No it won’t that game was done years ago they just were milking the last one for all they could before releasing the next one and only under pressure of the few fans they have

I already saw these water physics 10 years ago in tech demos and we still have Ubisofts water physics today.
@mythoti

They need to apply these physics to wind, only gauged for it's proper impact on the environment, imagine the sand blowing around realistically and kicking up dust tornados

Wow, very kewl! Thanks for sharing. I still recall games with amazing water literally decades ago with Far Cry which amazed me. It's one of the first things I look for in newer games.

Rdr water is not nearly like this, its a relatime simulation.

this can be use as a simulation in an actual application for "River flow" monitoring, "Ocean cleaning", etc.

looking at the river one, I was concerned it would just fill up infinitely, which would end up flooding the entire map after a while, but it seems I was wrong, looks amazing

i remember playing around with this tech demo, absolute insanity, the guys is a mastermind for making something like this, there is also a similar plugin called fluid ninja, but is not as insane as this one

The biggest litmus test for water physics is always around crashing waves. So many particles to capture. Notice they didn’t have breakers over ankle high in this demo.

I feel like rivers needs a bit more resolution, but this is pretty great. If devs start using it now and few updates come out for it, it's gonna be usable by the time 6000 series graphics come out in 3 years or so.

I really cant wait for these kinds of physics to be standardised in games. Never been too much of a graphics fan, sure nice graphics are cool and all. But i get wayy more exited when stuff behaves realistic in games, especially water!
