The germany city Templin is located north of Berlin and the map's home base here is in reality the "Rettungswache" where they park fire trucks and ambulances. Nice.

Finally a game I have been looking for. I want to be in control and I want to witness the infection spreading and my own little city that I can protect and govern. I would pay big time for a game like this.

This game looks awesome and would like to see a full series. I'm wondering how the game would handle town that have a military base in them. Will there be military loot in the buildings or will they just be like any other building. There are a couple of town like that in Sweden where the town pretty much has grown up around the base.

The winter coming sooner because of climate changes, so It's a feature not bug. Well obviously the developers thought of this😂 :edit But all in all this is indeed truly a great game the voice-lines, the intercoms, the artistic style 👌 and many more.

You know what would make this game truly awesome? To be able to take control of ground units and move around, shoot and give orders. I bet we are a few years away from it.

It reminds me of 2D mobile game REBUILD, where you have to take over the city (houses, offices, public services, etc) from the dead, expand, and turn it into your own community. 🤔

Been following this for a long while now. I am still waiting until they add the ability to construct buildings, so you can disassemble buildings you don't want, and build other buildings in the location you do want them. Still, it is great to see the progress they have made.

Sure you've figured this out by now 38:28 when you select the Exchange button with a squad selected, it prompts you to select the squad, building or vehicle to exchange (with). This will give you the inventory of the squad you selected exchange on, and the target you chose to exchange _with_ so you can then move items between the original squad and the building squad or vehicle selected after the exchange button. Example: Squad 1 has 4 pistols and an empty "resources" inventory, with squad 1 you select exchange and then click to exchange (with) HQ. You can then drag pistols off of two squad members, drag 2 assault rifles from the HQ to the squad, then issue those to the 2 squad members you just disarmed. You can then also drag those pistols from the squad's resources to the HQ. Quite a while back, I saw a game that was very similar to this, but it was all about as detailed as when you zoom out so everything is just "table top models" all units were a single icon attached to a dot, where the icons were similar to the squad flag on the zoom out screen. It was something like "Zombie Zone Defense" or it may even have been called a Tower Defense or Base Defense, and it had very little in the way of graphics. A lot of the mechanics are similar, but this has better graphics, it's not all static hard coded maps, and you couldn't build things like farms. The Dev may or may not have ever seen the game. A lot of the concepts this seems to share are very easy for someone to have come up with having never seen the other. (I suppose it is also possible that it was this dev's "prototype" I wish I could remember it better)

One thing I noticed that annoys me is your squads won’t reload unless you leave the warehouse and renter it. If you’re in a big fight at night they won’t auto reload.

It would be great if the game evolved over the years into not just ''loot and surive'' classic Apoc survival, But also something akin to Frostpunk where you actually have to create/rule a form of government with laws and whatnot.

Honestly if it wasn’t for you I probably wouldn’t have supported this game this early, and let me tell you, you’re not wrong about that difficulty curve spike suddenly. I’m like 9 days in, barely any food, and 20 hordes attacking every night on very easy.

Anyone else notice Raptor accidentally selected the hardest level for Horde numbers.....Doh!

Sorry for the spam as I commented this on the Infection Free Zone from last month but some interesting locations in Europe could be. Some of these locations are surrounding by rivers/water due to them being old bastions/star forts from medieval time and I'm curious how the game would deal with that. Leeuwarden, Netherlands Bourtange, Netherlands Palmanova, Italy Ghent, Belgium Munster, Germany Copenhagen, Denmark

It will probably lower the rate of finding food in winter won't it? And for food production on farms? If so this could be an extra headache.

Got to be that pedant. The zombie apocalypse continues until it’s no longer a problem. The state of rebuilding AFTER the zombie apocalypse is the post apocalypse phase. The post-post apocalypse phase is when the world state becomes status quo, with zombies outside walls, walled cities, and solid bureaucratic infrastructure for dealing with zombies and infections.

My ideal zombie game would basically be an upgraded version of state of decay with the settlement building of Fallout 4 (with mods like sim settlements)

If they design the map locations based on earth map (may not be perfect but it will do) then I'll try to build my base on the Philippines there's a walled city inside the city somewhere there I will try that (visited it when i was a tourist) if they haven't added that I just build my own walls based on online pics XD

If this isn't multiplayer, it's not going to make it too far. Yeah, there is still a market for single-player games, but the longevity just isn't there. If it goes multiplayer then i'll probably pick it up. I'm not gonna play solo on something that has this expected scale.

I really hope they solve the snapping issues. Its all well and good building a base but not being able to put gates at critical start locations is a huge issue. And sometimes something is in the way and I haven't been able to figure out out to prioritize one lamp post so I can get in a wall.

I though it was like Urban Strife or Jagged Alliance like, you cant even see the characters or zombies, so nothing exciting about it even if a million zombie horde would emerge. Looking forward for Urban Strife.

The hordes don't come out of no where they hide in the building's like u said and that was most likely what happened. If u watch them before day breaks they hide in them and just avoid them building's when they do 15:15
