Awesome video! I started playing a lot more Viper partly because of you and I want to thank you for the inspiration! It's awkward to play her solo controller on anything but Icebox and Breeze but whenever there's an opportunity I will take her. She's awesome as an anchor on Lotus and Bind and the lurk setups are literal util magnets for enemies xD

Loved the video!! I feel like i always learn something from your videos (as a main viper player xD) I have a question for you Raion, did you know that Viper's snakebites can be used to break Cyphers trip on Sunset B site and on Breeze B site (the ones that are almost impossible to break without going throught it, right at the entrance)? Is this common knowledge for the rest of you guys in the comments? I have been using this on my ranked games a lot, since im low elo and my team doesnt always have any utility like shock darts or Raze's grenades to break the tripwires. if anyone is curious i can give more details on this.

Seeing your gameplay, I really hope they don't ruin Viper in the coming months. She had an 80% pickrate in VCT. I hope the addition of Clove will bring some much needed variety in controller picks.

Bringing clover will be easier for us viper main to play I rank, cuz that will mean we can double controller on all maps (cuz people will want to play clove) Pick rate will go up in rank aswell I think

@@RaionValorant Yeah playing solo controller in ranked is often frustrating. Especially when you have FOUR DUELISTS! The self revive and "pick me up" of Clove will allow the smelly Reyna only players to crawl out into society for the first time in 3 years.

@RaionValorant Actually, Clove will be an excellent substitute for most duelist, especially Reyna and Iso. She is actually a duelist with a smoke.

How do you do the setup at 8:01? The toxic screen is self explanatory and for the toxic orb I use the cloud as a reference point, the snakebite seems more precise - what are you lining up with? @Raion

If you are maining Viper, then you should always select the enemy highlight purple and avoid yellow. You will be able to spot the enemy in the ult much faster in purple and least with yellow.

I main viper for +3 years, I just don’t like purple outline, it’s a personal choice. But yeah, purple in ult is a bit better, but doesn’t change that much tbf

@@RaionValorant I'm a very low Elo player, I don't get many kills in a normal gunfights when queuing with a much higher ranked opponent. But when I ult, I destroy those higher ranked players most of the time especially in 3v1 situations and switching to purple helped a lot in that case.

@@heavymetal116 I’ll start by saying this is entirely subjective/personal opinion/preference for sure. (Plat/diamond viper main) In every other case besides ult though purple is horribly difficult to see (for me personally). I’m color blind so I use deutan yellow and they stick out like a sore thumb. 99% of the time I’m not in my ult and when I am inside ult I see them fine, especially when I swing outside ult and catch them off guard for free kills. And my molly doesn’t care what color outline they are, so I’ll personally stick to my preference and what I can see/react to best in every other situation and gunfight since that makes up the majority of gameplay/gunfights. Bottom line outline color should be chosen with the mindset as if you were agentless such as in dm to give your baseline the best odds in a regular gunfight, and use experience+game sense to deal with the few times that color may cause a small disadvantage instead of having a constant small disadvantage if that makes sense. If purple is better for you all around by all means rock it. However if one of the yellow’s or red is easier to pick out/aim at and tap heads then try that instead. Don’t nerf yourself the rest of the time just to maybe get a small advantage in one or two gunfights in your ult just because you saw one tik tok about enemies glowing in viper ult with purple and bloom on (I speak from experience here; also bloom is garbage and makes it harder to see, turn bloom off lol).
