The small tub and dipper will be available in the next game pack. Or maybe EA will even try for another expansion pack if people keep giving them more ideas like yours. They just need to establish a theme related to these ideas, give the expansion pack a nice name and a $40 price tag. 🤦♀️🤦♀️😂 All EA jokes aside, I really like how you made this small tub and dipper. I was VERY impressed with how you used that snowy escape fountain/tap, isolated only the flowing water and created your hunk for it to flow out of, making it truly authentic.
You say must which means has to but I wouldn't mind universal diversity of everything I might not Plat the sims but I watch it sometimes and I think adding stuff from other country's that we don't use nessisarily is amazing to inform us Americans abt stuff
@@angelie.elenaa I wouldn't use the word 'rarely'. Yes, squat toilets are becoming more and more obsolete but we can still find many of them as well as normal toilets in various gas stations, especially outside of Bangkok and other major provinces.
Random question: if youre on a squat toilet at a gas station, do you go to the toilet with your shoes on? Isn‘t there a risk to on your shoes? I only know those toilets from beaches, thats why I ask 😅
@@hhh1234h Nor European. Both Italy and Portugal have a mandatory-bidet bathroom law. Basically, if it doesn't have a bidet, it's not a bathroom. It makes me upset that they're trying to put more culture in the yet don't bother to do something so simple as to add bidets

It never ceases to amaze me how much effort people put into decorating in Sims 4, it is like an art. The amount of work people put into it is amazing, especially creating new features and decoration pieces.
@@StudyGlassHealer a bidet toilet - in Argentina we have a separate bidet next to the toilets usually!! so it'd be cool if they added a separate bidet object
In the Philippines even if we use regular toilets, we use water and soap (using dipper too) to wash our behind and private parts 😊😊 then toilet paper to wipe dry. 😅
Same in Bangladesh too. No matter what type of toilet we use and basically in every household if there’s more than one bathroom, there’s usually one with higher sitting toilet and the other has to have squat toilet 😂😂
Slight tip, you can use the water tool to add water into half walls or platform rooms. It will just be super low. Edit; AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
@@BunnyDoesArtThings oh I'm sorry that wasn't what I ment to imply! I just meant that you could do it under the carpet or use it in your own build. I don't see it in the gallery a lot so I just wanted to mention it as an option.
If you shrink down any of the fountains, the water floats above them where it is in the default size one. It might be hard to do it that way, but you could maybe use that to make a basin with some of the smaller fountains that look like bird baths?
@@QwerkyFangirl yeah, but it's an unseen upgrade for the toilet. Many countries have a separate bidet for the person to use (looks like a toilet, but has a mini 'shower head' at the bottom). So it's toilet + bidet + sink + shower.
@@LivPC Exactly! Mine doesn't have a shower head, but it's definitely something they should add. And with that, please let it have some variety, it's a thing in multiple cultures and everyone deserves to feel represented instead of just this one option
In Malaysia, squat toilets are usually on a raised platform and there are water buckets near them with a tap and no tissue if it was a very traditional one. These types of toilets are usually temporary.
I'm from Indonesia, and I always used raised platform too. And usually, in my area we used a lil bit raised platform for the toilets.. Idk, it's more comfortable
This type of toilet make me wonder, if you have like a elder on your house our a disable people how you manage this situation? I just curious in my country we don’t have this type of toilet.
For some they'll use squat chair above the squat toilet (helped by their mother/other family who take care of them), or they'll use washable diaper thingy
My grandpa squats. Some of asian people squat to take dump their whole life so they used to it even when they're get really old. But for them who are no longer strong enough to squat, they could buy and use portable toilet seat, and a handle attached on the wall to hold, or their kid would build them a hybrid toilet. There's so many ways
For my father's case, his mother literally soiled herself everytime and my father must took care of the mess. It can't be helped since his mother lived in very poor and rural area and she is on her deathbed.
In Russia we hate squad toilets. To be fair, it’s not even a toilet, it’s a hole in the floor. You can’t flush it, it’s in public spaces and usually super dirty. That’s the closest we have to the squat toilet. Or something public restrooms so dirty some girls squat in the regular toilet… they don’t want to touch it with their skin. It’s really interesting how different our experience with squat toilets is!
I am from Russia too but I hate ordinary toilets in public places, because I NEVER sit on it. Do you….? I prefer square toilets and wish they were everywhere
You can find these mostly in old houses in rural areas in Malaysia. But since certain Malaysia states are prone to having water distribution issues, we would fill up a big basin or those black trash bin with water as a temporary measure. It would be nice if EA have that as an alternative to those who lives in apartments. More realistic that way.
Mixed culture family. American and Pakistani. When in Pakistan, Turkish toilets (squat toilets) are very common. Toilet paper is actually expensive and sold one role at a time. Water is provided via either a water pitcher or a bidet gun (aka Muslim shower). My husband will usually get a roll of toilet paper for me for drying. When in the States, we have the western toilets and still use a Muslim shower and dry with toilet paper.
Oh wow. I did not know this. I knew about the toilets. But the tub is something new I just learned. It would've been perfect to add it to the game. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
You have water, and soap this is solution, and I believe your butt and hand clean and hygienist, I use paper toilet for the first time, and my butt itchy, and I don't use paper toilet again
We have squat toilets here in Russia too. There are still some in children's summer camps and several public places (old ones mostly). Also☝🏼👀 I remember having squat toilets in kindergarten and primary school. They are now gone ✨👌🏻 but they live in my memories and bring the nostalgia
Malaysia usually have pails! The small tubs usually are in the shower (but most of the times we have small tubs next to the squatting toilets because we shower there as well
In mos of Italian places where there's a squat toilet we have little shower like thing attached to the walla next and soap to clean after you do your things😊

They could've included horses in Cottage Living. The "gameplay" in Horse Ranch is more about taking care of the ranch and the horses (like taking care of the farm and the animals in Cottage Living) They were definitely selling the idea that Horse Ranch was about training your horses and entering them into competitions. Yet, the training consists mostly of just riding your horse around the barrels, going in circles, or riding your horse for hours through the beautiful, remote landscape. After HOURS and DAYS of dedication to level up your horse's skills, it was all worth it. Because it's time for the riding competition! BRILLIANT gameplay- you and your horse will compete with townies and their horses! Heading to the Equestrian Center, SO much exciteme- what-the-hell. My sim and horse went inside, and I can't watch the competition. I spent HOURS riding my horse to train it for THIS and I can't compete or even see SHIT!
@@jessicalynn6285Thats why I pirate the packs theyre doing way too fucking much just to squeeze our money, some of the packs should be in the base game cause what the fuck
Ya, I remember them from holidays there in the 80ies. It was always stressful for me to go on them as a German child but only because i was not used to it.
In Brazil pretty much all bathrooms (in homes) have a little hose with a shower head that attaches to the side of the toilet so you can clean yourself after you do your business. Wish they had this option in the game too!

In Ukraine we don't have a tub next to the squat toilet, since most of the time these are found in public restrooms in bus stops or train stations (mostly in old school and university buildings as well). So we kinda have to use tissues 😅
Thing is with a squat toilet it would likely not take so much time. Google "Is a squat toilet healthy?" Results look like this: " (Sikirov, 2003). Other studies have shown that adopting a squat position when pooing lowers abdominal pressure, suggesting this position requires less effort for bowel emptying (Tashiro et al, 2020)."
If I'm not on my phone while pooping I concentrate far too much on the pooping part that it disturbes the flow. When I'm focused on smth on my phone my subconscious body reflexes do the thing quick and easy @@QuarantineDreams
We use bidet sprays here and many of us use both bidet spray and toilet paper. I don't understand how people can only use toilet paper to clean themselves in most of the countries.
Exactly! And some ppl have the nerves to call ppl who use water DIRTY and/or DISGUSTING🙄 i cant imagine the smell of that butthole years of not being cleaned with water🤢🤢
Great! Finally someone who make n explain what true SEA toilet is. Also in Malaysia idk other country, we put squat toilet in slightly higher platform than the rest of the bathroom
@@raisha99 yeah, same here, even slightly modern house got bidet. going to public toilet where u need to "cebuk" the water from the tub is hella annoying 😂
@@jyunsouya4798i feel you. Idk how imma finish my business if I have to "mencebok" my ass directly from the tub with the "gayung"?! Forever grateful foe bidets😭😭
My country doesn't have squat toilets. I wish they did though because they're healthier and more natural. I love the little water basin next to it! I usually use baby wipes but I'm thinking about buying a bidet
I live in place where squat toilet is common and I can assure you the health benefits is not that worthed it. If your health is fine with sitting toilet you don't really need squat toilet. The only thing the west did wrong with their toilet is they use paper instead of water gun/bidet + soap to wipe their butt.
in the Philippines, we don't use squat toilets but we don't use tissue too we wash 'em clean you know what hehe... a pail, dipper, and soap is a must-have.. recently though most toilets have bidets. maybe EA should also put a bidet
Yep in France too (even if it’s rare now), we still have them in south France and in old houses or old apartments. In fact, I think it’s really good and practical for hygiena as a woman.
My grandmother lives in China. Her tiny apartment has a main area, a kitchen, a bathroom, a washing machine, two bedrooms, one front balcony and one back balcony. Her bathroom has a squat toilet, and only a squat toilet. The water from the kitchen sink and bathroom sink flows down the toilet drain. She also has a little bucket filled with water and a little cup to scoop out water. That apartment is said to have been built at the beginning of the reform-and-opening-up policy, so late 70s or early 80s. At the time, it would have been luxurious to see a two-bedroom home. Now, it's a piece of rotting shit. The woods are badly discolored and peeled. The walls are peeled and torn.
In Morocco, it's rare to find squat toilets, they're only in older houses. My grandma has a squat toilet and a normal one, basically there's a tap, a small bucket and some toilet paper, firstly you fill up the bucket with water then you wash your butt, and then you wipe with toilet paper so it's nice and dry! Then you wash your hands with soap and that's it. It's a lot more hygienic to use water to wash off the basteria, and plus when you squat down it's easier to do your needs
In Korea, there were many squat toilets in public places and there was always only toilet paper. Sometimes there was no toilet paper, so many people carried tissues with them. Now most toilets have been converted to Western style and toilet paper is provided. Some have bidets, but most people only enjoy the warmth of the heated bidet seat in the winter.
Those toilets give me so much anxiety in real life. I saw them in poor countries or gas stations. I am happy we have toilets to sit on here in the Netherlands. And unless I build a cheap camping spot for the sims, I will never force them to have these toilets as well. The game is out now for a while and I haven't even used or tried these toilets for the sims 😂 I just can't..
I've always been slightly jealous for squat toilets. The posture is natural. I would use one in a heartbeat. Although, I do like that the western toilets are easier for wheelchair people
Maybe instead of worrying about that they should actually fix the gameplay and bugs in the game. Maybe add actual working activities and expansion packs.
In Ukraine this type of toilets is often you can see in old grandma house in village. And also in some old poor gas stations, or commune houses. And also it is a nightmare in some old schools😂
I remember seeing this toilet in college (Russia). The ladies' room contains stalls with the toilet itself, a flush switch in the form of a pipe and toilet paper. Sometimes there were moments when there wasn't enough toilet paper - either they didn't have time to put it in yet, or there was none at all. At the same time, the sinks are there. Not very convenient, to be honest. On the other hand, it’s better than the village analogue of the “hole” and the paid one that is in the blue booths. Fortunately, more decent toilets have appeared, especially in the "More" ("Sea") shopping center - it looks like a luxury hotel room in which you would like to live.
In Bangladesh, we don't have that. We have modern plumbing with the squat toilets, like handheld showers. In rural areas, people will use a very special pot which functions like a watering can, to clean ourselves.
Ah it makes so much sense we have them in some gas stations in Europe and they are always so dirty, so it's because we don't have small tube. Usually they are in a enclosed space with just enough room for them and nothing more so yeah I'll let you imagine
Why is the squat toilets in the bathroom? In Turkey, they are designed as a separate room, just for squat toilet and a tiny sink. You enter there with a separate pair of slippers, it is not hygienic for barefoot. And there is a normal bathroom where you can shower and also have a toilet. You can't shower in a room with a squat toilet. It's not hygienic
Here to say the same thing. We have these type of toilets in a seperate tiny room with a small tap on the side, and we have the actual bathroom with a normal toilet.
Pipes. For squat toilets in Malaysia, there are pipes or bidets that have extension from the wall. Squat toilets tended to be separated from the shower room or the bathroom.
Omg love this so much! Back in the early days, Malaysia have these water tanks to store water for showers. Some are built next to the squat toilet or a separate shower area from the toilet. Ah memories.
I'm 54 yrs old and I've only seen a squat toilet in my country once in my life, it was a public bathroom. So this is very good to know and I appreciate the information, thank you!
My grandmother's house has a whole tub in the bathroom it's kinda accurate😅. Also the toilet was on an elevation in case you want to go the western way. For old people with joint problems
When I visited Japan in 2007 there were quite a few squat toilets, but my mother seemed used to them. So I asked and apparently they were kind of common in Norway until the 70s..!
