TheTalko i don't wear makeup bc I am not confident in my own skin... I wear makeup bc it's an art to me and the only thing I am ACTUALLY kind of good at in this big depressing world.😂😭😁
If you have "perfect" skin. Why do you use makeup? And why the fuck did you feel like saying ew? You have good skin. Good for you. You just can't accept people with imperfections?
Emma - yea im trying to drink like 2 juices and eat only half a bar of candy a week and washing my face 2 a day and moisturizing it twice a day and my skin is so clear
Try living with bad acne and nothing helped. "Your flaws make you who you are", well I don't want acne to "make me who I am lol". Luckily by the time I hit 21 it started to subside. Still, I wash my face twice a day and I still have problems.
+Jaclyn Altman I totally agree about acne. No one thinks that's attractive. That's just life. Mine did not subside until a few years ago when I turned 40. But I think having oily skin keeps you younger and I pass for 8 or so years younger and my skin is smoother now. I don't need powder. So if your skin is still oily, you'll probably look very good when you're older. From your pic, you look great right now anyway! Good luck
I'm a guy and I literally only started wearing makeup a year ago and I never had perfect skin before that. It's not even acne it's just slight redness or tiny red spots that are just there or even beauty spots that I don't like. This whole "everyone is beautiful, you don't need makeup" mentality is annoying. Yeah, other people might find me beautiful without makeup but I LOVE makeup so I'm gonna keep wearing it. Not saying I find myself hideous without some foundation and powder on, I just love that perfect skin look without any imperfections.
I wasn't implying that you shouldn't wear make up. I was saying that if you don't your skin might clear up. I wear make up everyday and I know I'm not prepared to stop
Like I already said, my skin didn't get worse when I started using makeup. It's not bad either, it's just not as perfect as I want it to be and let's be honest, pretty much nobody has perfect skin.
Carrie Faerie Not everyone. I don't. Just Lotion or Sun screen. wearing any makeup always irritates my skin or eyes so I just don't. Everything in media doesn't influence me.
Not exactly related but I don't understand why people care so much about what women do and don't do. I wear minimal makeup on weekdays, eye liner and mascara. Done. Maybe a little bit of bb cream if I feel like it's needed. On some days I'll go full glam. And on some days I'll go out barefaced. But you know what? I don't think about it. It doesn't change ANYTHING. Full on glam me is still me, minimal makeup me is also me, no makeup me is also me. Confidence should come from within, if you think you look good then it will shine through. There's no right or wrong with appearances. It's your bloody face, it's your bloody canvas and you should do whatever you want. The "no makeup is better" "makeup is better" narratives bore me, I just don't get what's the big deal and why should one be above the other. I don't put on makeup thinking I'm "covering my flaws" or trying to trick anyone. I don't go out with no makeup thinking I'm making a statement about natural beauty either. It's just how I decided my face would look today. That's it.
its pretty sad how they feed into stereotypes. I think makeup is the same as clothing. Sometimes you go fancy and sometimes you don't. The only people I know in real life (that I have spoken to about it) that feel like they can't go out without makeup are people with acne or professional jobs that also require heels and a suite. Maybe it is because I live outside of the US but I can't imagine makeup is this complicated for most people.
So anytime you hear the phrase "harmful toxins" you should be apprehensive. Makeup is a pretty minor vice in that regard. You should be more concerned about what they put in your daily vitamin. Don't buy into chemicals phobias- the air and water we need to live have chemical names. That being said, moderate. Something something moderation. Don't sleep in your makeup. Make sure you respect your skin if you want it to be tight and firm for awhile. @Kim Hanbin IDK how old you are, but skin complications are a natural part of early womanhood. But taking good care of your skin is easy to do when you understand how it works. Do a tiny bit of research and make sure you're keeping it clean and moisturized according to your local climate. With a little effort and patience, it'll clear up and you'll have a lifetime of lovely skin.
Jackie Dangerously I'm 19. I don't really have acne or stuff. But there are just times where I get breakouts and my skin doesn't feel right. I usually use moisturizing creams and vitamin oils. I can't really do alot about it... I'm pretty sure it's because of all the hormones when I'm on my period( I always get breakouts when I'm on my period). But unfortunately my skin never looks/feels smooth 😅
Oh get over yourself, society tells people to do things all the time, that doesn't mean we have to listen, sure, but saying "society isn't telling you to do anything" is a downright lie. Unless if you live under a rock or something.
what the magical skin fairy doesn't do the mysterious skin healing?! this video makes it sound like without makeup your skin will just perfect itself. Funny how I managed to get cystic acne before I even considered wearing foundation/concealer. My skin fairy must be retired
Same here! My hormonal acne caused me to buy foundation before I ever actually had an interest... now I don't leave my house without! My skin still sucks, but it is genetics and the scrubs and cleansers I've bought only work for the skin surface acne (what they're talking about in this video)
Intrigue there is laser type treatment for acne. I got it done for about a year and a half. Also I found birth control to regulate my hormones (there are some that can help with acne so if you are interested specify that you are looking for an acne fix and only want pills that help with that). That combined with an acnilogic serum cream changed my skin. No joke the laser even got rid of scarring and I had some bad ones. I think it was called Red light or infrared and it was based of the rays of the sun. Also it doesn't hurt. The pills my doctor gave me wreaked absolute havoc on my liver and the topical creams they gave me for cysts ruined my skin over years of use. The beauty clinic did more for my skin than any doctor ever and they even gave a special foundation to go with the treatment and provide adequate nutrients to the skin as well as protection from the sun. It does cost a lot of money though.
europe has banned more than 1300 chemicals from personal care products and the US only bans 11 of them. There is a major issue with carcinogens and parabens in our makeup
My mum's a dermatologist and she told me that as long as you use a good cleanser and skincare it doesn't make a difference wearing makeup or not. Also wash your brushes and use a primer so the foundation doesn't sink to the pores
there is dermatologist recommended "makeup". my aunt is in the field and studied under a popular derm in the area and they basically like to sell you sunscreen makeup. its.. like.... all the makeup you use but with a sunscreen base. and they say to use "noncomedogenic" products which means stuff that doesnt clog pores. im no specialist but just cuz her mom said its ok doest mean shes saying cake ur face. shes saying use it but watch HOW you use it.
I dont think makeup damage ur skin there is no evidence to proof that makeup can damage ur skin. In my opinion it is depends on ur gene and hormones how it react to product u used. I had severe acne problem after i decided to go makeup free. And its really freaking me out. I did everything do make sure it didnt go worse. I eat plenty of fruits and vegies do excercise 1hr everyday, seek a doctor and it still didnt change much. I suffer 3year ++ of acne. My face look worse everyday. Full of red and dull. Then i decide to go on makeup again to cover my imperfection. Now i still have acne sometimes but it much better than i go make up free. People also notice i much younger and glower with natural makeup.not like heavy instagram make up
Ya me too....i have never used makeup (foundation and all)...i m 19..i still go bare face to university just with a tinted lipbalm..i can't even imagine how people can go daily with their face with full of make-up. And i like those people who don't use makeup
coming from a person who only really wears eye makeup and lipstick and I have a great skin routine but still manage to have acne. don't get mad over this video. some of these things are true but alot of it is exaggerated tbh. I've had acne since middle school and people who wear pounds and pounds of makeup still manage to have perfect skin. stuff like that isn't always a matter of "oh your skin is just dirty" acne is something that can be caused by stress, hormones, genetics, etc. its different for every person. and the confidence part is a matter of opinion. who cares what people think about you. confidence is when you feel good about yourself and don't look for the approval of other people. so as long as your wearing makeup for fun and can take it off and still feel pretty good about yourself you honestly have no issues. wear makeup cause you want to not because you have to
I agree completely. I even know many people who wear makeup and because of that take way better care of their skin. The girls I am friends with that wear makeup also use face masks and regularly moisturize and exfoliate. On the other hand the handful of friends I have that almost never wear makeup also are less conscious of their skin in general. I don't think that everyone with no makeup is super confident and I don't think that everyone who wears makeup is hiding. In the end I think it comes down to style and preference. My hormone imbalance and genetics gave me terrible acne as a teen. I had never worn any makeup at that point except for eye liner. Obviously wearing loads of makeup everyday and not using proper skin care products isn't good for you but this makes it seem like people who don't wear makeup have magical self-nourishing pure skin and everyone thinks they are a beacon of confidence.
Aaliyvh147 you're totally right, most acne is due to hormones and genetics rather than bad cleansing routines. I had cystic acne for 2 years when I graduated high school. I still wear the same amount of makeup now as I did when I had it and it hasn't affected my skin at all.
As a teenager I wore makeup everyday and it actually lowered my self-esteem because I thought I needed it to look good. I stopped wearing any in college (only if I was going out to a birthday or event or something) and my self confidence boosted like crazy (I stopped caring basically) and my skin cleared up as well. Don't usually break out at all.
Poppy's Robot TV Not everyone does it to impress people, feel better about themselves, or to make themselves "prettier." They wear it cause they want to, and because they know their makeup is looking good👌👌
*_Hannah s_* Well it's your opinion that make up is fum but really does damage in your skin. I only wear make up whenever there's a special occasion or something
Yeah but it's full of toxins which means that you poison your body and of course it's your choice but people need to know that all these beauty products are not so good for our health and bodies as their producers claim.
Thanks, captain obvious. Also this is the most exaggerated crap I've ever heard and I don't even wear makeup all the time. I do it because I LIKE HOW IT LOOKS ON ME. And guess what? Everything could potentially go wrong. Like clothing! Show your "true beauty" by going nude! pffffffffffftttt screw off
Omg yess. None of this stuff has never happened to me. And I wear makeup because I like to not to hide anything I can choose to go makeup less whenever I want to.
karamei It doesn't mean that you have to be so rude. Almost all of that shit happened to my classmates or friends. It's your decision if you want to go natural or wear make up. Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean that is bullshit.
Yes! Nowadays i dont even wear a lot on the times i actually wear makeup either bc even a little does a big difference since i rarely ever use it so thats a plus hah
I am NEVER and I mean *NEVER* going to learn to APPRECIATE my gaping dark circles. They don't make me who I am, they make me look like a ghoul who's out for some soul hunting. Concealing them every so slightly helps me going through the day without getting questions like "Did you even sleep last night? or comments like "DAMN, you look like you got punched in the eye" :)
Ah! I know what you're going through. "Did you sleep last night?" "You look tired." "You look like shit!" "Are you stressed?" I hate my dark circles. :(
Because you feel insecure about them? I am an albino and have a ton of freckles, and sometimes I don't even want to take pictures because I look so spotted. I think my freckles look horrible on me.
i like the message of this video, but i wish they would have used actual no-makeup-faces for all and not just some of the no-makeup pictures - it kind of goes agains the message to not do that.. like - dont wear makeup, youre pretty without it, - but only if you look like this (pretty girl with natural makeup)
Yeah it's pretty easy to go makeup free if you have perfect skin like the celebrities you showed. Going makeup free with my face full of acne does not make me feel confident at all, this would have been more accurate and empowering if you showed people going out makeup free without having perfect skin.
Some people have very fine skin if they treat it right. Of course, I know for a fact that you can't control acne, since I have it myself. But they go away pretty quickly since I use products daily to help reduce them. I'm not sure if you use products or ones that work but mine do, and if you're curious to know what I use, just ask me. But I do very much feel more confident without makeup, and acne shouldn't be something holding you back from showing yourself. I don't mind people with makeup, I just dislike it when people use it to cover up things like that.
To Shionxx12 I have never read so much bullshit in all my life. You haven't got a clue sweetheart, so why not give your arse a rest and crawl back into your cave. People get more skin damage through the suns rays and air pollution than they do by wearing foundation, which mostly have SPF in nowadays. I'm in my 50s and don't have wrinkles. I've never had acne and have been wearing make-up since I was 12. My mother, in her 70s has no wrinkles and has hardly ever worn make-up. Unless it's for special occasions and I will give her a natural looking make over. To enhance her beauty not disguise it. The one thing we have in common besides our genes, are we both have taken good care of our skin. Kept it clean and moist and we have never, ever bathed in the sun.
At 0:54 really... You are going to blame that on makeup? Stuff like that doesn't come from wearing makeup. Some people are prone to acne. And some people just don't wash their face or eat unhealthy diets and some people can't do anything about it! But cleaning your brushes on a regular basis and making sure to use the right makeup products is a better solution than to just stop. This video completely contradicts lots of your other videos. I bet none of y'all aren't even listening to the advice you are giving and stop putting on makeup. People don't just wear makeup to boost their confidence it's an art and you guys of all people should know that I'm not trying to be a hateful troll in the comments I just had a real problem with this video.
I agree with everything you're saying. Skin care and the effects of wearing make-up (frequently or infrequently) greatly varies from person to person. I typically never wear make-up, often opting for just some eyeshadow if I want, or more of a full face on the rare occasion. But I really don't wear make-up often at /all/, I never wash my face, and I definitely don't sleep on perfectly clean sheets all the time, but I have pretty minor acne problems and a small amount of discoloration across my face (just a little redness around the T-Zone, slight dark spots under the eyes). My sister, on the other hand, has a lot more trouble with acne than I do. She uses face washes, wears foundation most every day to cover it up, and washes her own sheets more than I do. In the past, she even tried acne treatments, yet she /still/ has these problems. Two people with very similar genes and yet such different problems. There is no be-all, end-all solution for skin problems, and people really need to be more understanding of that.
Emily Hilgeman As a professional makeup artist, i agree! Also, if someone is getting eye infections from their eyemakeup and brushes....damn...how dirty are their tools?!
I think women tend to care more about covering up their imperfections with foundation and concealer, rather than focusing on good skincare, drinking water and eating healthy.
V Gomez hahahaha most people do makeup because it's art. And it's beautiful art at that. A lot of people who do makeup have the best skin care routines, and are some of the healthiest people
Hello Littleboy214 everyone is different. I was a lot like you, but i am taking accutane and most of it is almost gone now. maybe she'll get breakouts later in life. it happens
Karen Gonzalez it doesn't mean that she does not wash her face..i had clean skin until i was 18 and i never wore make up.then it got weird..and when i was 19 my face was just horrible..i went to a dermatologist..washed my face 2 a day.used every product she said and still it did not help.i had a special towel for my face.changed pillowcase all the time.she even gave me antibiotics which did not work.in some periods i used make up and in some i did not use it..and there was no difference..anyway nutritionist helped me a little bit..but still not completely..so don't be mean..you don't know the trouble when you have acne until it happens to you..
I have pimples, and large pores from picking at my pimples. To this day, I have never once contoured my face, neck, or breasts, and on a special occasion, on goes the eyeliner, mascara, and some lipstick. I hate makeup because no matter what kind, no matter the brand, it always eventually irritates my face and i'll end up washing it off. I have never once done my eyebrows (the occasional pluck on the outside to tidy up stray hairs). I feel the most beautiful letting my imperfections shine. I have only worn fake lashes once, and when I do wear lipstick, no lip liner, and I DEFINITELY stay inside my natural lip line. I'm not worried about the idea of plumper looking lips. Now some females genuinely enjoy cosmetics, that does not make these females less confident or any less beautiful, all of us girls are amazing and beautiful.
Hailey Sharp As I have gotten older I agree with this idea since makeup can make you look older. I can glam it up, but prefer nothing at all. A little eyeliner, mascara and rosy lips is all I need.
The only thing people tell me when I decided to go without make up is "omg are you ill?? Oh my you look so tired bless you! Are you ok, you look rough!" Deffo nobody telling me I look glowing, radiant and youthful 😂😂😂
I don't wear make up, mainly because I'm lazy and I hate the feeling of all the gunk on my face, but if I ever leave the house without my glasses people react the same way
Little Billy KILL EM yeah, sure...just an art, this is the only reason millions of women use it. there is no other form of expressing art but make-up :))))) hahaha
I wear full glam makeup on some days. the others died down makeup but still full face. I still haven't gotten acne from it. know why? I take care of my skin.
Anna Baker you only get rid of the visible redness and irritation of the pimple if you clean your skin, but wear makeup. the makeup still clogs your pores and causes pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. it may not be visible, but your pores are still clogged and full of dirt and oil.
No. Don't say things you don't know everything about, please. Makeup clogs pores, is unnatural and foreign on your skin, and can cause allergic reactions and diseases.
I'm reading all these comments about how people should feel self-confident and not rely on makeup to feel that way, and you all couldn't be more wrong. Some people might wear make up for that purpose, but majority of us makeup wearers wear it because it's FUN. Think of it like a hobby. You like painting on a canvas? I like painting on my face. It's /fun/ to see how different products give different results on my skin, what new look I could pull off every day, etc. it's not because I'm insecure about my face, I could go makeup-less if I wanted to, and I have a bunch of times. But that's not the reason I wear makeup. I wear it because I love doing it. Don't be so quick to judge please.
2 years ago I had such bad acne that I had bumps on my face which bled and hurt. I got to the point where I got into a relationship and each time my boyfriend surprised me with a visit, I went to the bathroom to apply makeup before answering the door. I showed him my real face problem just after many months. And no, he didn't run. I got brave enough to go makeup free because of his support. Now I barely wear makeup and it has made me love myself so much more and be more accepting to people. I've used a basic skin routine in which I simply clean my pores. The scars also fade away in time. In 2 years, my face got almost cleared up. 2 normal pimples here and there. I'm feeling beautiful and I'm smiling more than ever
That's because people are so used to seeing your fake and bright face, that of course the contrast will look like you've suddenly become sick. Since most normal faces lose their shine when they get sick. Once people get used to your natural face they wont ask you that anymore, until you actually are sick. Men don't wear makeup and we don't get asked on the daily if we're sick. Because people are used to seeing our natural face.
i don't wear makeup but i think that's great! people seem to hate girly girls, i love them, and just girls who like to take care of themselves in general. it doesn't mean they're insecure.
Cecilia Leopold never been there...even as a child n when i was too young and unconfidant ide love puttin it on even when u didnt know how to i felt like itll make me look better n it does try it ud like it just do simple makeup
everyone getting offended needs to just calm down. the video is just talking about how now wearing makeup can help your skin and teach you to accept your flaws. it isn't trying to tell you that your any better or worse if you do wear makeup. not everything in this world has to be a personal attack. if you like wearing makeup then wear makeup, but don't attack other people if they prefer not to wear it.
me, not even in parties or any "special events".. i have acne but I just don't give a fuck about it because everyone in their life will at least have acne or even some pimples or one..
Makeup is for FUN. I don't wear makeup to look pretty I wear makeup because it's fun and it's like art. My school doesn't let us wear makeup so I don't wear makeup during the week but I wear full face glam on the weekend cuh uno it's fun 😂😂
Reem Ibrahim I thought so too at the begining and I ended up wearing it daily...for 15 years..I only did not wear it when I stayed at home but when I went out I felt I needed it. it's kind of an addiction I could say..you start liking it and then you can't live without it.
Lucia Tat i wear makeup daily but i only wear it because its fun putting it on in my opinion. i go out all the time without makeup and im perfectly confident (:
more than half of the people you've portrayed as not wearing makeup were wearing makeup. And you can clean out makeup from your pores. You can buy a ton of natural products with out "harsh chemecles" if you're willing to spend over 10 dollars. Plus i bet over 70% of the women working on this wear makeup.
You are completely gorgeous without make up. It's just that companies want money and for that they have to find flaws in us so we can change them using make up. Plus the standard of beauty is photoshopped so it's fake and unreal. You should just be confident in your skin but if you want to continue wearing make up, I'm not stopping you. Just trying to give you a little advice on self-confidence.
Then it's probably one of two things: Your diet or your hormones. Changing what you eat has a huge effect on acne. Also, you may be producing (or not producing) enough of a hormone. I have PCOS and have problems with this, but you can take medication to regulate your hormones. Also, drink plenty of water!
no no it's not the makeup itself, it's if it has unnecessary ingredients added into it that can cause irritation to the skin. For example- cosmeceutical Manufacturing 👨🏭 companies will add in strong perfumes in hopes that it will make the makeup more appealing to the consumer but in reality fragrance is not considered "skin care" and is labeled as a known irritant to the skin. So if you see fragrance or perfume listed in the ingredients you can be almost certain that your risking your skin damage by allowing it contact with that known irritant. Another irritant often added, but not needed at all, is due or fake coloring. This is simply added to make the item, for example lotion, more beautiful or sellable. Such as a cutesy pink lotion. Just another irritant that should be avoided. So, do you have to avoid makeup all together? No not at all! Just make good decisions on what brands you are purchasing and the ingredients that you will potentially put on your body! Companies will usually take the time to label their products appropriately. You should be able to easily scan over a label with your eyes and see the list of things like : No added Dyes! Or; No Artificial ingredients added ever! With all that said. I'm sure with or without makeup ....Your TRUE BEAUTY shines from within😉 🌈🦋✨🌺✨🌈🦋
Tina Belcher Hammylton Trash Some people just wear it for the artistic aspect and for fun. Like, I can cover up redness and imperfections with foundation and concealer but I can also have fun and be creative with ith eye shadow, highlighters, and lipsticks. Most people famous in the beauty business have perfect skin and pretty faces anyway so clearly everyone who wears makeup isn't severely insecure.
I like not wearing makeup because it makes me feel so raw, real, and uncut. Kinda like what you see it's what you get and I don't give a shit if you don't like it. As an art admirer, it really does make me feel like raw, unfiltered art. 👊👑
Not to mean I don't like makeup. It's fun to play with and I admire many makeup artists, and I recognize it as an art form. I will definitely glam myself up for my birthday today! 🙌💕🌸🌹🎉🎉
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 NIV
Anne van den Berg don't say that, you're basically harming your own emotions, you are beautiful for who you are on the inside and don't let the 'outside self control'WOW THIS WENT TOO DEEP😹😹😹
Modern day makeup does not cause acne. You are thinking about makeup from the 50's,60's and 70's. Unless you are a complete pig and don't clean your brushes/sponges,then it will not cause acne. That being said I have not worn makeup in months and over the past couple of years I have worn it maybe 5 or 6 times. I still get as much acne as before. My skin has not improved at all.
People bully. Keep in mind that now, not only highschool students and adults wear makeup. And it's a standard to have flawless skin (achieved by covering it with makeup) so when someone all of a sudden doesn't wear any makeup, they stand out and become a target.
I would never in a million years say that it's the victims fault, but I would also never throw someone out into the open and expect them to not be bullied. Ruthless people will be ruthless and nothing can stop that. If girls get bullied because of their appearance, makeup isn't mandatory, but it helps, speaking from experience.
Before my skin was too pale, but otherwise perfect. I stopped wearing make-up 2 years ago, cos i was too busy. What I got in return: 1. My pores got really bigger ( they could "breath" better) 2. I got big amount of acne on my nose - because my pores were open for all street dust to go in. 3. I never had freckles before (till 23) , but now with the skin unprotected from the sun (by the make-up) and after only ONE USE of professional Anti-UV light creme I get a lot of them during sunny days and they not come off for half a year ((( 4. Whole skin looks much dryer and unequal color. 5. I not even gonna talk about the toxins - ones they emerge on the skin sun turns them to the red spots, that heal like "forever", turning them to the freckles at the end.. 6. After driving a bike a while without make-up made me have tiny acne's on all the parts of the skin that wasn't covered by the helmet The WORST part of it - I became too lazy to put it on and "have no time for it anymore"! :((( So, girls BEWARE make-up protects your skin from the pollution, fine dust and other stuff outside. One advice - to remove make up use a shampoo and as for remaining traces from mascara - use the natural oil for the hair.
Top Secret UFO Files You have acne because you couldn't take care of your skin, not because you stopped wearing makeup.. If you really took care of your skin, you would have few (if any) blackheads or whiteheads.
Talk about preaching much. I have friends who wear makeup and have gorgeous, acne free skin. I wear makeup and I have a lot of acne, I had acne even when I DIDN'T wear makeup. If I had flawless skin, I wouldn't wear makeup! I enjoy wearing it, I still have a skin care routine. People should feel free to wear makeup if they choose to.
You can save time by keeping your opinion to yourself. Some people wear make up for fun and those celebritys your showing wear more make up than anyone.
the video never says you're a better person or you're prettier without makeup, it's just talking about the benefits of going without makeup. there is no way to disagree with the fact that it is so much better for your skin and it is just informing the public about that.
I still got acne and blemishes when I went makeup free. In fact, I didn't start wearing makeup until I got into college and my face was pretty horrible no matter what I did. So honestly I have nothing to lose even if I do wear it.
I agree! 💁🏽 I recently got my bangs cut and the only thing I regret about it is the fact that my hair hides the mole that I have on the upper right side of my forehead 😔
Uhm i have moles in bad places of my face. One near my apples of my cheeks and the rest are scattered unlike freckles. Flat dark moles , and people calls me dalmatian, or " tuldok face " meaning (period) in Filipino. I dont like my moles.. Because people also bullies me and questions me why do my face look spotless THROUGH PICTURES AND SNAPCHAT but in person i have DOTS they asked '... So yeah.. I have 3 freckles in both side of my cheeks and im fine with it. But moles i hate it. :(
SQUlGGY Yes but isn't that redundant? I'll take care of my skin then put crap on it later. What ever floats your boat. Actually, I like makeup. Just not foundation and concealer because it can clog pores. I like eyeliner, eyeshadow, contour, and highlight though.
I can't treat my dark under eye circles 🙈 That's why I usually tend to wear concealer even if a very thin layer !! I wish I could really find a good treatment !
I feel like it is hard for most girls and women alike to accept their flaws and decide to stop wearing makeup. they have been raised in a society that tells women that acne or scars should not be shown. they have also been told not to wear makeup like in this video but are shown people with beautiful skin. People with acne probably do not feel as confident without makeup as the do with makeup. Most women are caught in a vicious cycle of wearing makeup to look better, then it ends up ruining their skin, then putting on more makeup to cover it up. When I was in school, people always told me I wore too much makeup (i literally wore foundation and mascara, thats it) so i stopped wearing makeup. then i was told i had a hideous face because of the acne i had. sorry for this long rant XD. I was caught in a vicious cycle like most women are. Okay this rant probably makes no sense idk where i am going with this. In conclusion, while you may not get complements from not wearing makeup and it may not help you feel more confident, in the long run, it will help your skin a lot. You just have to accept your flaws. okay im done i don't think any of this makes sense omg.
I used to have ache but after looking for a solution to my problems for many many years, I finally have reasonably clear skin. The funny thing is, if I'm wearing just a bit of lipstick and eyeshadow (the only makeup I will wear), I get compliments while people who wear full face makeup don't since everyone is used to them looking that way. The same people are also asked if they are sick when they don't wear makeup. People are used to my normal face without makeup so no one ever thinks that something is wrong with me if I'm not wearing it.
If you have acne and you cover it up with makeup, it helps if you take it off as soon as you get home. I started doing that last week and my face slightly improved
I don't wear foundation but a bit of concealer because I really hate that I always have dark circles no matter what I do... But at the moment they escalated a bit because I don't sleep much 😅
if you always put concealer on it probably won't get better with the dark circles. From what I saw on myself it helps a lot to go without concealer. the air and the sun is 'refreshing' or something and the circles get less. Even without much sleep.
Miss Keena same hateble problem. ..but you can apply permanent make up on them..expensive but the people don't look at you like you are sick if you go around without make up
Bati-Fla -Bur Hmmmm... I'm still a student and I thought the point of this video was more like to show reason why not wear make up at all.. Don't get me wrong. I think permanent make up is something useful if you dont want to waste time on putting on make up... But I actually rather wear no make up than permantent make up.. I dunno.. It's just how I feel about it ^^''
Lol my skin actually clears up with makeup. Or maybe it's just because I deeply wash my skin after I wear it. It may take me a long ass time to put on but at least I look glam afterwards.
A lot of this is BS makeup a majority of the time is only harmful to your skin if you are not properly educated on skincare or taking the prevantive measures to protect your skin before application ie, cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizer, spf, primers. Therefore you end up choose products with harsh ingredients like alcohol which dries your skin out or you are not properly removing makeup at the end of the day a lot of people think makeup wipes or just washing your face with a cleanser is all you need to do when in reality there is so much debris the human eye cannot see that is being left behind on your face. My skin is so much more radiant and acne free now I actually had a lot acne before I started wearing makeup and educating myself on all natural skincare regimens.
Also I really wish people would realize that for some of us makeup is a form of expression and in some cases just fun to do. I find doing my makeup to be a stress reliever and something that keeps me calm not everyone wears makeup to impress men or because we are insecure its just nasty how much hate men & women get for simply playing with pigmented colors on their face and even if you are insecure if makeup helps you feel better about yourself thats nobody else's business but your own do what makes YOU happy I'm tired of comments and videos like this subliminally forcing people to conform their lives to please other people's expectations and ideals of how they should look.
Please educate me more. I think as a kid I didn't really follow proper hygienic skincare and a lot of times didn't take off my makeup at night. Now I have light acne but I'm sure it could get worse. I always used to be able to eat oily foods but now I can't and it affects my body weight too!
Finally someone said it! I've said this so many times to people, and they still don't understand. When you learn to do makeup, you have to learn to take it off, and in that process, you learn how to take care of your skin issues, and develop a routine. I had some acne coming in when i was a pre-teen, but when i learned how to do makeup, i learned how to take it off, and how to make my skin smoother for an even better makeup application. And I don't appreciate how people think that if you wear makeup, you have bad skin, when in reality, it's the opposite! so many "Beauty Gurus" here on youtube and Instagram teach you how to do everything, from how to take off your makeup, to exfoliating and moisturizing, and also finding a mask that's great for you! You can learn so much from just simple, 1 minute videos on IG, or 10 minutes on RU-vid. THANK YOU for actually having accurate examples and knowledge!
i think anytime you will see it like something, what makes your face special. when i was 13 the people say that my freckles look like dirt in the face but i always like them.
Rose G. WYM that is adorableeee. So many people would kill for freckles and dimples and you have BOTH of them ;-; You're probably the epitome of beauty xD
Honestly little middle school me was scared to no wear make up to school(stupid right). One day I didn't wear make up and I was even scared to look people in the eye without make up. Not wearing make up actually helped me with me self confidence because people treat you the same and you forget your not even wearing make up.
I wear makeup literally every single day. I don't remember the last time I didn't wear makeup honestly. I have maybe, not wore makeup no more than 10 times in like 7 years, and my skin is great! I use great skincare, I never sleep in makeup, I always have an SPF on. I don't think wearing makeup is bad for you.
Legal Fiction Natural Fact he is telling you HIS skin is great even though he wears make up every day and therefore has proof that make up doesnt really damage your skin if you look after your skin and you are telling him he is wrong , dafuq? Btw When i wear make up I cake it up and my skin is flawless and I dont do much to it just wash it all off, my point is skin is about genetics, some have great skin some struggle make up has Nothing to do with it, silly
ilovetemfo I do agree with your point of view but the sun damages your skin and sometimes the damage can only been seen under UV light. Perhaps the damage done to your skin using makeup has a similar effect? I don't wear any makeup and I eat well I'm a vegetarian and I still get bad skin now and again ( mainly due to stress and working long hours ) but I have been told I look very young for my age and I believe that's because I don't wear makeup and even with flaws my skin looks healthy.
Clarissa Diaz not always. It's just if you have naturally blotchy skin, if you are naturally blushed(rosy cheeks) like there's a lot of reasons and it's not just because you wear makeup
Freckles are not imperfections. They are the reason I do not wear foundation. I wear mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow (a little bit) and from time to time, concealer for red acne spots. I also do not wear it every day (too lazy to do that), but I feel kinda better with what I wear because my eyes are kinda invisible otherwise, since I am a blonde AND my eyes are kinda small (but I like them). No eye infections for me from mascara because I wear contact lenses. ^^ And if I do not wear makeup, I look too young. I have been asked multiple times if I am 18 when I want to drink alcohol (I am a European) despite being over 20 now. When I wear the little makeup I have, nobody questions it. Ever.
