I was a part of the first batch for this case and I LOVE it. Running a Ryzen 2600 and 3070XC3 with a 120mm AIO. Don't know if I'd want to run anything more powerful than that due to thermals (though I'm eyeballing a 5800X). Performance panel on the GPU side and glass on the CPU. Core just BARELY fits due to some bowing near the PSU cable extension but overall I'm extremely happy. Also the guys at Thor Zone are awesome. They let me get into the first batch with the Kickstarter benefits even though I missed it by a few days. I hope this case lasts me forever, but GPUs keep getting bigger...

Ditto. Only catch is that you'd buy this for style and performance and modern GPUs are monsters now so you can't fit the performance HW. Waiting for the new AMD cards as they are most likely the smaller size GPU due to their push for power efficiency. It's that power efficiency which will allow for SFF and elegant designs such as this to be possible. As for SFF builds I'd check out optimumtech. Same. I made the mistake of buying a mid-tower case that nobody was reviewing for my current build, and I'm worried about the thermals at load. I'd buy a full-tower version of this. GPU prices are currently dropping here in the middle of europe. 3080 dropped by 150, 3070 dropped by 300, 3060ti dropped by 200. It's the second month with declining prices now. I wonder, with more and more countries throwing all covid restrictions out of the window, if it gets even better and we reach a reasonable price range. This summer could be an all time low in pricing. But i think it's wiser to wait for next gen as long as you have a powerful enough card. After the last 2+ years i have no doubts anymore to buy a 4080 for 200 or 300 above msrp, if there is any stock at all on launch. Just to skip any possible gpu drama for the coming 2 years. And then do a neat brandnew itx build like in this case. 😀

Take away the 240 fan concern and just focus on the stock 120 or an aftermarket upgrade, that might be something to think about. But seeing as it comes with a 120 AIO already installed, it makes me think that they already realize thermals and throttling, so they are providing the needed solution right out of the gate. I've been working on my PC using aluminum as well and CNC machining, with integrated 'cables' like Apple's Mac Pro machine.. I was designing it well that friends say maybe I should try to improve more to sell it. I recall some people also told me no-one likes 3mm aluminum as a PC case because it's too thick. This video and comments gives me inspiration.

I really like this case as a concept, especially the Borg mount. If I was to go SFF I'd want a tall, small footprint case. For me, I'd want to be able to fit a 240 (or even a 280) with 2 fans and a full-size GPU like a FTW3 or Red Devil. As you said, an XL version would be very appealing.

Used to do quality control for a radiator manufacturer. We typically didnt worry about straightening fins unless it was at least a handful bent consecutively. Otherwise, the impact was considered negligible and would be shipped. I'd try to straighten as many as I could, but sometimes that could be difficult on top of the other work involved (measurements, checking features, welds and some GD&T is involved with FARO arm measurement or optical probes for larger pieces. That being said, our products were mostly larger pieces for commercial and industrial application, so with small consumer-oriented cores it wouldn't surprise me if they were slightly more concerned with bent fins due to the small overall surface area of the core where each fin matters more.

I just want one of these size cases to come out with watercooling in mind and a panel with pass-throughs built in for an external rad. While possible with most of them there's a decent difference when the clearances are designed with it in mind

Awesome case. Looked up pricing and the no rgb, performance panel, and with front booster is $500 Canadian Rubles. That's a little high in price for me when I'm also looking at the Corsair 5000T for the same price. I'm sure I'd have to pay a premium for shipping costs as well. I'll stick with the Cooler Master NR200 for my ITX build.

That is a very nifty case! I kind of want one lol. However, They should recommend in the user manual the "inverted" style as the normal style with the aio as exhaust up top. If you have it normal, all the air will be trapped in the pump which is terrible for the longevity of the AIO. That would be my only thing I could really recommend for them.
@sheilaolfieway1885
@sheilaolfieway1885 2 года назад
if you could get the graphics card fan to push air up into the radiatior i wonder how well that'd work.
@mmceorange
@mmceorange 2 года назад
Well you don't want air in the radiator either. AIOs should be sealed, without air. If it has air then it's leaking somewhere. A regular w/c system has a reservoir to keep the air out of the system
@nl9963
@nl9963 2 года назад
@@mmceorange actually to my knowledge all AIO manufacturers will have anywhere between a 2%-10% air range. They try to get it as low as possible, but it's never 0%. When you get a new AIO you can shake it and hear the water sloshing around meaning there is air in there. Water will eventually evaporate out over time due to wear on the piping and seals, but it's only adding to air that's already there. Pretty sure Jay has had it in a video where he talks about the small amounts of air in them as a side note, and I know gamer nexus has done in depth videos on it as well as asking the manufacturers which is where I get the 2-10% air number from. The place the air belongs is actually in the radiators, typically you'd want to top mount or front mount with the pipes on the bottom with the other side of the radiators end higher than the pump so the air gets trapped there.
@mmceorange
@mmceorange 2 года назад
@@nl9963 ok, I had not seen anything about up to 10% air in a brand new AIO. Given that AIOs don't have a reservoir, I agree the better of the two remaining options would be air in the radiator, if anywhere (or even the hoses, making sure the pumps output is ad high up as possible)

This case is pretty cool, it's so close to being great. Using this overtime I would be worried about the radiator being at the bottom unless you invert it. Wish they made it a little bit bigger though. The SSUPD Meshlicious still is one of the best SFF cases I have seen yet, only big problem is plugging DP/HDMI cables into the GPU.
@mofous
@mofous 2 года назад
Look into ADT-Link DP 1.4 extension cables (the PCIe 4.0 raiser that comes with the Mjolnir is from them too). They got all sorts of DP 1.4 90-degree extensions, they work great.
@arko612
@arko612 2 года назад
If the orientation can be inverted, I'd like to see two separate mounting points for the riser cable on either side, because having my graphics card hanging upside down seems like a really bad idea. It's going to put too much stress on the PCIe lock if it's a heavy card.

Years later I picked this up and run Thermaltake AXP90 x53 full black copper with Noctua 92 mm fan set to med high to high all the time. I did a bit of filing to fit it on AMD 7800x3D, with Noctua 25MM and 15 fans on bottom with Windforce RTX 4070. It does need short psu cables. It works great. Much like video I would upsize it 5% or so to take 240mm radiator and two 25mm fans. 200 mm PCIE 4.0 risers are expensive if you get quality one...

I am literally building in this case right now with a 12900k!… I can tell you, those were my exact words “just 3mm more on each side”! It would have made a huuuuuge difference and the case would still be very small and not notice the extra millimeters. I love the case but I was not able to get a 240 AIO in the case. That being said, I have not tried the Asetek one.. the thing is that that placket you got stuck on is exactly where the motherboard will go, so even though there is a dip, that’s where the mobo goes and it has no dip. I shot a video of my build but I’m still working on it and will upload a video “not as good as you obviously 😂” but I want to show my experience building in the case.

Don't be so quick to give a company credit for being "open to criticism" it isn't hard to say that. What will be respected is how they handle the criticism and adapt their products. As far as the case, (p.s im not in the market for one anyways) it seems like even a radiator that would fit is still pushing hard on the psu cable, and like you said it could use a 5mm growth spurt seeing as both of your 240s barely couldn't fit. For $400~ I definitely would be looking at other options.
