I have bought a yellow Stag in July. I rode nearly 2000 km in this time without having any problems. The last owner upgraded the engine with a new cooler and other things, so I have no problems with overheating. For me this car is perfect. I love the lines, the coulour saffrane yellow and of course the V8 Sound. It is not so showy like a mustang is, no it says ok man I musn't but I could if you would like to...
How did this fine Motorcar ended wi the invasion of far east motor industry between 1973-1977,I was in 1978 in the USA, bought my second TR7 until it was retired in 2001 in California, drove from Michigan in 6-8inches of snow to California, without any mechinial break downs.
Of course they weren't perfect, but your comment proofs that you are certainly uniformed, most British cars of the70ties suffered from the same "British Illness" strikes and bad managers. That lead to the fact that from the once famous British Motor Industry, there is nothing left today. Triumph wasn't better or more insufficient than others!
Absolutely, I wasn't just talking about Triumphs (we had Stag in the family at some point, lovely car though totally unreliable), but of the whole british motor industry, which was almost entirely british leyland. Indeed, the only british badges left today are German owned, or Indian. Sad but true.
So sweet really most of this is rubbish this film would have Stuttgart/Tokyo/Wolfsburg rolling around the isles in laughter pain I should know I own a TR6 end of the season tighten most bolts
