Fun fact: Did you know in almost every other previous iterations, Batman wasn't actually able to glide? He was only able to traverse via his ninja techniques, his grappling hook, and various other equipments. Batman gliding wasn't popularized until in Tim Burton's Batman Returns movie which showed him gliding off a rooftop and Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins which also showed him gliding. But even so, there are still some recent iterations of him that still don't have the ability to glide (The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Hush, JLU, BvS, The Batman 2004, The Batman 2022, etc.). Batman gliding wasn't really a thing until the 1990s-2000s. His cape was mostly just used for concealment.

This doubly fits since he's at his most violent and antisocial in Arkham Knight, and when he looks like this in the DCAU he is particularly grumpy and closed off. It's like poetry, it rhymes.
