i found sunnyv2 from recommendations cuz i loved people like j aubrey's video essays and became a fan of his he slowly turned more and more clickbait-y and i noticed some concerning vocabulary and misgendering on his end but i dismissed it as just a mistake (spoiler: it was not a mistake, glad i got bored of his low effort content before this happened)
I started feeling weird about hin after he called depression a mindset and was harping on skydoesminecraft for their depression equating it to a phase and fault (this was before sky was ouyed as a fucking creep)
Ben, i only started listening to ur podcast a few months ago but every wednesday i sit down and read and listen to this podcast. i love that your not afraid to state your opinion and on many occasions you’ve made me laugh but i just wanted to say ur podcast gets me through the week and i appreciate you and all you do for your subscribers 💜
If you’re dating someone who comes out as trans, that’s usually not gonna be the reason you ever split. It’s not like being trans is gonna completely change who you are. I used to be lesbian, but then my partner came out as a trans guy but he’s still the same guy I fell in love with so I just decided to stop using the lesbian label for myself and kinda just any labels in general. Then I came out as trans too and same thing he didn’t care. Coming out as trans doesn’t mean you’re a completely different person, it doesn’t mean all your friends will suddenly hate you, and it’s not gonna ruin your relationships. People were also saying shit like “oh tuckers gonna have a terrible life now without a father figure.” He still has a father figure, that father figure just isn’t a cisgender male. It just makes me so frustrating how ignorant people can get regarding trans people
Well I’m not going to have my girlfriend be trans because they are not REAL women. It is unnatural to be trans and is feeding into their delusion so even though they have the same personality their body and their mind are not how they should be.

@zekester3869 I understand where you're coming from, but sometimes people have preferences regarding gender and it can be very painful because even though you respect their identity and still love them, some people lose romantic/sexual attraction. It's important to respect it though even though it's hard. Of course if someone is disgusted by their partner after finding out they're trans, they are a toxic person but I'm just saying not all relationships are like that with trans issues.

What I'm saying is that sometimes, even though people still love their partner who came out as trans their personal preferences prevent them form wanting to be in a romantic or sexual relationship with them. I am not saying that there aren't assholes out there who will dump people for no reason other than them being trans, those people clearly didn't have healthy feelings to begin with. I'm trying to remain civil because I know being rude isn't beneficial, but I can tell you're uneducated by saying that every relationship is the same.

Those people are pretty loud in the wrong ways, but I do not believe in cancel culture. Each platform has a certain right to uphold TOS and the attacks on Chris may fall under that I am not completely sure, case by case kinda thing. We also have to be careful not to overstep its always better to inform a community with words and facts, then with "shutting them up" I am a big fan of freedom of speech. Obviously radical positions on both sides can lead to issues tho.

I was subscribed to him until this video on Chris Tyson. His videos were beneficial to me because I liked the editing style and it taught me a lot about youtube's history. But after this, I left a comment on that video, said I used to be a fan, but not after this, and unfollowed, unsubbed, have not watched any of his vids since. I found him through skeppy, and I don't even think I should've given the guy a chance seeing as skeppy did not promote him in any way and literally just responded to the hateful vid he made on skeppy. I'm very glad a lot of people are becoming aware of his toxic platform and I'm sad that I ever supported the guy but in the end I think it's okay because I have voiced my opinion once, concisely and left the community.

@@OrthoKarter i wasn’t making a direct comparison i was using the worst case scenario to prove a point. i’m not saying that what he was doing was “hatecriming” im saying that people of all minorities get hate crimed everyday, or get judged and talked badly about just bc of their skin colour or how they wanna present themselves or who they love, a lot of people kill themselves everyday bc of that stuff, they get excluded, they get made to feel less than etc. so if they could chose to be “normal”, if it was actually at all a choice then i’m pretty sure at least most of those people would choosing to be just that. you can hide as much as u want but if u don’t feel the way u present you’ll never be truely happy which is why a lot of people would rather take the risk and be themselves so they can be actually happy then to be miserable for the rest of their lives just to please other people.

I do feel bad for al the backlash on Chris. He's an adult and if he wants to take hrt then let him. I don't think it should accessible to kids until more research comes out (my opinion) , but he's a grown adult and he's not hurting anyone.
but enough research has been done is the thing. hrt had to be approved by multiple world-wide and national medical groups which is why its allowed to be sold in pharmacies. If there was any research that showed it had long lasting negative side effects (aside from some people being allergic to certain parts of the hormones which is possible with any medication) it literally would not be legal to buy. Also you cannot get hrt as a kid. You can get hormone blockers WITH adult consent which are completely reversible but as for hrt in most places you have to be 18 or 16 with parent consent. Do your research, please.

I'm not transphobic and I don't watch SunnyV2 but I saw the Joe Bartolozzi reaction to it live and he makes some very good points about the video. I feel like SunnyV2 usually makes good videos, but made a lot of sloppy points this time instead of actually doing his research. I think people need to stop being straight up negative, but instead making good points. I don't think there's any problem with Chris at the moment, he's not even pushing the whole trans thing that much (but if he would it still doesn't matter). There are some points to be made, but a lot of them are just transphobic.
Hey ben this is my drama, basically I don’t want to go to uni cause I feel like there is nothing I really want to study and I don’t want it to be a waste of my time/money. I would much prefer to go on a gap year then maybe do an apprenticeship or something similar even though all my friends and most people in my year are going to uni. Whenever I mention not going to uni at school I feel like everyone judges me for it, and it makes me worried that im not making the right decision. My dad also really wants me to go to uni and he thinks that he has wasted his money on my education for me not to go to uni. What do you think I should do?

I myself am raised in a Christian household, and I can tell you it took me so much self loathing and hatred towards myself to learn, you cannot pray the gay away. I've TRIED. To the people saying gay is a sin, or an abomination, that you should pray it away; you are the reason that so many took their lives. You are the reason so many people dislike Christians. Tell me, what verse/book/scripture in the bible says that gay or trans is wrong? Is it the one that was removed? Is it? It was removed for a reason. Being trans ftm I hate him am, it's just disgusting to come after some one you barely know because they feel more comfortable as the opposite gender of which they were born of, or feel uncomfortable being the gender which you were assigned at birth. I feel, even if I'm being biased, that people should be aloud to feel as if they want to be the opposite gender without being absolutely demolished and attacked by some guy on the internet that was probably raised in a house that believed in the boy things, girl things rule. i think the main reason you’re thinking this way is because of a lack of understanding of the lgbtq+ community (i’m so sorry if this comes off as condescending, i really am just trying to give genuine advice). if you’re genuinely confused and want to understand better, i’d recommend looking at videos from gender non-conforming people to learn more about the topic! i know people coming out can often seem very sudden or out of the blue, and it feels hard to adjust or understand why they made that decision, but listening to actual gender non-conforming people can help a lot! i hope this clears up any confusion about the topic :)
