I could be wrong, but I think Charles gave you a heart for the comedian accolades. He is almost certainly aware of his other astonishing abilities. I hate to say this, but Charles doesn't inspire me like other "really great" bass players...he makes me want to quit. I mean that in a good way!

You need little individual "finger hammers" in order to tap on piano strings. It's more fun on clavinet, though, because it has a magnetic pick-up rather than having to mic it up.

if you look at charles' older original compositions, he's done a lot of studio ghibli-esque pieces before, like the cello strings video and "am i better at piano than bass", and his entire Fable EP

That bass guitar melody at the end is hauntingly beautiful in the context of the entire piece. I could practice for 100 years (if I was immortal) and not even come close to the brilliance and talent in this video.

I can't play anything. But can appreciate the dedication that has gone into your exemplary playing. I would have loved to learn an instrument. Never learnt music. And haven't really had a chance to play. Life and work got in the way. Such a joy to listen to great players.

I have listened to this many times, and each time moved by it's drama. This is a beautiful piece Charles. I do have to say, I think this could be a wonderful concert band, or orchestral arrangement. I am an amateur arranger where my work is for a small community band outside of the Denver CO metro area. I think I might want to tackle this. Could I have your blessing? I would certainly provide m work before any performance.
