I was sad when they discontinued it but i understand after reading why. Apparently it was costing them too much money for each episode and the audience wasn't there
I mean, this is a documentary so it's not even remotely in the same category. It also is only focused on one particular suspect. They just aren't even in the same dimension to be comparable.
Yes, I am aware that this is a documentary, and not a remake or cinematic adaptation of the Zodiac story. But the film was already so informative, and the details of the events were presented so concisely, that although it'd be a mistake to rely on the film for accurate recounts of events, I really don't think there's anything about the Zodiac story that hasn't already been expressed in the film.
Maybe ppl you know didnt watch it but millions upon millions loved the show and Netflix was down for season 3 but Fincher wanted to move on to other things. You like to just say things and not even know what you're talking about, don't you? @saintcarreyett
Netflix, how could you let a masterpiece like Mindhunter slip through the cracks? This show redefined the psychological crime genre with its gripping storytelling, exceptional acting, and deep dive into the minds of serial killers. It has a dedicated fanbase craving more of the dark brilliance that no other series delivers. Mindhunter is not just a show-it’s a work of art. Bring it back and give your audience the quality content we deserve!
TBF Netflix never canceled Mindhunter, it was Fincher who ultimately put the project on indefinite hold and up to him alone to officially bring it back or not.
Rumor was the third season would feature the BTK story, which never really took off cause they had problems with David Fincher. Now, Ryan Murphy (Dahmer and the Monsters- Menendez brothers) is promising to work on after his next project ( Ed Gein).
The scene where he goes into the basement to look around for some reason gave me the most uneasy feeling I ever felt watching a movie ever. You’re right. That movie is a true masterpiece!
@@Atomykpimp OMG yes this scene is sooooo NOT comfort material 😅 Anyway always happy to talk with fans of this film of 2007 that is so good it can easily compare to the gems of the seventies !!! 🥰😎👍
@@StephenDedalus74 I wanted to come back and say. The actor was Charles Fleischer in the scene who owned the house and I remember him as a kid from Welcome Back Kotter and the voice of Roger Rabbit. I couldn’t think of his name. But kudos to him for such amazing acting. I am looking forward to this special too and but the movie to me again is a true work of art and brought out the very best of every actor. Yes this case is very haunting and fascinating and will watch anything that will bring this case hopefully a step closer to being solved.
You gotta go visit the two Murder locations the one in Vallejo and one in San Francisco so eerie really gives you an idea especially after reading the book
Why TF would you make ANOTHER documentary about the Zodiac and he's still hasn't been identified or captured. It makes no sense. A documentary about a THEORY is a waste of time.
Come on how many more people need to beg you Netflix - just bring back Mindhunter - please!!!! I can only watch 2 seasons so many times. It’s the best show on the channel and a travesty to have stopped it after 2 seasons.
Surviving victim Bryan Hartnell interacted with Arthur Leigh Allen at the Ace Hardware store in Vallejo where Allen worked and said “he is NOT the guy” that attack him and Cecelia.
I support each of these comments. Bring back MindHunter and David Fincher as director, please!!! Support and take care of Mr. Fincher's work. It is not an easy task to carry out a project of such magnitude.
Attached to the extras for Fincher's film was a documentary called This is the Zodiac Speaking. It's eerie and quite well done. Hopefully this measures up to that and Netflix's Night Stalker series. Meanwhile, I also loved Mindhunter and want to see it return, but fans need to realize that there were apparently a lot of issues according to people involved-- it was really expensive for the size of audience it got, Fincher had a full schedule, production issues, and others.
Thank you for this production, it was so thrilling playing Connie in this documentary! I had fun on set with all the lovely actors and can’t wait to see more like this. Hope everyone enjoys the show! hehehehaw❤
Paul Doerr was the guy. Just like Unabomber was caught because his writing style and way of think were unique to him like a fingerprint, Doerr is the guy that matches the best Zodiac's psyche
Exactly. Arthur Lee Allen was cleared by DNA a few years ago anyway. Authorities were finally able to get a partial profile from a stamp on one of the known Z letters and test it against one of Allen’s family members. No match.
I've watched just about everything on the Zodiac Killer, I got a book or two written about him, got that movie poster and even got a magazine about him. I cannot wait to watch this.
You gotta visit the two spots well there’s technically three near the Bay Area but I’ve been two two the one at lake Herman and cherry and Washington in sf so trippy
@@freedom_rock18 I'm from Canada and the only time i ever visited the USA was just to go there on vacation and back home. Won't be going to some place where people got murdered.
Definitely going to watch this, and I'd put a request in for Mindhunter, too, but if David Fincher isn't going to do it regardless - it seems he's left no "reason" unturned - then apparently it doesn't really matter how many people are clamoring for it. But, that's Fincher for you - he gave up on the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" series after one movie, too. Rat basard. **Sigh**
How many zodiac killer documentaries, docuseries, specials, books do we need. Zodiac is one of my favorite serial killer, but enough is enough. So many good potential serial killers outthere and we keep recycling the same ones.
I appreciate your other things Flix!! But you cant just get away without finishing MINDHUNTER .You can't keep getting away with it.(insert "Breaking bad" Jessie's ,"He can't keep getting away with it").
People still live with the impression that the majority of killers are caught. He was not different because he got away with it, but because he made it public.
oh, Ryan Murphy has mencioned Zodiac a lot of times in his series, even Zodiac himself shows up twice in two different circunstances and identity in American Horror Story, buddy 😂
Zodiac remains unknown. He is a smart, elusive professional killer, but I don't think he would have escaped in 2024 with the development of criminology and scientific police.
Hes not unknown. his name was in Z340 and Z408 in plain english. He escaped in 2024 because he is dead. He escaped in 2023 because he is dead. Hes an unknown. Name was not in Z13 and bomb was not in Z32.
okay why is everyone telling Netflix to bring Mindhunter back? coz show was cancelled years ago. but i'm glad everyone is doing this coz I'M MAD!!! NETFLIX BRINGS MIND HUNTER BACK!
I hope they will make a documentary like the Night Stalker. That was the best true crime documentary imo because the real detectives in the case were interviewed and told their stories through their experiences.
What catches my attention the most in this case are the suspects: Allen, Lawrence Kane, Ross Sullivan, Richard Gaikowski and Rick Marshall, it's impressive how each of them has circumstantial evidence that points to them as being the Zodiac, if you research each of them, each one will seem to be the Zodiac
