When I was in 2nd grade I got my first kazoo and it looked exactly like that (it was plastic with a metallic purple) and I didn’t know how it worked and thought the plastic stuff was packaging and keeping it from playing so I took it off. A year later I realized that you pretty much have to hum in it and the plastic is what makes the noise. I was never able to get another kazoo again after my first time because it was considered a waste of money so rip me ever being able to play a kazoo
