100% steve is bottom 5 in T8 he lost a lot of stuff in t7 and got given barely anything useful. just duck against steves you have no worries of getting launched lol

Eh he’s lacking compared to other T8 characters but if this Steve was in 7 I’d almost say he’d be solid still. But he just lost a lot of his usual CH utility and launchers so he’s a bit weak by 8 standards strong for 7

I'd say it's about even, maybe slightly worse but not by much. He lost a lot of CH utility, which is a pretty big deal. Combos are a little dumbed down as a result, but he did gain stance gimmicks with his new backdash and 50/50 clinch. Honestly the new tools dont seem as useful for higher level play, but they have saved me a few times in red/purple ranks lol. Basically it's debatable if he's worse than T7 or not, but the gap between him and other characters seems to have widened since so many characters are so much stronger in T8.

@@VermillionGates I’d say he’s worse tbh, in blues/kings so far he can’t compete without a lot of his old CH utility meaning people find more opportunities to interrupt whatever pressure he has, definitely harder to find good utility in with what little CH options he has left
