Netflix stupidest move to cancel this amazing series. it still haunts me, like a death, and I really miss it! The perfect assembly of incredible casting supported the amazing ON-POINT writing, everyone had incredible talent to bring, every story was so grounded, so fresh. The great writers brought new eyes to a culture most of us never knew. All was so credible. The source material created a wonderful foundation to build this world of Walt Longmire & Co. upon. BelIeviability is what these mega-talented actors brought to these stories. IF NCIS can run 18 seasons and still be be beloved, so can LONGMIRE. NETFLIX BE A HERO -- BRING LONGMIRE BACK. YOU CAN DO IT.
In case you don’t already know, Longmire was adapted from a series of books called The Longmire Mysteries. Can’t really keep it going once they’ve gone through the whole series......kinda like Game of Thrones
The British mystery series Midsomer Murders was based on 5 books 📚 and the author didn’t want to write any more of them. The series became so popular that the production crew took over writing new episodes and the series has lasted more than 25 years. Most of the regular original cast retired after 20 years and new lead characters were brought in and the series is still going strong 💪. If a storyline is strong and the casting is good, any series can expand far beyond what the original author envisioned.
Most people do not give credit where credit is due...this series could never ever have been so well loved without its major "character" the massively unique, and beautiful state called New Mexico! I never could figure Netflicks out...they could not even give the name of Longmire's actual location to NEW MEXICO!! NO doubt about this fact...New Mexico made it possible from the extras to the scenery to the town of Las Vegas, New Mexico! Viva Nuevo Mexico!
We watched a total of 63 episodes of Longmire & loved it...so disheartened that there aren't more episodes. Actor Robert Taylor is so authentic in his portrayal of a Sheriff & his good friend Lou Diamond Phillips, Wow...love seeing these two cowboys and love them both as actors. Super TV Series.
I am currently watching Season 6 and am going to be so sad when it ends. This show pulled me in immediately and I have become attached to each character. I really don't want it to end.
I felt exactly the same, like the others say, rewatch... and rewatch. Also, my husband and I recommend Craig Johnson's "Longmire" books! They're wonderful too! :)
Dont forget Ruby! She contributed a presence in the office- subtle but well done. Though she was almost always encouraging, a time or two she gave Walt a little deserved "what-for". Love ya, Ruby!!!
Awww, I just finished this last week, still crying 😢 Wish they would bring back the show, They should totally bring it back. OH MY GOSH IM CRYING😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I LOVED this show! In fact, I have not watched the A&E network since they cancelled Longmire, mostly because of the reason they cancelled their highest rated scripted show ever. The advertisers didn't like how many 50 and over were watching it. Well, FU! And after Netflix rescued Longmire they ended up cancelling it too, when there was room for at least 2 more seasons!
My daughter informed me it was a good show, I started it last weekend, just about to finish Season 4. I love this cast, Walt is my favorite. I’m about to read the Longmire books.
As much as I liked the TV series, the books are even better, especially when listened to on Audible. Many of the same characters, plus many more. Different story lines - the original ones as Craig Johnson wrote them. Everything is deeper, richer, more nuanced, and much more funny. The reading by George Guidall is phenomenal. Missing the Longmire TV series? Read or listen to the books! You are in for a treat.
Great acting Robert Taylor.I am an American who lived in Australia for a long time .Your American cowboy was great.I would of never thought you were an Aussie. ❤❤❤❤
The books are excellent too. The recorded versions are voiced by a wonderful voice actor who brings all the humor, dramatic tension, and vibrant descriptions to life. Highly recommended. I love the printed books (or ebooks), the recorded books, and the TV series, all of them bringing new facets to the stories. Would love a Longmire movie or three.
I got hooked on it from the get go, when it was canceled on TV, I freaked out, then Netflix took it on and gave it more life, then they canceled it too. I refused to watch the last season simply because I didn't want it to be over....I was so upset when I finally finished 😫
Got hooked on this series 3 years ago while helping on a ranch in Idaho, we only watched it the 2 weeks I was there, the hardest thing was trying to remember where we got up to, there's still 3 programmes to watch from 2019.
I love the show so much that I spent some of my time on a recent vacation visiting various location spots in New Mexico. While visiting Walt’s cabin, another Longmire fan and his wife drove up. If anything, the cabin location is even more beautiful than it appears on screen.
I grew up watching westerns with my dad. A friend told me about the series and I was quickly hooked. I love the stories and depth of all the characters. I am also Native American and I like that the struggles their struggles are portrayed. I hope they do a series of movies.
They need at least three more seasons of Longmire. Just a teriffic show you can watch over and over again. I'm glad I own it. The bundle on Vudu is a great price.
Can't believe it's been so long ago. It's still ok n Netflix!!! Watching it AGAIN 4th time, I keep seeing new stuff that ties everything together. Nothing will ever come close to Longmire. The bestest show ever!!!!
Yes I think it’s time to start over and watch Longmire again. By the way for the A Martinez fans... for those that remember John Wayne and the Cowboys... A Martinez played the young cowboy with only “... half a name...” his name was Cimarron.
I started background on Longmire. A very friendly set. I was a courtroom deputy, 1 of 3. good food. Taylor and Sackhoff would talk to the background folks. LDP not so much. I don't do BG or acting any more. It's tough!

I’ve watched every episode & am about to watch it again! I haven’t enjoyed a episodic program in a long time! This program brought back memories of something between Gunsmoke & The Rockford Files!! I you love Longmire & aren’t familiar with both of these series check them out!!
NOT MUCH OF A WESTERN PERSON BUT I JUST FINISHED THIS SERIES & IT WAS DAMN GOOD & HATE TO SEE IT GO HOWEVER PPL MUST UNDERSTAND IT WAS BASED OFF THE BOOK SERIES & PRETTY MUCH ENDED WHEN THE BOOKS DID FROM WHAT I GATHER... I DO THINK THEY COULD PULL OFF ANOTHER SERIES W/CADY AS SHERIFF & IT WOULD PROLLY BE JUST AS GOOD.. WAS REALLY DIGGING THIS SERIES & LIKE EVERY1 ELSE HERE I HATE TO SEE IT END..
A good friend of mine Love this show and told me about it and she got me hooked Love Love , Please make some more show . It is to bad Branch killed of his son , I thought caty and him would get back together. Please bring back more shows of this Long mire. My favorite show
Robert Taylor is returning to Aussie screens in a new drama about Australian news readers in the 80s, can't wait and I am still on Season 4 of Longmire.
Netflix took over producing starting Season 4 I think and it felt they just want get it over with, each season after that was only 6 episodes each more than 1 hour long. I keep re-watching first 3 seasons those are my favorites.
I have watched all 6 3 times. I sure wish they would bring it back. Great acting and all actors worked so good together. A and E is so dumb to drop this. I can't stand reality shows. They are meaningless. Bring back Longmire!
