@dorky, 2 scythe, decal, color. Tbh, I just wish they do something about their problematic parts, then definitely going to get them (neck part, unfit katar, effect part etc)
Also they han shuang released a new mokit finale assaut. I have ordered, it looks good if you like busy and edgy looking mecha. But MG hasnt reviewed though.
I wouldn't call this kit a bootleg, it's an original product by a third party. Sure, it looks like a Gundam, but it's not based on any existing design. A bootleg would be a copy of a design that already exists, whether 1:1 or with slight modifications, but this seems to be an original design. Either way, love the kit and would love to get my hands on one soon. ❤️
This is a direct rip from the Blitz Gundam. The way the claws mount on the arms, the head/torso/leg design, it's all directly derived from the Bandai MG, though it is tweaked enough that you wouldn't notice unless you looked closely. The backpack is completely unique, but I bet you could throw on the Trikeros shield on the right arm with one of the Hunt and Kill claws on the left, and you'd see the resemblance.
Here’s a tip for panel lining, if you’re gonna use those pour type pens or the tamiya liquid then do a light layer of topcoat on the kit first and once dried panel like the kit, that layer of topcoat will protect the plastic from the solvents, once that’s done you can add the decals and give it the final layer of topcoat Edit: i’ve also seen people recommending lighter oil to clean up excess panel liner, though its also been noted to dissolve lacquer paint if used too much
Supernova/ZA kits are fantastic I’ve built their take on the Deathscythe Hell and I’m currently building the Hunt & Kill. I’m loving it! They also make Zoids kits that are supposed to be great too! Especially the Berserk Fury kits they have. I have both in my backlog that I can’t wait to build.
@@havsss Either one. Because after you apply the water slide to the model, you’ll need to apply another layer of topcoat to the model to protect it anyway
This has been coming in and out of stock on MC for over a month now. I ordered it a while back and it went out of stock shortly after that, but I've noticed it in stock a couple times when I check their site, so it seems like they're getting restocks.
Hey Mechanic Gaikotsu I need help I too bought a Supernova Hunt and Kill but sadly put a little too much pressure on the hip joints connecting to the leg. Parts D-12 and D-15 snapped off and are stuck in the leg portion step 6-3. I’ve tried using a pin and extra runner parts to fix the leg but no luck because there’s just a hole in D-12 and D-15 resulting in no stability. Any advice on what I should do? Thanks
As a French viewer, really happy to see the store Rise Of Gunpla mentioned in one of your videos, another great review btw. Thanks a lot for your hard and consistent work.
Every time I see this unit it just makes me think this is an upgraded version of the blitz gundam Like how the strike freedom and the infinite Justice are upgraded versions of the Freedom and the Justice. Because this looks a 1000 times better than the nebula blitz Or the Nero blitz, Just like how the 0 gravity judge forbidden Looks a 1000 times better than the Rot forbidden gundam
This is one of the rare occasions that I built a kit before you, but yeah this thing was a treat to build. Be ultra careful with the staff piece, I broke mine when plugging in the "funnels" at the ribbed area. Trying to find someone locally to make me a metal one. Also, I would say this is a bit of an homage to Blitz Gundam. Overall bada$$ kit.
Hey Mecha Gaikotsu, did you know that Supernova has their take on Zoids as well? I've been dying to see you review more Zoids. One because your reviews are awesome and for another it'd help Zoids popularity amongst the Model building community. I'd really enjoy seeing your take on the Supernova ZA Berserk Fuhrer. Shame I didn't win this bad boy but that's ok. I just ordered two for a custom paint job idea I have.
I’m currently building this guy, it’s a lot of fun. I was getting a bit bored with gundams since I’ve built so many but this last month I’ve been building my all of my 3rd party kits and so far it’s been a breathe of fresh air. Can’t wait for my motor nuclear kits to get in👍
I'm thinking of buying the zero gravity the judge but it is quite expensive... Should i buy that model or the supernova hunt and kill since both are ranked gundarium tier?
Have you done reviews for other kits such as the Trailblazer and Redeem? I know youve done the Sky Judge; would love to see more third party kits on this channel.
Please try and review ZA Death Stinger hehe I also am experiencing the same thing with bandai not releasing enough new kits (though, my collection is waaaay smaller than yours) and stumbled upon this massive supernova version of HMM death stinger. More power to the channel!
Do find a way to get your hands on a Knight of Dark/Night Sky! Super cool kit that's totally original as well. It does come with a plastic inner frame, but the thing has so many cool articulation gimmicks and poses up a storm!
Huh, those "shield" thingiws with the yellow parts flipped reminds me of the Red Frame Kai's buster sword in bow mode. Maybe they can be used as bows and the grabby things as the projectiles, idk.
the decal sure are veryy thin, but theyre the most durable decal i ever had, like gripped the plastic with the decal and slipped many times but the decal still intact
previously they was call"super nova" , redesign a series of w series gundam and become famous, especially all white preluxe wing zero custom, but now they are regroup as "SNAA",and falcon is the first product totally design by them, a new start over
the amount of supplementary parts and action base is what I like from Super Nova but their plastic quality I feel is softer than that of bandai's. I really hope they have improved these original designs (please correct me if i'm wrong) Bandai! please include an action base on your kits.
thank you so much for the review, i decided to bought it and it is actually really really cool and the most important thing is it's quite fun to build, but yeah few parts keep falling off so cementing is the best choice. edit : and also be careful while building it cause those pointy parts could seriously get u hurt xD
Too many comments to look through, but I just found out the hands (wrist ball joint) fit pretty well into the funnel-type things (9-4 in the instructions). Rocket punch?!?
I love his kit, my only gripe a very minor. The undersides of the backskirt and some of the shoulders are all clear purple and wish it was a separate part instead
This kit's more of a RE/100 build with more of an external detail as an MG and looks more of a Blitz/DeathScythe Metal Build knockoff but 1/5 taller. Plastic Runner's recipe is much harder and wouldn't suggest using a God Hand nipper for cutting out the gates as it might break that expensive tool. Maybe you can use the GodHand nipper for the nubs. Also it's too damn sharp just like Daban's 8812/8814 MB Astray Red Frame and Dragon Momoko's MB Destiny. Love that it has 3 spare V fins. Anyways I'm going to see if I can make a spare Destiny's Silhouette Striker backpack as this kit can pass off as a Destiny KO. Will probably get another one of this kit just so i can kitbash the parts with my other builds.
I almost get sisquede vibes with the shape and the backpack...give it a monoeye and color it mkII or titans and call it the 1/100 version to the only made in cross silhouette sisquede oh and give it that big gun
That opening bit about the lack of new releases this year, like only the modified reprints of the ancient Dom, reminds me that HGUC has only ONE release this year, that being the HGAC Shenlong. If another HGUC was coming then we'd have heard of it by now. New retail releases are becoming pathetically scarce which concerns me.
Love your content and I just found this kit on the website currently out of stock not sure I don’t read or speak French so I’m just guessing based off it saying Rupture de stock.
