it’s probably a mistranslation, pretty sure they meant to say “took care” just like the subs in 6:55 at 0:31 the korean word is “육아” which means parenting, but in the subs they put babysitting, so yeah im sure its just mistranslation :)

Because no parent will say 'I am parenting tonight', and most commonly they say I am 'looking after/taking care of the children tonight', which translates, in Korean, to babysitting. So, no, they are not saying that dads cannot parent, it's simply a mistake due to mistranslation and differences in the common usage of the word in English.
