Simple ingenuity at it's finest, two axles, a pulley, a motor and platform. I kind expected them to swap trains though.

People keep asking "why not just switch trains" .. that's NOT an option!! Look closely, this train just left Harrrys, it was upgraded with 3 T66 turbos, NOS, and a MOTEC System Exhaust. Switch trains? Are you crazy?

Oh, this is so cute! I like to watch the picture of those guys dismantle the train within the blink of an eye, and those boys hold onto their chickens.

I would love to travel to Cambodia one day, and take a relaxing ride on a bamboo train! How ingenious!

Yet they seem to be absolutely happy with their way of life and enjoying it! Why we westerners with the latest technology and equipment and freeway systems and with everyone driving their own cars can't seem to get along with each other at times, angry and depressed about little things... Why???

It's amazing how calm they are while doing this.

This is brilliant :) I remember going to an old railway line in France that had been turned into a tourist attraction. it had trolleys on it a bit like this but they were pedal powered

If this were the US, first thing that would happen is an argument, then probably a fist fight, then the police will show up, the fire department and the railway police. Tickets will be given and you can bet someone is going to jail. The owners of the track would be called who will in turn sue everyone for using their track illegally. In the mean time, every train currently on that track will have to be stopped, this will also affect the recipients of the cargo this train is scheduled to deliver at a certain time, people are getting paid to do all of this and this affects the bottom line of every business associated with it, we all know this is also a reason to sue whoever you can to recoup money because companies are considered individuals and they have rights. See the mess you have when you live in a capitalistic democracy, and all you had to do was spend a little effort and help each other and get on with your life. Nobody was hurt.

Or, more simple : Permutation of the passengers and the 2 vehicles run backwards . It's a very nice and poetic means of transport. Thanks for sharing.

So nice to reuse those tracks, here in Africa they had long become scrap metal for beer. Love simplicity people got somewhere. Good luck to them.

In America we all just jump on the front of the train at the same time and do a double front flip over the opposite train and land back on the track.

What a thrill that has to be to cruise along in an open railcar enjoying a nice breeze at that speed! No signaling system or radio communication. No way this would be allowed in the USA as the FRA safety bureaucrats would flip their wigs! Amazing how smooth the trackwork is. Of course the weight of these rail cars is very light which helps in the roadbed and track not wearing out so quickly as they would under heavy diesel or steam powered locomotives.

This family simply just needs to get on the right track!

I've never seen these bamboo trains before. Quite unique! I would want to visit Cambodia, if but for this local experience (I'm sure the country has much to offer beyond these trains).

Ive always wondered what happens when two of something I didn't know existed meet in a place ive never heard of.

Bamboo is actually a remarkably strong material because of the way it grows.

At first, I was certainly bamboozled
