Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This RU-vid channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

I’ve been playing two years. My inexpensive beginner set did its job but I recently moved on to Cobra Radspeed full set of Irons, Driver, and a Hybrid. This is definitely the correct set for the next step in my journey.

I just got fitted today and ended up going with a set of Cobra’s rad speed clubs. They just felt really nice and performed wonderfully for me. I have very little golfing experience under my belt so the level of forgiveness these clubs have was awesome in my book.

Rick has been hitting almost all the drivers he ever tested about 300 yards total +/- 8 yards since 2013. I bet he could hit ANY driver in the last 10 years a similar distance, including yours. His 5 years of all the big brands drivers test prove this. But it is sure fun to test all the gear, isn't it? I enjoy these videos because it keeps me swinging indoors and out. Going to the gym is so boring, but this is keeping flexible and fit. Thanks.

I bought the Rad X Draw driver last week for 159.99 on Ebay. It has changed my game! 2 rounds and no lost balls off tee. Down the middle every time!!!

Rick one thing I think you should give credit to is how the RAD speed XB kept your side angle much closer to 0 than most other drivers have in the past, for someone who is transitioning more into forgiveness than flat out distance I would say it’s one of the better drivers you could have to not go left on you

Everybody: You'd be much better off spending the cost of a new driver on lessons. Me: Spends 2x the cost of a new driver on lessons, still snap-hooks most shots 45 degrees to the left.

Driver shots, at most 14 on regulation golf course. Fairway wood and long irons (hybrids) another 14. Approach shots including tee ball on par 3s, 18....total 44, pitches, chips putts (short game) the rest. I shoot mid 80s to mid 90s...36-46 shots. Focus on your short game that is where improvement happens.

Glad to hear there isn’t much difference because I just bought the Cobra Speedzone Xtreme in late September. (Your videos highly influenced the purchase.) The SZX is so forgiving and longer than my previous driver. I know a lot of 90s items are back in fashion but the marketing team missed on the looks of this new RAD driver and calling it RAD Speed. The matte finish is nice though.

I love this make. I have a Cobra RAD-Speed 3W, 3H and 4H - and they are amazing. When it came to the driver though, I opted for a PING G425 Max over the RAD Speed BX because it was just that more forgiving. They're super woods though.

I play the white Rocketballz 3-wood and I will never get rid of that baby. It's just so incredibly hot coming off of the face. And I'm definitely loving the Cobra F9 driver I got last year. Tee game got considerably stronger this year because of those two clubs.

I kept coming back to Cobra after foolishly buying "30 yards longer" drivers and woods. Now, I still have the BioCell driver and 3 wood, and I don't see myself changing any time soon. Both of those perform just as well as the Miura MB 5002 irons in my bag. I love the sound Cobra woods make as well. My 7W is a 20ish year old Callaway Steelhead that still works just as beautifully.

I’m not leaving my TAYLOR MADE M6 Woods for the next 10 years Bru...I hit those things longer than anything I’ve played ever before and TRUST ME I’ve played “The Best” out there, from GREAT BIG BERTHA,PING RAPTURE,TITLEIST D2,905,975D...LAUNCHER... I still own the old(2006) TOUR EDGE EXOTICS 1,3,5 CB2,one time longest fairway woods. I upgraded to TM M6 woods in 2019 and I’m not changing anytime soon. Don’t change Bru 😉

Just got a new cobra radspeed driver I upgraded to this from a taylormade ti bubble 2 which was only 285cc head so after going to the range today i was shell shocked to say the least. I drove the ball an extra 40 meters on average. But what really got me was the forgiveness. I had it on 9° of standard loft and didn't slice or hook one ball. Just draws and fades i was amazed. Absolutely love this driver

I actually own a 2021 RAD speed XD and along with some minor swing changes it has absolutely helped get my slice under control. The last round I played I was striping them down the fairway and out driving the rest of the group. Previously my slice was so bad I would be in the woods fighting snakes to find my ball or losing them and takings drops. I would def recommend these drivers (whichever suites your game).

I bought one last week - OMG. Just amazing driver!!! But then I came from a MP-001 from ~2005 LOL. Having taken golf back up two weeks ago, I was shooting +9 on its first round and I used to play to 5 -6 back then so this helped me get somewhere near my old standard. With this driver, I feel so confident over it and hit fairways where I would lay up normally. I have the XB and to be honest just works really well. Confidence is half the battle. Great review, as always.

My new XB deffo helped me, average length, 240 to 285 yards with tight dispersion. Biggest difference for me was my UST 4F2 lighter shaft. Shafts make the biggest difference as most top 5 branded driver heads are very similar.

A very honest review Rick and one long needed. I have used a TM Rocket balls two for almost 6 years and been mostly happy with it however, this year (my 72nd) my average driving distance has fallen of a cliff. I sure its down to spin, so I'm keeping my driver, and when this bloody pandemic is over I with professional help will improve it then I will get a F9

Just got fitted for new clubs. Went with the cobra king speed zones irons, 3 hybrid and 3 wood. Couldn’t miss with them in the simulator. Can’t wait for them to come in and get some swings in!

Great review Rick, love the honesty as always. two questions: did you use the same shaft and switch out the driver heads? or did you use the shafts paired with the driver? also, do you lose out on endorsements b/c you are brutally honest and game what's best and not what's paying?
