So this is probably the most exciting solo female vanlife road trip Lou has been on! She FINALLY gets some new shoes for our self built campervan and gets those all terrain tyres fitted!! She takes them up a size too with MSW48 wheels, going from 15 inch to 16 inch and chunks it up with some Falken wildpeak ATW3A's!

Lou? Apparently migraine's interrupts the digestive system and prevents it from working and from absorbing nutrients, etc. My step dad claimed 'Solpadeine' is the only thing which works for him, but only if taken immediately upon the first onset of symptoms. The digestive system apparently shuts down from working so nothing helps if there is a any delay. A famous actor even contacted him to say thanks and it had been a great help in helping her crippling symptoms too. -You can buy 'Solpadeine'' in effervescent tablets which helps as they are quicker to absorb. I don't know if you can get power sachets in the UK but may worth a go if you can.

The wheels look amazing! The thing with the BF's is i also dont like the white writing but they can be mounted with the writing facing the inside of the van. Falkens are great tyres and really popular in Sweden. Being a former mechanic... i know my tyres... it really sets off the van and makes it look even more bad ass.

You are both England's answer to Thelma and Louise and I haven't watched Netflix since I subbed you the other week and you're fast becoming my FAVE channel so Hey ! Looking at your channel vids page with ALL the thumbnails together is seriously funny with the titles and photos, clicking vids is irresistible and I have to say Your video editing is absolutely TOP NOTCH PRISTINE PERFECT and looks AMAZING on my BenQ 4K Monitor. Your Epitaph will probably read "This IS the end of Solo VanLife !! ... Funny you went to Reading as I spent my 1st 16 years living between Hounslow London with Mum and Sonning Common between Henley on Thames and Reading with Dad and I went to Chiltern Edge Sec Mod School. You got that *SENSE* by the layby that something wasn't right and I have them too, when you go into a new area or you meet strangers, something not quite right, plus the fact I've been a minority gender since 1985 so I ALWAYS GO with that initial sense as I'm happily single but have a Jack Russell who is insanely protective towards me. And tyres, I got thick and wide Pirellis on my Ford Sierra in the UK ( it always felt it was tipping over on corners and my step brother worked at Central Tyres at that time and he put 4 new on and it FELT like there was serious glue on the treads and I could have driven around the wall of death when I was living in Basildon (at the same time Alison Moyet was in the charts and she grew up there) but in the '80s and '90s we called tyres boots in Essex. That video bit at the end with you both together was BEAUTIFUL, just very beautiful and heartfelt. Anyway, I have thought about a van but love my Audi A4 Avant 3.2Q tow vehicle too much but your van is very appealing but I'll stick with my 2010 Bailey Pageant for the now. I've only just come out of Winter, Shaken not Stirred, so am watching your older vids for warm inspiration. Have a Fab week the both of You'se 🌟

If you ever get that uneasy feeling - listen to it. That is something I honestly believe we have as a 6th sense from our great, great (x1000) ancestors that alerted them of some sort of danger. Call it what you want 'gut feeling', 'intuition' - it's those feelings that keep you safe. I've often ignored those feelings because I felt stupid or that I was being dramatic and regretted it after. Really awesome wheels by the way!!

We use a Ford ranger. Towing a gross weight trailer caravan 3.46 kg. We bought 4 wild peaks, 265/65/17. Just bought a new set. Got 55k out of them. And yes, I love em. Don't forget to rotate them, tread depth gage. Monitor that in case of under our over inflation. BTW, speaking as a bloody. bloke, I like birds too. As I taught my daughter, and 16 year old granddaughter, if you hear a warning bell in your head, no matter what, don't ignore it. You're getting a warning.

I don’t believe it you were literally parked about 15 minute walk from where I live in Reading the industrial estate next to the mainline railway. If I had known you were going to be in Reading I would have said hello in person. I missed Seeing your partner in crime in this video. I’m sure she is enjoying her snacks all by herself. I've said it for years, the biggest change you can make to the look of any vehicle is to change the wheels and tyres - great job, they look fantastic and have really uplifted your van.

If the wheel bolts are different from standard dont forget to keep 5 bolts in the van for the spare 👍👍👍 ps going from 15" to 16" will only gain you half inch 🤣

That's not always true. The wheel size has only gone up an inch, but the overall size may have gone up more, stayed the same or even less. Less isn't likely as you haven't gone for low profile tyres. I actually came here to say because the size is different you may not actually be able to get a valid mpg comparison as your speedo and mileometer are probably now under reading. I would double check your speedo against a sat nav just to make sure so you know what indicated speed to pass speed cameras at.

I have an L3H2 Peugeot Boxer and want to upgrade my wheels and tires too. You fitted 225/75R16 tires. Did those rub against the panels in the back or in the front while steering? I suspect not :) because you went far and wide with them. But my tire man says 225/75 is to big

If those tyres fill the wheel arches more than the set they replaced, they are probably larger diameter - if so the rotational speed (wheel revolutions per minute) is lower for a set speed over the ground, does that mean your speedometer is under reading with those new tyres? I know most (all) vehicles have their speedo over-read as standard, but it would be wise to check against a known distance or reliable GPS.

Hi put same size on my citreon relay speedo now reads exact speed same as sat nav , larger size kills engine performance so used celtic tuning who took hp up to 175 , now pulls like a train , and fuel economy 3 mpg better .

They have performed really well and got us out of a sticky situation but don’t forget no tyres will give you a 4wheel drive but these have done us proud 😀😀

Lou, your riverside park up was a couple of miles downstream from where I live and from where the helicopters are based. Often walk my dogs along to there. You won’t get so many miles from your new tyres but far better grip all right, OE tyres are built for high mileage and little else on commercial vans.

Great Tyres. If they are larger or smaller diameter wheels or tyres you may need your speedometer recalibrated. Just a thought. Cheers from old George. PS Please check that your wheels dont rub on inner wings at full lock on steering. Clockwise and Anticlockwise. I found out the hard way on my old car. Failed its MOT.

Did you pass your test before 1997? Heard you say 2000kg at rear and 1850kg at the front. That's 3850kg altogether which is over the 3500kg for post 1997 licence. Unless you have done your class 2/1 of course lol.

"cant buy bfg cos of the white sidewall", err, fit them back-to-front, so the letters on inside.... get a spare alloy wheel, alloys go out of fashion quick, so when your tame racing driver takes one out in a few years time, no replacement available...... also your van will drive shit with that 15" spare on the front. take your new boolers off, and put a good thin coat of copperslip on mating faces, cos they seize on like bastards on vans, usually damaging them getting them off [with a big hammer at roadside] unless your rolling circumference is the same, your speedo will be slow, check with your satnav, satnav should always be slower than speedo. fuel consumption may go up [stickier rubber] but not by much. [and may feel slightly slower] slip angle - the thicker the tread, the poorer the steering response. small difference, but may be noticeable to snackgoblin when she darts about. same goes for ultimate brake performance. top of the class for checking load ratings - important on that big fanny... you did get a high quality set of nuts +lockers for those boolers... sooo - we found another doggin site.......

HI - first ever of your vids and I liked your enthusiasm - will sub and see what your 'normal' vids are like. I could not go without offering advice on migraines - I used to get at least 1 a month where I would be hanging over the side of the bed literally wishing I were dead. My GP put me on a low dose of Beta Blocker (Nadolol) which is usually for blood pressure but has a side effect of reducing migraine symptoms and I have not looked back. So if you think your migraines are bad enough to warrant taking a small pill daily for life, please ask about it - was life-changing for me! I still get the odd one but nothing like the severe symptoms I used to get, often just vision effects now is the only way I know I'm having one. Also apparently it does not work for everyone - I was lucky!

Following you now for I think two or three months, so I’m still going thru your back catalogue…quick question what do you use for added sound effects? Also I’m assuming you use Adobe for the videos, I have a license to the full package but finding it difficult to pick up…you may have done one but any chance of not doing a video of your editing process…as I say if you’ve done one ignore me I’ll come across it eventually lol

I was surprised that Emily just haven't looked at them and only noticed that the new wheels were round, black and made of somewhat rubber... :-D Did you noticed any change in gearing, can you pull the gears longer or do you have to give in more on the throttle while lauching from standstill? I had driven two sizes on my Transit connect, 15&16", I believed the 16" made a smoother ride, less rpm and and such things... Don't know how it works in the UK, but are these bigger wheels need to be inspected and registered in your paperworks? Or are these already approved in this size for the van? Wise decision on changing the parkup, if it don't feel right, move on, no need to talk yourself down in the situation, only to find scratches or worse the other morning.. Thx for taking us with you on the trip, great landscape! :-D

Hi Horst, to be honest I’ve not noticed any difference with the gearing, I do think the ride is slightly better tho and I’m convinced that road noise has actually gone down!! Emily agrees so I know I’m not just trying to justify the cost in some way lol! 😂😂 Thanks for coming along on the trip, always appreciated 😀😀👍

Great the new wheels and tyres, I don’t understand why they mount 15 inch wheels on this van. I drove a long wheelbase Ducato with 16 inches was very comfortable.

Love all the videos Lou, Ya know all the bikers you hear of videoing themselves doin 150 down some road and then the old bill takes em to court and bans em. Great vid as always. i did wonder if you would have trouble getting it up... The Drone, when you said about military aircraft. At the start of the spring i used to fly around my garden and over the roof, but since all the trouble at heathrow and other airports they have changed the settings on good quality drones, and where i live near RAF Mildenhall, i cant even take off in the garden lots of flashy warnings but cant even start the engines let alone take off and hover at 2 feet. Great wheels and tyres, and i agree, white writing does look good, but cant be arsed with keeping wheels that clean. stay safe girls, catch you on the next one.

Regards the drone Off the top of my head Reading area is often used as one of the stacking areas for LHR hence the high aircraft count.
