+Kiko Jimenez "Love" in our culture is way too subjective of a term, and rarely do we use it the same way the Bible does. Paul tells us that our ultimate offense weapon for killing sin is "the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Eph 6:17). It is the Holy Spirit working through and with the sufficient Word of God that we kill sin as we keep our eyes on the ONE who never sinned, Jesus. The ultimate expression of LOVE is found in what HE did: perfect obedience to the Father that led to propitiation for our sin (1 John 4:7-10). Without placing all our faith and hope there (defense shield of faith against the arrows), we cannot even consider truly loving our neighbors as ourselves.

The sad truth is that the doctorine of satan in most of Christianity is false. Sadly people believe in an evil God that battles the good God. Unfortunately Lucifer is just king Nebuchadnezzar and the snake in the garden is man's own thoughts. People are not tempted by anything invisible but their own thoughts and others who influence them. Devil just means slanderer, satan just means adversary, and demon is just disturber. They are in fact all common nouns and thus need to be interpreted properly. In fact Jesus is called lucifer because it is simply understood as a description of a king being a bright morning star and Jesus is our bright morning star just as Nebuchadnezzar was to his people.

You have to do a lot of metaphorical stretching to remove the concept of demons from the bible. Satan is simply a demon, and there are good reasons to take what the Bible says about him literally.
