@@pizzaslice3891 me and my team went 4-3, lost the first round of playoffs 36-0 … we got smoked, man I miss it and wish I could’ve proved myself in practice more, I wish coaches put me out more as linebacker and tight end to catch passes.
High school football playoffs are rough man. When one teams victory calls for a huge celebration another teams loss is a door closing in there face. I wouldn’t trade it for the world but it is just so sad.
It’s why we need sports. It teaches us what it’s like to win but maybe, and more importantly, how to handle losing. Too many kids get rewarded now when they lose. That doesn’t teach them anything.
I rarely ever see a Varsity stadiums lights dance like that but Its pretty neat, that play is like super bowl 49 to him, intercepted at the most critical time
Feel bad for the seniors😢 I had an older brother who was a senior and his last football game was just like this. He never played football again. This is just heartbreaking. Also, respect for the QB he will think it was his fault😢
That QB is gonna be fine. Sure he’ll feel crappy the rest of the night, maaaaybe a little tomorrow. But if they were in overtime then they were ball’n. It just didn’t work out. But they have nothing to hang their heads about. That said, as a highschool football coach, it’s pretty sweet to be a part of that, win or lose.
That’s it. The good and the bad, it’s all out there on that field. And it’s worth every bit of sacrifice and struggle. Yeah, that QB will remember that play for the rest of his life but he’ll also remember everything else that went into that season, everything that made that team a brotherhood. It’s the heartbreak and the immeasurable joy, that’s what goes down underneath those Friday night lights.
as much as this sucks way to go 15 on the other team knowing all he had to do was fall down after that pic to seal the deal, great field awareness, also that quarterback slung that, obviously he is good was hoping he had a receiver open the throw looked like a beauty in the air. not mention lack of blocking on the blind side, that end was already at the qb by the time he was starting to roll out tough play to make.
Was that Aaron Rodgers? Because you seem to be expecting the QB to be able to fire a 25 yard diagonal bullet across his body while being chased to the right, from almost the right sideline to the opposite side of the field in the end zone where the 1:1 matchup is. Most NFL QBs can’t make that throw. This isn’t Madden 24. It’s a high school QB.
@@boss_tum you don’t know Jack about football if you think a high school QB can make a 25-30 yard pass running towards right sideline at the 15, throwing all the way to the left side of the field in the end zone. Even if the ball somehow got there, it would be batted down or intercepted. How can any adult who likes football not understand that?
@@boss_tum look where the “open” receiver on the end zone is. He’s one on one, but by the time a throw gets there, there will be multiple defenders there. The big issue was that pass protection broke down immediately and QB was straight up running for his life to his right. Most HS QBs can’t even throw on the run at all, let alone across their body to opposite direction, which is where all the other receivers were. Which receiver did you have in mind? You can see all of the ones that have a shot at the end zone. And this is final play of game, it has to be a TD.
Just lost our game in districts last night. I’m a sophomore but I really felt bad seeing our senoir QB RBs and some other players play they’re last snaps ever
It's pretty rough. Watched my brother in law all season. Game before state finals they just fall apart. Their player going to Ohio State gets his shit rocked in the 1st half and is out the game
I feel it i just lost my playoff game today and I returned my pads and helmet i was crying my dad said it was ok because I mostly score every touchdown
senior year, down 2pts, our qb took a sack on 4th and long with 2 min left in the game instead of just launching it into the right half of the endzone where both i and the tightend were for a possible game winner. we were obviously pissed, and he felt like an idiot. that was game 5 of the season and ended up being our only loss. that would've been our highschools first ever undefeated season, and would still be the only one as of now. it's been 14 years and i've since lost touch with both of them, but i know we all still think about that night 😩
Damn my lil bro was starting QB for his highschool as a Jr and he tore his ACL in like week 8 they ended up still winning the state championship he got to celebrate on the sideline with crutches....well his senior year down by 3 in the semi finals game to go to Heinz Field he threw a pick I felt so bad for him that was his last throw ever it's so sad
You win some and you lose some. But you keep on keeping on. Never too early to learn that lesson. If you can dream and not make dreams your master; If you can think and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same, If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And - what’s more - you’ll be a man, my son.
as a high school baseball player I have been carrying some weight my freshman year I took my team to the state championship I was throwing fastballs that hit 100 miles the they made a comeback tied it up went to extra innings the last inning we were up by 1 runner on second base batter in the box final pitch threw it right down the middle he swung sent it flying in the air my center fielder was tracking it before he could jump to get it the ball went over the fence to this day I think what did I do wrong what could I have done but baseball is baseball I love playing baseball the thing the coaches said to us after the game was never give up keep going but remember you can’t always be a winner but times flys brothers don’t die what he meant was trust in your self and your team 2 years later made it to the state championship again blow out my arm after I was benched the backup pitcher came in last strike away from winning he threw it batter hit it my pitcher started running looking in the sky kid you not he dove straight into the dirt sand was everywhere he hooped up started jumping with excitement turns out he caught the ball umpire said out then called ball game we took home a state championship
Yep looks exactly like my high school days. 5'8" qb can't even see over the line, 3-4 INTs a game. It was fun keeping the other teams under 10 points and still losing 🙄
Sorry thought you were one of those morons who think the guy getting helped up is the QB....there are ALOT of them. I will say that the QB actually does look pretty tall though.
