Please read this comment before commenting on this video I used the title so that this video would get recommended to more people. I don't actually consider myself a master or pro at combat in any Batman: Arkham game. If you're wondering how Batman is defeating enemies in one hit: In some combat challenges in this game, like Precinct Clockwork this one and a few others, enemies will go down in one critical strike when your special combo meter is full, and if you have the upgrade from the main story that increases the amount of damage your critical strikes do when your special combo meter is full. If you're wondering how Batman is moving so fast: This game has a unique mechanic where the more critical strikes you perform perfectly, the faster your character gets, and you reach the maximum freeflow speed at around a x60 combo, but some moves like evading twice in a row or misstiming a strike will reset your freeflow speed. This feature sadly got removed on the PC version of the game, but it's still on XBOX and Playstation If you think that using variation means you're a master at combat, that's not entirely true because being a master means being very skilled at something, and you don't need to be a master or that skilled at the Arkham games to use variation. You need to be very good at the game to get a combo this high on Newton's Cradle as Batman, though, and I doubt it's something many players can do. But if you use variation and you're actually very skilled at the game, then I would say you can still call yourself a master. The Combat Challenge is called "Newton's Cradle" The character skin is "Batman Beyond" This video was recorded on PC using Nvidia shadowplay And for the people asking me to do Iceberg Lounge: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UNTWxnJhuD4.html&t Pretty unrelated to the video and comment, but if you can, please report www.tiktok.com/@araw.gaming He stole this video and many other videos without credit I'll probably update this comment in the future, if this video still gets comments frequently in a few months from now. @mer_007 The first pattison suit update removed the mechanic where you get faster the more critical strikes you perform perfectly, and then the recent update that fixed the pattison's suit shadow brought back this mechanic, but it's still slower than it was before the first pattison suit update.
What I love about this is that in theory batman could just wipe out the common thugs in this way but because it’s a video game they’ll just keep spawning in 😅
I like how hes flying all over the place destroying everyone but when a man with a shield shows up he flies over and basically pauses to tell him "nope cant be having that"
Cause the shield guys are the worsttttt. Not in difficulty, just in the fact that they force you to slow down for a second. I don’t want to slow down. Disarm everytime.
@MatthewCampbell765 batman hospitalized him for 20 years and broke his ribs maybe causing damage to his windpipe which would make it difficult to speak
That's how much this game improved from arkham city, it's so nice to see a game company improve litteraly EVERYTHING in a game sequel with it actually working out
@@saulgoodmansfingerr8527 both City and Knight are top tier combat systems, the improvements are insane. Playing asylum I felt very limited combat wise (I played knight first then Asylum now City)
And you're telling me this man lost to *checks notes* • Harley Quinn who he has beaten like five times •Deadshot which he has also beaten •king shark who is by definition just a brute but shark •and captain Boomerang Makes sense
From this video, it seems like the key is to take out goons fast enough so they don't get the time to set up something "fancy" (e.g. picking up an object or weapon, medic "charging up" a goon, etc) that tends to complicate the combat. When one or more inevitably does get something "fancy" going, use the gadget combo attack that counters the "thing" they have.
@@Unhurdov82 He probably meant that this is the best freeflow combat video on this game he has seen, and if he meant that this game has the best freeflow combat system, it is his opinion, and so is you thinking Spider-Man combat is better
@@brayane.r.2245 What’s your point? I can still fight like this against brutes and combat experts Skip to 2:55 in this video if u want proof: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JIkRXBz9CPU.htmlsi=BiuuB9yWzKYE1hnB And if you meant that you only fight basic thugs in Insomniac's Spider-Man or Batman: Arkham Knight, that is not true, and I don't even think I need to explain why.
Hit my first 100+ combo not too long ago in Arkham Knight. It felt so satisfying, it was on the Iceberg Lounge map. Finally broke 400k score on that map. I’ll try again eventually but it took me hours to get there lol.
It upsets me that modders mean that this genuine, insane score probably won’t even be in the top 10 on the global leaderboards. This is seriously impressive.
@@magnolt it’s funny because in the comics, Batman cleans up his rogues gallery and fucking gets his back broken by Bane cuz he can’t fight anymore. THIS Batman be like: Been there done that.
I’ve gotten all the achievements of this game, including “Requiem for a Killer”, which takes skill. I know I’m good at this game, but you my man, are definitely Batman.
I'll still never understand how the average thug thinks they could take THIS guy on. If I were to face Batman, I'd rather break my own bones, like damn.
Numbers make you overconfident, and the common thug thinks the stories about Batman are blown out of proportion. That said, those last few thugs remaining near the end of combat are brave to keep fighting instead of running away. Could be they fear consequences from their bosses more than they fear pain and hospital visits.
@@MoonArkham may I ask what do I do when the enemy starts having that yellow indicator in their head then starts chopping me like nothing..... couldn't parry it nor dodge
@@kyojurorengoku8899I don't really know how to explain it properly, and I think the game does a better job explaining it, but hold the joystick backwards and hold Y/Triangle.
It’s stuff like this that reminds me that Arkham Asylum (and by extension, the rest of the series) was supposed to be a rhythm game akin to Guitar Hero. While there’s obviously no quick time button prompts for each strike, every punch and target switch has a very methodical flow to it that requires a bit more than just “keep pressing X lol”.
I’d like to see you take down Pyg’s room. I use beatdown there too much but it’s fun wracking up those hits. It’s where I set all my highs because they can take so many hits. Bink, bink, bink, binkbinkbinkbinkbink BOOM ,take a seat, next?
I used the freeze blast grenade so that I could critical strike the brute without him blocking my attack and I used the rec gadget to reset the special combo meter as fast as possible (because critical strikes do less damage when your special combo meter is not full) I was also trying to be as aggressive as possible because the goal in this video is to get a high combo
I feel like the Batman Beyond suit should’ve been the canonical upgraded suit for Batman in this game. 1) It’s a perfect bridge to the suit in the Batman Beyond series 2) It’s looks more like the Arkham Knight suit which makes the imitation more impactful 3) Without the cape, his movements look more impactful - especially in combat - because there’s no thought in the back of your brain going “man, imagine if he wasn’t dragging a cape behind him.”
So general question. this is honestly the fastest I've ever seen batman strike on this game. Is there like a mod or an animation cancel that speeds up his attacks?
Before the battison suit update this game had a unique mechanic where the more critical strikes you perform perfectly, the faster your character gets and you would reach the maxium freeflow speed at a x60 combo, but some moves like evading twice in a row or misstiming a strike would reset your freeflow speed Rocksteady seems to have brought back some of the speed in the update that fixed the battison suit's shadow, but it still seems a bit slower than it was before the first battison suit update.
Any tips on actually improving on the combat of this game, I struggle so much to keep my combo going and panic and button spam when I'm about to get attacked. Maybe it is easy and I'm just that bad but any tips no matter how small would be amazing. Thanks💕 Edit: bro your combo is insane people say you just mash one button but until you've actually played the AR challenges you don't realize how good and focused you have to actually be. Good shit bro🤟
Thanks a lot But anyways I don't think it is you being bad I struggled a lot with the combat when I first started and it took me like 900+ hours of playing the arkham games to get as good as I was in this video maybe even more If you're struggling with arkham combat I recommend evading and striking from behind it's a lot less risky and a lot easier to do you should also evade if you feel overwhelmed or if you need some time to think about your next move I also recommend using disarm and destroy as much as possible against enemies with guns shock batons and shields you can also destroy the knives if you're not good at the blade dodge takedown or if you get hit by enemies with knives often you should also use your special combo takedown move against enemies like brutes armored thugs and ninjas as often as possible to get them out of the fight instantly I also recommend using the batswarm move against the Abramovici twins in Batman Arkham City and the enforcers in Batman Arkham Origins while you're doing a beatdown on them to keep other enemies stunned the batswarm is also useful for crowd control You should also use the freeze blast grenade or the glue grenade against enemies that you struggle fighting to keep them out of the fight while you focus on other enemies but once you get really good at handling multiple enemies at once without losing your combo you don't really need to use the freeze blast grenade or glue grenade If you want more tips feel free to ask but if you tell me exactly what you're struggling with it would help me a lot with what type of tips to give
@@MoonArkham Thanks bro it means a lot because I've been trying to find help for a while now so I appreciate your effort 💕. My two biggest problems are figuring out/setting up my next move and special enemies (aka brutes, armored thugs, ninjas, charging thugs, and enemies with a weapon). Lots of times I'll be taking down one thug and I'll get attacked from behind and lose my combo. I for some reason find it difficult when after I take down an enemy, to think of what my next move should be (ik I worded that weird). Like for example I'll finish off one thug and when Batman stands up i have to take a second or two to think of my next move. Back to the special enemies, the enemy types I've listed above give me the most trouble, I've gotten a little better at the brutes and shield enemies, but ninjas, shock baton, and the charging thugs are the ones that give me the most trouble. Lots of times I'll be doing somewhat decent on a combo and they'll attack me and I really don't know how to counter those 3 enemy types. I'm going to try to use glue and freeze grenades more to get them out of the fight for a bit like you've mentioned.
@@alitul666 I do think it is best to just evade if you don't know what to do and if you need time to think about your next move As for the brutes and ninjas they can be pretty hard to deal with which is why I usually just use a special combo takedown on them I recommend throwing a batarang at the charging thugs because it will instantly knock them out it is also best to use disarm and destroy on most weapons like I said you can also use the rec gadget on armored thugs to knock them down for a few seconds
I don't think y'all got it how this is impressive. He isn't spamming, he's doing perfect hit because the time you spam, the time YOU miss a counterattack, the combo is gone.
Hello bro, great excellent video but I have a question, how do I make a fluid combo. I also try to do as in the video but every time I dodge or do a blow in the air the counter is set to zero and I don't know how to make a fluid combo. Please explain to me.
@@MoonArkham LOL yes it is true I am also restarting the game every so often but you know what is the funniest thing that when I repeat them little by little my performance drops but if I do it the first time on a day in which I did not repeat my game I win. Maybe thanks to your videos I'm getting 3 stars, thank you
