Aside from not knowing how to pronounce John Huston's name (no excuse) you're also wrong about her being "in demand" after Annie. Actually the exact opposite happened. She was stuck under a contract for a bunch of Annie sequels that never happened, that's why she didn't appear in another film for several years and could only do commercials. Really, do your research.
That’s good at least, child stars rarely survive mentally and sometimes even die, but it looks like she turned out fine and normal for the most part due to not being overly saturated
Children should be exempt from the "Golden Raspberries";it's more difficult to laugh things off when you're younger & it's just mean-spirited to include them :-(
@@Scottsteaux63 My brother was a child actor & while it really wasn't his "calling" so to speak he would've been hurt if someone gave him an award for Terrible Acting but it would've also hurt my parents since, as you might know, when something negative happens to your child,u feel it too..Btw,have u actually MET any child actors? Maybe some are like that but its bcuz they're often expected to act like an adult so it makes them act a bit more mature ( on the surface anyway.. )
Back in the early 90s I was eating at a restaurant in NJ with my family when our waitress came over, and I knew immediately it was Aileen. She was so nice and gave me her autograph. Even movie stars have to have regular jobs once in a while. :)
What's up like instead of saying “I took a nap and went to the store for eggs” They’d say “I woke up from a nap, I looked up at the clock, feeling dizzy, it had been 2 pm, I got up off the couch, and dragged myself to the kitchen, my stomach was grumbling, I was hungry for food. Maybe a sandwich? Well, I was in the mood for eggs and toast. I opened the fridge door, and to my surprise, no eggs. My heart crushed, my stomach growled louder, I put on shoes and ran to my car. On the way to the drive, I saw: Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, Verizon, a bar, a hoagies shop, the mall, five below, Walmart, and finally, shop rite. I parked my car, but it was all the way in the back, so the walk was treacherous. I got into the store, and the gush of air conditioner wind hit my face, it was an amazing feeling. I was in the fruits section, so I scurried down to isle 9, the eggs. They had so many kinds! Oh what to choose? Brown, white, quail, so many, I decided to try the white eggs, as I always done before. I speeded through aisles to get to the checkout, it was such a long wait. Finally, I placed my egg carton down, the 12 pack of course, and waited for the price. $16.54 what a bargain! The cashier lady smiled at me, I smiled back, then she put the egg carton in a shoprite bag, and handed it to me. I walked out the doors and took the long walk back to my car. The traffic was horrible. I must have waited 20 minutes before seeing that beautiful green light! When I got to the house, I parked my car in the driveway, and walked inside with the eggs. I carefully unpacked them, and grabbed one egg. The rest was put in the fridge. I then grabbed 2 pieces of toast and put them in the toaster. Finally, I grabbed the egg and cracked it on the pan, watching the goo ooze out, while the yolk sit in a packed bubble. I threw the egg shells in the trash, and flipped the egg over. Making a perfect runny egg. After a few seconds, the toast was done and I ever so carefully put them on a plate. The egg was done as well, and I gracefully put it onto one piece of toast, and poked the top, watching the yolk run down the toast. I walked the plate to the dinner table, and took my first bite. It had tasted like heaven beyond! After the fulfilling lunch, I sat down on the couch, and watched some TV.”
I remember watching that movie in the theater when I was only 19 years old. She sure has grown up. She still has a lot of talent. Great movie. The musical was great also.
She looks like a healthy adult not like the Olsen twins. The boy that played the main character in The pelican died of an overdose as an adult. So many childstars that we grew up watching I always wonder what happened to rheny

Little red headed orphan Annie, I loved this when I was a kid. I always thought the story was about a little orphan from Ireland. I think I was 7 when the movie came out. What a voice the kid had.
Back in the seventies, I played Annie in our local theatre group ..I was twelve pretending to be younger I recall how tiring it was to do it every night for four weeks during my summer vacation . I had to have two nights understudied 'cause I lost my voice , but I swear that girl was far better than me, bless her , they should have used her instead! Hats off to all the girls who worked so hard at this role ! So to all those Annie's , hats off to you
My mom took me to go and see this movie when this first came out I was only 11years old ..... I have the little Annie doll some clothes with Annie on it and book on it , I remember my mom bought me the magazine of the movie a lot of stuff in there about the movie I still have it ,I even have the movie on DVD I still enjoy it I am 46 years old big kid at heart🙂🎵
I was a year older than Aileen Quinn, and I could not get enough of this movie. Back in the day when all movies were made into books and vice versa, I even had the Annie paperback novel of the movie. I wish I still had it!
Lucky! I didn’t know there was a doll. I had two t-shirts and a school bag but Mum eventually threw them out 😢. I found the book illustrated with pictures from the movie at a very crowded book sale some years ago and absolutely swooped on it, I think I would have knocked people to the floor if they tried to grab it!
Desiree - My daughter Windi is the exact same age as you . And she loved Annie also ! I paid a friend to make her the one piece bloomers she wore for exercise in the movie. They had Annie clothes patterns . She looked so cute in them . Blessings from California . 🧵 💝 We love you Mrs. Hannagin !!
That is funny you though that . Maybe because she was a Tomboy . When my granddaughter was small we drove by a residence with a lovely Nativity display in the window. My granddaughter said Oh look, it’s Baby Girl Jesus ! My grandson and I looked at each other in shock and started busting up ! Sorry Jesus . 👼 🐑 🐪 🐪 🐪
I was browsing online and found this was made quite recently! This is so interesting, I knew Aileen would live an amazing life. I currently play Pepper in Annie Jr. at my school, and I decided to do some Annie-related research
Aileen Quinn....was a very special kid. In her age range and for her time she was one of the most talented kid leads I've ever seen and when you see her interviewed she comes across as the most humble and wisest kid in the business
Wow! What an amazing actress! I watched Annie for the first time when i was in 2nd grade. My school even put on a play for that movie. It was awesome. Cant wait to watch the new version of annie released not too long ago!
She sure did a fantastic job playing in Annie. She sure turned into a beautiful woman. I am glad that she has a great music career and is doing well. Annie was a great movie 👍 and still is. Thank You for posting this 👍.
Fun fact: my dad actually went to high school with the girl who played Molly. I swear to God I’m not lying LOL. It’s weird because he said that she had friends, but she wasn’t like popular anything
I seem to remember after the movie Annie, she was still about 11. She was on I think Andy Williams Christmas show. She sang a duet Christmas song. I can not remember the song and it may have a different Show, all I know is that i remember it was beautiful. Wish i could find that clip
I like all versions of Annie including last version with Jamie Fox. We use watch lot movies in music class when I was growing up. I remember watching Popeye not animated. And other movies. anything musical
Brings back so many memories of jumping on my Parents bed and listening to the record singing 🎤 on the top of my lungs the sun will come out tomorrow and my older sister screaming make it stop already...Lol
1:53 I didn't know that was her! This was one of my favorite movies back in the day. Lol I'm so about to watch it again with my kids! Side note: after this clip. Lol
You know how children always have a movie that they become obsessed with and drive their parents crazy because they have to watch it everyday? That was me with this movie.
