Great overview of a very cool item. Sorry you lost all that footage man. I know you put in a crap load of time and effort to show lots of different perspectives/examples. However, the footage that you were able to show was bad ass. Congrats on the ROTS pb. Too bad those noobs held you back from getting your "clearly intentional" 8 second speed kill. ;p
@@ProtoxxGaming me too :) but maybe when your showcasing an item just for us. Anyways keep up the good work sorry bout the corrupted files always a pleasure to watch.
Short answer. Its way Fking better then paying for "statius warhammers". On avg each aod kill cost 3 stat war hammer specs, the curent price of a hammer spec is 250k. 20 kills and hour makes 60 specs an hour, or a 15m an hour cost. I think paying 500k for an hour of stat warhammer specs is looking pretttttty good right now. basically if you aod for 20 hours with the hammer inside, you have more then paid for the cost of the amulet in the hammers saved
The first weapon I tried in my EoF is a rune throwing axe, basically another richocet ability for 10% adren. For slayer it seems to work really well. And for 250 gold you cant really go wrong.
I know its probably not the best ammy for slayer but I wanted to try it out and made enough to basically break even on repairing all my degradables so its fine.
Im kinda late on this, but for nex and the dark bow spec you deffinitly should try to phase nex with a dark bow. For example you killed the minion after shadow phase and then phase nex with a dark bow. you are doing solo already around 15k (when you hit good) damage before nex even siphon
@@Ashley.D The spec damage depends on the weapon you're currently wielding, not the weapon you put into the EoF. Otherwise D Claws spec wouldn't really deal a lot of damage, would it?
@@Ashley.D Oh, well as long as people don't use the EoF as a spec switch only (due to its immense usage cost) or as long as they still have a different spec kept on it, I suppose they'd want to get everything out of their hammer as long as they can use it before making it permanent in the EoF. For example: Person A can't exactly afford several EoFs yet, and they try out Darkbow and Dclaw spec alongside some others (relatively cheap weapons to sacrifice) but their ultimate target is to put their hammer into it. As long as they have a functioning Hammer that won't degrade to dust any time soon, I suppose it'd be better to have a T92 Claw spec + T88 Hammer rather than only T92 Hammer spec. The damage is not the main purpose of that spec anyway so I think the 4 tiers really aren't all that significant. Accuracy matters of course, but then again 4 tiers aren't that much of a difference and become essentially meaningless if people have the ingenuity of the humans ability.
@@Ashley.D for the costs of upkeep, initial purchase (both stat and ammy) he might want the moneys worth of the stat hammer, I have to refrain from doing this shit myself, tight ass even though banks like 5b. I would still spend hours gathering resources rather than doing 1 elite dunge solo and buying them 5x over 🤣
I love my ornate finality and i dont care about upkeep costs, rax and farm runs and dailies keep me covered. I was wondering tho if i should get stat hammer spec for rax or should i use DDs spec.
@@Jagrok13 you can afk all melee tasks with just a scrimshaw, you dont need the sgs at all. Youd just be paying the price of the upkeep plus the sgs to sacrifice everytime you want to swap. As long as you have t90s, enhanced devotion 4, then you can afk all melee tasks with aggroverloads.
RS3 players: Jagex we wanna kill bosses faster, and beat world records Jagex: ok here is sexy amulet Also RS3 players: ree jagex power creep y you do dis! nice stuff Protoxx, I have a cup of tea next to me =)
just personal opinion but ECB is a better better high budget option for range EoF then SGB and ill explain my thought process. SGB is a good swap for melee and magic as well, but this would require you to bring a range weapon and EoF to use the spec. Using ECB in the EoF also allows you dual wield but more importantly use a shield with the spec is active. ECB is strong, but the spec has a big tradeoff, being your overhead prayers. The ability to weave in a resonance can keep you alive while maintaining the spec. Finally, you can use things like chins while ECB spec is going, which is massive for AoD and RotS.
@@ProtoxxGaming everyone sleeps on sgs, now that u can actually scale the spec its really good. Obviously not dps, but if ure doing something that you can exactly heal through with ss it should be pretty damn good
I had dclaws on it for Telos and switched to sgs just to see if the constant healing and prayer recovery on p5 while using zerk was worth it. I went from constant 0 font kills to slow 0-1 font kills. Defenitely you want dclaws, dds or stat's hammer on your EoF. Nothing else.
@@ProtoxxGaming its not just about dps. Sgs increases survivability in certain boss fights massively. Very good for elite dungeons(which i do a lot) and the dragon dagger is what you call a waste of adren imo :)
@@samurai2emporor Im just a filthy casual lol. I spend most of my time doing stuff like mining, smithing, arch, etc... not really into combat all that much.
@@polraudiozion1156 using an almost 30m recharge ammy instead of a scrimshaw/aura/familiar doesnt make sense for filthy casual playstyle even after the fact 🤦♂️
That's a great question. I am almost positive I saw something on release that if using IS against something like Telos where it calculates T97 damage, then a guthix staff spec will also be calculated at T97 damage. Not 100% sure but fairly confident.
Question mr protoxx, I’m thinking of sinking 1.6b into SGB for my EoF spec, currently using dbow but don’t seem to hit very hard, do you think SGB is BIS for the eof or just to bring it as a switch instead ?
I was able to buy adamant (H) items below g.e price because they are fairly common in Sandy clue scrolls..everyone wants to sell them quick. cheap fortune components
I have been making my own amulet from hydrix i have been saving and I just finished yesterday. This is the exact question I was asking myself when I was trying to figure out if I should keep and use it or sell it.
Items that degrade and need repair do so in such a way that the charges are lost by the number of damage hits you deal and take over time. So charges are lost faster when fighting large numbers of enemies at the same time because you deal and take a lot of hits. Doing slayer mobs or elite dungeons with this ammy will burn charges faster than many boss fights which are generally more 1 v 1 or have a couple of boss minions at most. However it is also worth noting that the number of charges that can be used up is capped at 100 per minute, so on an item with 100k charges you are guaranteed at least 16.5 hours even in extreme worst case.
if ypu got 120 slayer you can simply do edimmu only tasks by using perk and skips. blood amulet shards drop frequently and they are 19-21m right now. I have 10k edimmu kills and got 26 shard drops, and 13 of them in just this month. so you can simply kill edimmus to upkeep your essence. of course you need dung 115.
I have enough reaper points for two hydrix and almost enough fort comps for the EoF but I still have lots and lots of upgrades should I stop collecting forts and sell the hydrix to afford other things or just make it and keep it so I have it? Any replies would be lovely cheers people
I have two EOF amulets on bank presets for mage and range setups and they are always getting loaded incorrectly. Super annoying when you get to a boss and have the wrong amulet on. It seems to load the one with the most charge remaining, I think? Anyone else have the same issue or am I doing something wrong?
Yeah! I love the Dark Bow spec with my dual Ascensions. I would always pick the cheaper specs and use a high tier weapon. The EOF amulet is so amazing. I ended up having to buy a new souls and reaper to trade with a clan mate that has 99 crafting, but I earned the hydrix and made it alchemical through reaper and invention!
You said you should prioritize other stuff first. I assume get T90 weapons and armor? I just came back after 2+ years and I am struggling a bit getting back up to snuff lol

@@NSDCTwitch just read the runescape wiki and look at all armor and weapons, you can see for yourself prices etc. and always prioritise weapon upgrades over everything else
Got some questions. Can you redo this video. I really would like you to reshow case the melee specs and magic ones. I am also curious toward adding a saradomin god sword for the spec. It is helpful to add? I am also curious about using the armadyl battlestaff for the magic spec. I appreciate your video.
@@ntsu6969 that’s true. I still struggle with switches so was trying to make it a little more straightforward lol. I guess it’ll be easier once I buy an essence of finality
Why the hell would you put a dbaxe in an eof? The spec doesn't even deal damage, it's completely pointless, just equip the dbaxe and use the spec normally
@@lolbajset Oh lool that's true. It's been a while since I've played so I guess I mixed up the dragon battleaxe with something else. Had to look up the battleaxe again and saw that it just raises strength
The dumbest thing is if you have multiple amulets, the one that loads in your pre-set is the first one in your bank. Pls fix this jagex, don’t wanna bring multiple eof’s everywhere to drive up my death cost 🤦🏻♀️
I honestly don't find running costs that much. Depending on what boss you are doing. Hogh level bosses, if you get 1 drop you pay the charges and still have cash. For ed3 most of the dungeon you use salve amulet. So reaper just for some mobs if u need the hp and crassian and ambassador, 1 hour of ed3 and you pau 50% charges which lasts you hours and hours. For magister camping khopesh you use like 20% after making 200m from a khopesh.
yeah its not too bad. For slayer mobs like abby demons I'd definitely swap out for a blood fury, dragon rider ammy, demon horn or something else cheap to use. But any bosses above GW2 level it pays for itself. The effect from getting souls + reaper necklace buffs at the same time is amazing at magister and nex where accuracy is important but they can also hit you like a truck through prayers.
@@ProtoxxGaming yes you do, but never talked about bakriminel bolts with sgb spec, also you had sgb in the good spec weapons part of the vid which means it should have atleast been mentioned, great vid just wish it had more info on the hefty cost side of specs
