this is the wackiest deck I've ever seen (Slay The Spire) 

Omniscience run was wacky. I think you tunnel visioned a bit on the Plated Armor aspect of Wish though, since with Ragnarok, you'd immediately get the payout of boosted strength.

Seeing NL get close to ascension 20 makes me hyped for the "Ranking all Watcher cards" video

Hey NL, I think you got tunnel visioned on playing all your rares as soon as possible. Instead of wasting an omniscience on a defend and the dangerous battle hymn when your draw pile was so small, waiting a turn for your deck to be shuffled could have reset your deck and maybe allowed you to do something like the classic double wish setup. Still way better than I could have done though and I’m loving the content!

NL: "tbh I don't think we wanna draw beta here" Me: "Why the hell not?!?" NL: "Why wouldn't you wanna draw beta here, you absolutely want to draw beta here" *PROCEEDS TO DRAW BETA*

NL: "I want to win severely" Me: *looks at timestamp* 😬

Omniscience is such an amazing card and the chain was wild. It was like one card away from being unbeatable.

Man, level 18 ascension is some seriously difficult. Respect the grind!

I do think this could have been a win. Omniscience Is good, but it doesn't HAVE to be played first, and while it's good when used on itself, it isn't always the best idea. Case in point, because you played all 3 at once vault was exhausted and you were forced to double a basic defend. If you played deva > miracle > reach heaven, you would have taken 12, but you would have more energy and could used Omniscience on a better card.

Omniscience into Wish into 8 Strength into Eruption into Ragnarok kills almost everything

NL, it was a throw: you focused on playing the Omniscience chain without thinking it through and ended up wasting it.

NL why did you tunnel vision on the plated armor so much? The extra strength of wish could have been so much better in a lot of spots Like omniscience -> omniscience + wish -> eruption + Ragnarok. You pick strength off the wish, that’s 17+34 damage on the eruptions, then 26 damage 10 times, most enemies would have died from that. Granted you didn’t get that chance against the boss, but come on my boi

Can't help but feel that Omniscience with all those pressure points could have been interesting. eruption + sands of time both doubled, probably nets you free kills early as well. still wacky as heck. that was enjoyable

I feel like I barely catch up with everything going on in this game but, it's really satisfying to watch! I really enjoy all the ways you can build a deck.

Double Omniscience is truly incredible. The Alpha/Beta/Omega run also showed a LOT of promise.

NL, I think you get too tunnel visioned on doing the same thing every fight. It happened with alpha and it happened on the last fight with omniscience. Just because you have a combo of cards, or a powerful card, doesn't mean it'll work on every fight. You need to be able to adapt, to have options

The omniscience tunnel vision on the lost boss fight was kinda rough. I still loved watching every minute.

Vault does not work well with Omniscience. The first Vault ends your turns and wipes out all queued plays, so you don't get the second Vault OR any other omniscienced card that would follow it (like the Defend in that fight near the end)

That final omniscience play was very painful for me. Still enjoy the wacky plays.

Looks like things started going down hill when you removed all those strikes from the deck. You kept drawing cards in your opening hand that you'd rather see in your draw pile with omniscience. I would have taken those pressure point cards to thicken the deck and add some damage once the omnisciences ran their course.

Hey NL, I did this recently and unfortunately it doesn't work (I thought it did as well). You can't Omniscience into Omniscience into Beta into Omega. The second Ominiscience doesn't let you choose Omega because it's not in your draw pile yet since Beta only resolves after your second Omniscience chooses it's card to Exhaust.

Dang, yeah that sucks at the end there, as someone who beat ascension 20 several times, I feel you undervalue incremental damage/stat boosts, fasting is incredibly powerful even without having a surplus of energy if you make use of 0 cost cards, that along with Kunai and Shuriken can win you the run based on that alone

Okay NL i gotta ask and I promise am not trying to be a troll: 22:45 what was the thought process behind wanting to keep 6 cards in your deck giving you a chance to not draw Beta versus having 5 cards in deck and guaranteeing the beta draw? I can think of at least 4 different things that would have probably confused me in this exact situation, but I don’t know which one got you >.

A promising title

Good gaming NL but I think you need to still trust yourself more in the early game to get ahead. Here you played wish doubled a lot and you probably should have mostly used it for getting gold and only used its combat capabilities in elite and harder encounters. Think omniscience x3 -> Wish x2 (Gold Gold or Gold Strength) -> Eruption x2 -> Ragnarok . This wipes most floor fights plus gets you gold first turn. Omniscience runs and watcher runs in general should feel a little like you're cheating in that way .
