews, East Africans, Chinese (not long), Portuguese , Danish, French, Dutch, British.

Hindus generally embrace secular and open-minded values, which is why the two Hindu-majority countries in the world, India and Nepal, are known for their commitment to being secular democracies. In contrast, some of our neighboring countries, such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Sri Lanka, have become Islamic and Buddhist nations.
